1And Huram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar-trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.
1泰爾 王 希蘭 將香柏木運到 大衛 那裏，又差遣使者和石匠、木匠給 大衛 建造宮殿。
2And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted exceedingly, for His people Israel's sake.
2大衛 就知道耶和華堅立他作 以色列 王，又為自己的民 以色列 ，使他的國興旺。
3And David took more wives at Jerusalem; and David begot more sons and daughters.
3大衛 在 耶路撒冷 又立后妃，又生兒女。
4And these are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
4在 耶路撒冷 所生的眾子是 沙母亞 、 朔罷 、 拿單 、 所羅門 、
5and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet;
5益轄 、 以利書亞 、 以法列 、
6and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia;
6挪迦 、 尼斐 、 雅非亞 、
7and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
7以利沙瑪 、 比利雅大 、 以利法列 。
8And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went out to meet them.
8非利士 人聽見 大衛 受膏作 以色列 眾人的王， 非利士 眾人就上來尋索 大衛 。 大衛 聽見，就出去迎敵。
9Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.
9非利士 人來了，布散在 利乏音谷 。
10And David inquired of God, saying: 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt Thou deliver them into my hand?' And the LORD said unto him: 'Go up; for I will deliver them into thy hand.'
10大衛 求問上帝，說：「我可以上去攻打 非利士 人嗎？你將他們交在我手裏嗎？」耶和華說：「你可以上去，我必將他們交在你手裏。」
11So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there; and David said: 'God hath broken mine enemies by my hand, like the breach of waters.' Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
11非利士 人來到 巴力‧毗拉心 ， 大衛 在那裏殺敗他們。 大衛 說：「上帝藉我的手沖破敵人，如同水沖去一般」；因此稱那地方為 巴力‧毗拉心 。
12And they left their gods there; and David gave commandment, and they were burned with fire.
12非利士 人將神像撇在那裏， 大衛 吩咐人用火焚燒了。
13And the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.
13非利士 人又布散在 利乏音谷 。
14And David inquired again of God; and God said unto him: 'Thou shalt not go up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry-trees.
14大衛 又求問上帝。上帝說：「不要一直地上去，要轉到他們後頭，從桑林對面攻打他們。
15And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle; for God is gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.'
15你聽見桑樹梢上有腳步的聲音，就要出戰，因為上帝已經在你前頭去攻打 非利士 人的軍隊。」
16And David did as God commanded him; and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
16大衛 就遵着上帝所吩咐的，攻打 非利士 人的軍隊，從 基遍 直到 基色 。
17And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.
17於是 大衛 的名傳揚到列國，耶和華使列國都懼怕他。
