1猶大 王 西底家 第九年十月， 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 率領全軍來圍困 耶路撒冷 。
1In the ninth year of Sedecias king of Juda, in the tenth month, came Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and all his army to Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
2西底家 十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。
2And in the I eleventh year of Sedecias, in the fourth month, the fifth day of the month, the city was opened.
3耶路撒冷 被攻取的時候， 巴比倫 王的首領 尼甲‧沙利薛 、 三甲‧尼波 、 撒西金 －拉撒力、 尼甲‧沙利薛 －拉墨，並 巴比倫 王其餘的一切首領都來坐在 中門 。
3And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate: Neregel, Sereser, Semegarnabu, Sarsachim, Rabsares, Neregel, Serezer, Rebmag, and all the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon.
4猶大 王 西底家 和一切兵丁看見他們，就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門出城逃跑，往 亞拉巴 逃去。
4And when Sedecias the king of Juda and all the men of war saw them, they fled: and they went forth in the night out of the city by the way of the king’s garden, and by the gate that was between the two walls, and they went; out to the way of the desert.
5迦勒底 的軍隊追趕他們，在 耶利哥 的平原追上 西底家 ，將他拿住，帶到 哈馬 地的 利比拉 、 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 那裏； 尼布甲尼撒 就審判他。
5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them: and they took Sedecias in the plain of the desert of Jericho, and when they had taken him, they brought him to Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon to Reblatha, which is in the land of Emath: and he gave judgment upon him.
6巴比倫 王在 利比拉 、 西底家 眼前殺了他的眾子，又殺了 猶大 的一切貴冑，
6And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Sedecias, in Reblatha, before his eyes: and the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Juda.
7並且剜 西底家 的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，要帶到 巴比倫 去。
7He also put out the eyes of Sedecias: and bound him with fetters, to be carried to Babylon.
8迦勒底 人用火焚燒王宮和百姓的房屋，又拆毀 耶路撒冷 的城牆。
8And the Chaldeans burnt the king’s house, and the houses of the people with fire, and they threw down the wall of Jerusalem.
9那時，護衛長 尼布撒拉旦 將城裏所剩下的百姓和投降他的逃民，以及其餘的民都擄到 巴比倫 去了。
9And Nabuzardan the general of the army carried away captive to Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and the fugitives that had gone over to him, and the rest of the people that remained.
10護衛長 尼布撒拉旦 卻將民中毫無所有的窮人留在 猶大 地，當時給他們葡萄園和田地。
10But Nabuzardan the general left some of the poor people that had nothing at all, in the land of Juda, and he gave them vineyards, and cisterns at that time.
11巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 提到 耶利米 ，囑咐護衛長 尼布撒拉旦 說：
11Now Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon had given charge to Nabuzardan the general concerning Jeremias, saying:
12「你領他去，好好地看待他，切不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就向他怎麼行。」
12Take him, and set thy eyes upon him, and do him no harm: but as he hath a mind, so do with him.
13護衛長 尼布撒拉旦 和 尼布沙斯班 －拉撒力、 尼甲‧沙利薛 －拉墨，並 巴比倫 王的一切官長，
13Therefore Nabuzardan the general sent, and Nabusezban, and Rabsares, and Neregel, and Sereser, and Rebmag, and all the nobles of the king of Babylon,
14打發人去，將 耶利米 從護衛兵院中提出來，交與 沙番 的孫子 亞希甘 的兒子 基大利 ，帶回家去。於是 耶利米 住在民中。
14Sent, and took Jeremias out of the court of the prison, and committed him to Codolias the son of Ahicam the son of Saphan, that he might go home, and dwell among the people.
15耶利米 還囚在護衛兵院中的時候，耶和華的話臨到他說：
15But the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, when he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying: Go, and tell Abdemelech the Ethiopian, saying:
16「你去告訴 古實 人 以伯‧米勒 說，萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝如此說：我說降禍不降福的話必臨到這城，到那時必在你面前成就了。
16Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Behold I will bring my words upon this city unto evil, and not unto good: and they shall be accomplished in thy sight in that day.
17耶和華說：到那日我必拯救你，你必不致交在你所怕的人手中。
17And I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord: and thou shalt not be given into the hands of the men whom thou fearest:
18我定要搭救你，你不致倒在刀下，卻要以自己的命為掠物，因你倚靠我。這是耶和華說的。」
18But delivering, I will deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword: but thy life shall be saved for thee, because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.
