Berean Standard Bible
Asang Khongca Bible (Eastern Khumi Chin, 2019)
1“But now, O Job, hear my speech, and listen to all my words.
1Toe Job, ka lok hae tahngai ah; ka thuih ih loknawk boih hae tahngai ah.
2Behold, I will open my mouth; my address is on the tip of my tongue.
2Khenah, vaihi pakha ka angh moe, ka palai mah lokthuih.
3My words are from an upright heart, and my lips speak sincerely what I know.
4The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
4Sithaw ih Muithla mah ni kai hae sak moe, Thacak Angraeng ih takhi mah hinghaih ang paek.
5Refute me if you can; prepare your case and confront me.
5Na pathim thaih nahaeloe na patim ah, amsakcoek ah loe ka hmaa ah angdoe ah.
6I am just like you before God; I was also formed from clay.
7Surely no fear of me should terrify you; nor will my hand be heavy upon you.
8Surely you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard these very words:
8Na thuih ih lok to ka thaih, na thuih ih loknawk to ka thaih boeh,
9‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean, with no iniquity in me.
9kai loe ka ciim, zae sakhaih ka tawn ai; sakpazaehaih doeh ka tawn ai.
10Yet God finds occasions against me; He counts me as His enemy.
10Khenah, Sithaw mah ka zaehaih pakrong; kai hae a misa ah ang suek,
11He puts my feet in the stocks; He watches over all my paths.’
12Behold, you are not right in this matter. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.
12Khenah, na thuih pazae boeh; lok kang pathim han vop, Sithaw loe kami pongah len kue.
13Why do you complain to Him that He answers nothing a man asks?
14For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.
14Sithaw mah lok vaito thuih pacoengah, kalah loklam bang hoiah lok a thuih pae let, toe kami mah panoek pae thai ai.
15In a dream, in a vision in the night, when deep sleep falls upon men as they slumber on their beds,
15Kami loe iih angam moe, iihhaih ahmuen ah a iih, qum amang ah hnuksakhaih mah,
16He opens their ears and terrifies them with warnings
16a naa thungah lok to thuih pae moe, thuitaekhaih lok to paek,
17to turn a man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride,
17kami mah sak atimhaih to pahnawt moe, amoekhaih tawn han ai ah a sak.
18to preserve his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing by the sword.
18Anih hinghaih to tangqom thung hoiah Sithaw mah pahlong moe, sumsen hoi duek han ai ah pakaa pae.
19A man is also chastened on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,
19Anih loe iihhaih ahmuen ah angsong hanah nathaih hoiah kami to thuitaek moe, ahuhnawk boih to natsak;
20so that he detests his bread, and his soul loathes his favorite food.
20To naah a hinghaih mah buh to panuet moe, palung mah buhcaak angnaa pae ai.
21His flesh wastes away from sight, and his hidden bones protrude.
21Anih loe zaek kaeng boeh moe, kamtueng vai ai ahuhnawk doeh, amtueng boih.
22He draws near to the Pit, and his life to the messengers of death.
22Ue, a hinghaih mah taprong to pangh tathuk, a hinghaih amrosakkungnawk khaeah phak tom boeh.
23Yet if there is a messenger on his side, one mediator in a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him,
23Toe kaminawk khaeah toenghaih loklam to patuek hanah, van kami sangto thungah, maeto mah Sithaw hoi kami salakah laicaeh ah om nahaeloe,
24to be gracious to him and say, ‘Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found his ransom,’
24Sithaw mah anih to tahmen ah loe, Tangqom thung caeh han ai ah anih to pahlong ah; anih akranghaih to ka hnuk boeh, tiah thui tih.
25then his flesh is refreshed like a child’s; he returns to the days of his youth.
25To naah anih ih ngan loe nawkta ngan baktiah angcoeng let ueloe, thendoeng nathuem ih baktih toengah om let tih.
26He prays to God and finds favor; he sees God’s face and shouts for joy, and God restores His righteousness to that man.
26Anih mah Sithaw khaeah lawkthui ueloe, mikhmai hoihaih to hnu tih; anghoehaih hoi Sithaw ih mikhmai to hnu tih; Sithaw mah a toenghaih to kami hanah paek.
27Then he sings before men with these words: ‘I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.
27Anih mah kaminawk hmaa ah, Mi kawbaktih mah doeh ka zae moeng boeh, toenghaih to toeng ai ah ka sak moeng boeh, to hmuen mah kai han avanghaih tidoeh na paek ai, tiah thui nahaeloe,
28He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will live to see the light.’
28Anih mah tangqom thung hoiah a hinghaih to akrang ueloe, a hinghaih mah aanghaih to hnu tih.
29Behold, all these things God does to a man, two or even three times,
29Khenah, Sithaw mah hae hmuennawk hae kami khaeah sak toepsoep;
30to bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.
30anih hinghaih to tangqom thung hoiah amlaemsak let moe, hinghaih paek aanghaih thungah a caeh haih.
31Pay attention, Job, and listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.
31Aw Job, naa to patuengah loe, ka lok hae acoehaih hoiah tahngai ah; anghngai duem ah; lok kang thuih han vop.
32But if you have something to say, answer me; speak up, for I would like to vindicate you.
33But if not, then listen to me; be quiet, and I will teach you wisdom.”
33Toe lokthuih han na tawn ai nahaeloe, ka lok hae tahngai ah; anghngai duem ah, palunghahaih kang patuk han, tiah a naa.
