1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life:
1ရှေ့ဦးစွာ ကပင် ဖြစ် ၍၊ ငါတို့သည် ကိုယ်တိုင်ကြား လျက်၊ ကိုယ် မျက်စိ နှင့် မြင် လျက်၊ စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှု ၍ လက် နှင့် စမ်းသပ် ခဲ့ပြီးသောအရာ တည်းဟူသောအသက် ရှင်သောနှုတ်ကပတ် တော်နှင့်ဆိုင် သောအရာကို သင်တို့အားပြသကြ၏။
2For the life was manifested; and we have seen and do bear witness, and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father, and hath appeared to us:
2ထိုအသက် သည်ထင်ရှား ခဲ့ပြီ။ ငါတို့လည်း မြင်ရ ကြပြီ။ ခမည်းတော် နှင့်အတူ ရှိ ဘူး၍၊ ငါတို့အား ထင်ရှား ခဲ့ပြီးသော ထိုထာဝရ အသက် ကို၊ ငါ တို့သည် သင် တို့အား သက်သေခံ ၍ ပြသ ကြ၏။
3That which we have seen and have heard, we declare unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship may be with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3ငါ တို့သည် ခမည်းတော် နှင့် ၎င်း ၊ သား တော်ယေရှု ခရစ် နှင့် ၎င်း၊ မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ ရသည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ သင် တို့သည် ငါ တို့နှင့် မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ စေခြင်းငှာ ၊ ငါတို့ကြား မြင် ရသောအရာကို သင် တို့အား ပြသ ကြ၏။
4And these things we write to you, that you may rejoice, and your joy may be full.
4သင်တို့၏ ဝမ်းမြောက် စရာအကြောင်း စုံလင် စေခြင်းငှာ လည်း ၊ ဤအရာ များကို ငါ တို့သည် ရေး လိုက်ကြ၏။
5And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.
5ထို နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်ထံ၌ ငါတို့သည်ကြား ရ၍၊ သင် တို့အား ပြသ သောတရား စကားဟူမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် သည်အလင်း ဖြစ် တော်မူ၏။ ဘုရားသခင် ၌ မှောင်မိုက် အလျှင်း မ ရှိ ။
6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
6ငါတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင် နှင့် မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ ပြီဟုဆို လျက်ပင် ၊ မှောင်မိုက် ၌ ကျင်လည် လျှင် ၊ သစ္စာ တရား ကိုမ ကျင့် ။ မုသာ ကိုသုံးသောသူ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။
7But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
7ဘုရားသခင် သည်အလင်း ၌ ရှိ တော်မူသကဲ့သို့ ၊ ငါတို့သည်အလင်း ၌ ကျင်လည် လျှင် ၊ အချင်းချင်း မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ ခြင်း ရှိ ကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင် ၏သား တော်ယေရှု ခရစ်၏အသွေး တော်သည်၊ ငါ တို့အပြစ် ရှိသမျှ ကို ဆေးကြော တော်မူ၏။
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
8ကိုယ်အပြစ် မ ရှိ ဟုငါတို့သည်ဆို လျှင် ၊ ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ် လှည့်ဖြား ကြ၏။ ငါ တို့၌ သစ္စာ တရားမ ရှိ ။
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
9ကိုယ် အပြစ် တို့ကို ဖော်ပြ တောင်းပန်လျှင် ၊ ငါ တို့အပြစ် များကိုလွှတ် ၍ ဒုစရိုက် ရှိသမျှ နှင့် ကင်းစင် စေခြင်းငှာ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သစ္စာ တရားနှင့်၎င်း ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းတရားနှင့် ၎င်း ပြည့်စုံတော်မူ၏။
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
10ဒုစရိုက် ကိုမ ပြု ပြီဟု ငါတို့သည်ဆို လျှင် ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို မုသာ အပြစ်တင်ကြ၏။ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော် လည်း ငါ တို့၌ မ ရှိ ။
