1'Come, and let us return unto the LORD; for He hath torn, and He will heal us, He hath smitten, and He will bind us up.
1“มาเถิด ให้พวกเรากลับไปหาพระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์ฉีกพวกเราเป็นชิ้น ๆ และพระองค์จะรักษาพวกเรา พระองค์ทำให้พวกเราบาดเจ็บ และจะพันบาดแผลให้
2After two days will He revive us, on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His presence.
2อีกสองวัน พระองค์จะให้พวกเราฟื้นขึ้น วันที่สาม พระองค์จะยกพวกเราขึ้น และพวกเราจะมีชีวิตอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์
3And let us know, eagerly strive to know the LORD, His going forth is sure as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.'
3ให้พวกเรายอมรับพระยาห์เวห์ ให้พากเพียรรู้จักพระยาห์เวห์ ดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นแน่นอนฉันใด พระยาห์เวห์จะปรากฏแน่นอนฉันนั้น พระองค์จะมาหาพวกเราเหมือนฝน เหมือนฝนฤดูใบไม้ผลิที่รดแผ่นดิน”
4O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that early passeth away.
4“เอฟราอิม เราจะทำอย่างไรกับเจ้า? ยูดาห์ เราจะทำอย่างไรกับเจ้า? ความรักของพวกเจ้าเหมือนเมฆยามเช้า เหมือนน้ำค้างที่หายไปแต่เช้าตรู่
5Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and thy judgment goeth forth as the light.
5เพราะฉะนั้น เราจึงใช้ผู้เผยพระวจนะฟันพวกเขาเป็นชิ้น ๆ ใช้ถ้อยคำจากปากเราฆ่าพวกเขา คำพิพากษาของพวกเจ้าเหมือนแสงฟ้าแลบ
6For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt-offerings.
6เราต้องการความเมตตา ไม่ใช่เครื่องบูชา ต้องการการรู้จักพระเจ้า มากกว่าเครื่องเผาบูชา
7But they like men have transgressed the covenant; there have they dealt treacherously against Me.
7แต่พวกเขาทำลายพันธสัญญาเหมือนอาดัม พวกเขาไม่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อเราที่นั่น
8Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, it is covered with footprints of blood.
8กิเลอาดเป็นเมืองของคนทำชั่ว เปื้อนเลือด
9And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so doth the company of priests; they murder in the way toward Shechem; yea, they commit enormity.
9เหมือนกลุ่มโจรซุ่มดักคน กลุ่มปุโรหิตก็ฆ่าคนบนทางไปเชเคม ทำอาชญากรรมอันน่าอับอาย
10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; there harlotry is found in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
10เราเห็นสิ่งน่าสยดสยองในวงศ์วานอิสราเอล มีการค้าประเวณีในเอฟราอิม อิสราเอลมีมลทินแล้ว
11Also, O Judah, there is a harvest appointed for thee! When I would turn the captivity of My people,
