1當年，就是 猶大 王 西底家 登基第四年五月， 基遍 人 押朔 的兒子，先知 哈拿尼雅 ，在耶和華的殿中當着祭司和眾民對我說：
1And it came to pass in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananias the son of Azur, a prophet of Gabaon spoke to me, in the house of the Lord before the priests, and all the people, saying:
2「萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝如此說：我已經折斷 巴比倫 王的軛。
2Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3二年之內，我要將 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 從這地掠到 巴比倫 的器皿，就是耶和華殿中的一切器皿都帶回此地。
3As yet two years of days, and I will cause all the vessels of the house of the Lord to be brought back into this place, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon.
4我又要將 猶大 王 約雅敬 的兒子 耶哥尼雅 和被擄到 巴比倫 去的一切 猶大 人帶回此地，因為我要折斷 巴比倫 王的軛。這是耶和華說的。」
4And I will bring back to this place Jechonias the son of Joakim king of Juda, and all the captives of Juda, that are gone to Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
5先知 耶利米 當着祭司和站在耶和華殿裏的眾民對先知 哈拿尼雅 說：
5And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord:
6「阿們！願耶和華如此行，願耶和華成就你所預言的話，將耶和華殿中的器皿和一切被擄去的人從 巴比倫 帶回此地。
6And Jeremias the prophet said: Amen, the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words, which thou hast prophesied: that the vessels may be brought again into the house of the Lord, and all the captives may return out of Babylon to this place.
7然而我向你和眾民耳中所要說的話，你應當聽。
7Nevertheless hear this word that I speak in thy ears, and in the ears of all the people:
8從古以來，在你我以前的先知，向多國和大邦說預言，論到爭戰、災禍、瘟疫的事。
8The prophets that have been before me, and before thee from the beginning, and have prophesied concerning many countries, and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of affliction, and of famine.
9先知預言的平安，到話語成就的時候，人便知道他真是耶和華所差來的。」
9The prophet that prophesied peace when his word shall come to pass, the prophet shall be known, whom the Lord hath sent in truth.
10於是，先知 哈拿尼雅 將先知 耶利米 頸項上的軛取下來，折斷了。
10And Hananias the prophet took the chain from the neck of Jeremias the prophet, and broke it.
11哈拿尼雅 又當着眾民說：「耶和華如此說：二年之內我必照樣從列國人的頸項上折斷 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 的軛。」於是先知 耶利米 就走了。
11And Hananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying: Thus saith the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon after two full years from off the neck of all the nations.
12先知 哈拿尼雅 把先知 耶利米 頸項上的軛折斷以後，耶和華的話臨到 耶利米 說：
12And Jeremias the prophet went his way. And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Hananias the prophet had broken the chain from off the neck of Jeremias the prophet, saying:
13「你去告訴 哈拿尼雅 說，耶和華如此說：你折斷木軛，卻換了鐵軛！
13Go, and tell Hananias: Thus saith the Lord: Thou hast broken chains of wood, and thou shalt make for them chains of iron.
14因為萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝如此說：我已將鐵軛加在這些國的頸項上，使他們服事 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 ，他們總要服事他；我也把田野的走獸給了他。」
14For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and they shall serve him: moreover also I have given him the beasts of the earth.
15於是先知 耶利米 對先知 哈拿尼雅 說：「 哈拿尼雅 啊，你應當聽！耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這百姓倚靠謊言。
15And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet: Hear now, Hananias: the Lord hath not sent thee, and thou hast made this people to trust in a lie.
16所以耶和華如此說：看哪，我要叫你去世，你今年必死，因為你向耶和華說了叛逆的話。」
16Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die: for thou hast spoken against the Lord.
17這樣，先知 哈拿尼雅 當年七月間就死了。
17And Hananias the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
