1扫罗 对他儿子 约拿单 和众臣仆说，要杀 大卫 ； 扫罗 的儿子 约拿单 却甚喜爱 大卫 。
1And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should slay David; but Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David.
2约拿单 告诉 大卫 说：「我父 扫罗 想要杀你，所以明日早晨你要小心，到一个僻静地方藏身。
2And Jonathan told David, saying: 'Saul my father seeketh to slay thee; now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself.
3我就出到你所藏的田里，站在我父亲旁边与他谈论。我看他情形怎样，我必告诉你。」
3And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will speak with my father of thee; and if I see aught, I will tell thee.'
4约拿单 向他父亲 扫罗 替 大卫 说好话，说：「王不可得罪王的仆人 大卫 ；因为他未曾得罪你，他所行的都与你大有益处。
4And Jonathan spoke good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him: 'Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his work hath been very good towards thee;
5他拚命杀那 非利士 人，耶和华为 以色列 众人大行拯救；那时你看见，甚是欢喜，现在为何无故要杀 大卫 ，流无辜人的血，自己取罪呢？」
5for he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great victory for all Israel; thou sawest it, and didst rejoice; wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?'
6扫罗 听了 约拿单 的话，就指着永生的耶和华起誓说：「我必不杀他。」
6And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore: 'As the LORD liveth, he shall not be put to death.'
7约拿单 叫 大卫 来，把这一切事告诉他，带他去见 扫罗 。他就仍然侍立在 扫罗 面前。
7And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as beforetime.
8此后又有争战的事。 大卫 出去与 非利士 人打仗，大大杀败他们，他们就在他面前逃跑。
8And there was war again; and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled before him.
9从耶和华那里来的恶魔又降在 扫罗 身上（ 扫罗 手里拿枪坐在屋里）， 大卫 就用手弹琴。
9And an evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing with his hand.
10扫罗 用枪想要刺透 大卫 ，钉在墙上，他却躲开， 扫罗 的枪刺入墙内。当夜 大卫 逃走，躲避了。
10And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the spear; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the spear into the wall; and David fled, and escaped that night.
11扫罗 打发人到 大卫 的房屋那里窥探他，要等到天亮杀他。 大卫 的妻 米甲 对他说：「你今夜若不逃命，明日你要被杀。」
11And Saul sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning; and Michal David's wife told him, saying: 'If thou save not thy life to-night, to-morrow thou shalt be slain.'
12于是 米甲 将 大卫 从窗户里缒下去， 大卫 就逃走，躲避了。
12So Michal let David down through the window; and he went, and fled, and escaped.
13米甲 把家中的神像放在床上，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上，用被遮盖。
13And Michal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a quilt of goats' hair at the head thereof, and covered it with a cloth.
14扫罗 打发人去捉拿 大卫 ， 米甲 说：「他病了。」
14And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said: 'He is sick.'
15扫罗 又打发人去看 大卫 ，说：「当连床将他抬来，我好杀他。」
15And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying: 'Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.'
16使者进去，看见床上有神像，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上。
16And when the messengers came in, behold, the teraphim was in the bed, with the quilt of goats' hair at the head thereof.
17扫罗 对 米甲 说：「你为什么这样欺哄我，放我仇敌逃走呢？」 米甲 回答说：「他对我说：『你放我走，不然我要杀你。』」
17And Saul said unto Michal: 'Why hast thou deceived me thus, and let mine enemy go, that he is escaped?' And Michal answered Saul: 'He said unto me: Let me go; why should I kill thee?'
18大卫 逃避，来到 拉玛 见 撒母耳 ，将 扫罗 向他所行的事述说了一遍。他和 撒母耳 就往 拿约 去居住。
18Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19有人告诉 扫罗 ，说 大卫 在 拉玛 的 拿约 。
19And it was told Saul, saying: 'Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.'
20扫罗 打发人去捉拿 大卫 。去的人见有一班先知都受感说话， 撒母耳 站在其中监管他们；打发去的人也受 神的灵感动说话。
20And Saul sent messengers to take David; and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21有人将这事告诉 扫罗 ，他又打发人去，他们也受感说话。 扫罗 第三次打发人去，他们也受感说话。
21And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
22然后 扫罗 自己往 拉玛 去，到了 西沽 的大井，问人说：「 撒母耳 和 大卫 在哪里呢？」有人说：「在 拉玛 的 拿约 。」
22Then went he also to Ramah, and came to the great cistern that is in Secu; and he asked and said: 'Where are Samuel and David?' And one said: 'Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.'
23他就往 拉玛 的 拿约 去。 神的灵也感动他，一面走一面说话，直到 拉玛 的 拿约 。
23And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah; and the spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
24他就脱了衣服，在 撒母耳 面前受感说话，一昼一夜露体躺卧。因此有句俗语说：「 扫罗 也列在先知中吗？」
24And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say: 'Is Saul also among the prophets?'
