1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life:
1О том, что было от начала, что мы слышали, что видели своими очами, что рассматривали и что осязали руки наши, о Слове жизни,-
2For the life was manifested; and we have seen and do bear witness, and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father, and hath appeared to us:
2ибо жизнь явилась, и мы видели и свидетельствуем, и возвещаем вам сию вечную жизнь, которая была у Отца и явилась нам,-
3That which we have seen and have heard, we declare unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship may be with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3о том, что мы видели и слышали, возвещаем вам, чтобы и вы имели общение с нами; а наше общение - с Отцем и Сыном Его, Иисусом Христом.
4And these things we write to you, that you may rejoice, and your joy may be full.
4И сие пишем вам, чтобы радость ваша была совершенна.
5And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.
5И вот благовестие, которое мы слышали от Него и возвещаем вам: Бог есть свет, и нет в Нем никакой тьмы.
6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
6Если мы говорим, что имеем общение с Ним, а ходим во тьме, то мы лжем и не поступаем по истине;
7But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
7если же ходим во свете, подобно как Он во свете, то имеем общение друг с другом и кровь Иисуса Христа, Сына Его, очищает нас от всякого греха.
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
8Если говорим, что не имеем греха, - обманываем самих себя, и истины нет в нас.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
9Если исповедуем грехи наши, то Он, будучи верен и праведен, простит нам грехи наши и очистит нас от всякой неправды.
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
10Если говорим, что мы не согрешили, то представляем Его лживым, и слова Его нет в нас.
