1Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead,
1Павел Апостол, избранный не человеками и не через человека, но Иисусом Христом и Богом Отцем, воскресившим Его из мертвых,
2And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia.
2и все находящиеся со мною братия - церквам Галатийским:
3Grace be to you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
3благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца и Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,
4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father:
4Который отдал Себя Самого за грехи наши, чтобы избавить нас от настоящего лукавого века, по воле Бога и Отца нашего;
5To whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.
5Ему слава во веки веков. Аминь.
6I wonder that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, unto another gospel.
6Удивляюсь, что вы от призвавшего вас благодатью Христовою так скоро переходите к иному благовествованию,
7Which is not another, only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
7которое, впрочем, не иное, а только есть люди, смущающие вас и желающие превратить благовествование Христово.
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.
8Но если бы даже мы или Ангел с неба стал благовествовать вам не то, что мы благовествовали вам, да будет анафема.
9As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.
9Как прежде мы сказали, так и теперь еще говорю: кто благовествует вам не то, что вы приняли, да будет анафема.
10For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
10У людей ли я ныне ищу благоволения или у Бога? людям ли угождать стараюсь? Если бы я и поныне угождал людям, то не был бы рабом Христовым.
11For I give you to understand, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
11Возвещаю вам, братия, что Евангелие, которое я благовествовал, не есть человеческое,
12For neither did I receive it of man, nor did I learn it; but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
12ибо и я принял его и научился не от человека, но через откровение Иисуса Христа.
13For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion: how that, beyond measure, I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it.
13Вы слышали о моем прежнем образе жизни в Иудействе, что я жестоко гнал Церковь Божию, и опустошал ее,
14And I made progress in the Jews’ religion above many of my equals in my own nation, being more abundantly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
14и преуспевал в Иудействе более многих сверстников в роде моем, будучи неумеренным ревнителем отеческих моих преданий.
15But when it pleased him, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
15Когда же Бог, избравший меня от утробы матери моей и призвавший благодатью Своею, благоволил
16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, immediately I condescended not to flesh and blood.
16открыть во мне Сына Своего, чтобы я благовествовал Его язычникам, - я не стал тогда же советоваться с плотью и кровью
17Neither went I to Jerusalem, to the apostles who were before me: but I went into Arabia, and again I returned to Damascus.
17и не пошел в Иерусалим к предшествовавшим мне Апостолам, а пошел в Аравию и опять возвратился в Дамаск.
18Then, after three years, I went to Jerusalem, to see Peter, and I tarried with him fifteen days.
18Потом, спустя три года, ходил я в Иерусалим видеться с Петром и пробыл у него дней пятнадцать.
19But other of the apostles I saw none, saving James the brother of the Lord.
19Другого же из Апостолов я не видел никого, кроме Иакова, брата Господня.
20Now the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I lie not.
20А в том, что пишу вам, пред Богом, не лгу.
21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
21После сего отошел я в страны Сирии и Киликии.
22And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea, which were in Christ:
22Церквам Христовым в Иудее лично я не был известен,
23But they had heard only: He, who persecuted us in times past, doth now preach the faith which once he impugned:
23а только слышали они, что гнавший их некогда ныне благовествует веру, которую прежде истреблял,
24And they glorified God in me.
24и прославляли за меня Бога.
