1耶利米 向众百姓说完了耶和华—他们 神的一切话，就是耶和华—他们 神差遣他去所说的一切话。
1And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, wherewith the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
2何沙雅 的儿子 亚撒利雅 和 加利亚 的儿子 约哈难 ，并一切狂傲的人，就对 耶利米 说：「你说谎言！耶和华—我们的 神并没有差遣你来说：『你们不可进入 埃及 ，在那里寄居。』
2then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah: 'Thou speakest falsely; the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say: Ye shall not go into Egypt to sojourn there;
3这是 尼利亚 的儿子 巴录 挑唆你害我们，要将我们交在 迦勒底 人的手中，使我们有被杀的，有被掳到 巴比伦 去的。」
3but Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captives to Babylon.'
4于是 加利亚 的儿子 约哈难 和一切军长，并众百姓，不听从耶和华的话住在 犹大 地。
4So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, hearkened not to the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
5加利亚 的儿子 约哈难 和一切军长却将所剩下的 犹大 人，就是从被赶到各国回来在 犹大 地寄居的男人、妇女、孩童，和众公主，并护卫长 尼布撒拉旦 所留在 沙番 的孙子 亚希甘 的儿子 基大利 那里的众人，与先知 耶利米 ，以及 尼利亚 的儿子 巴录 ，
5But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all the nations whither they had been driven to sojourn in the land of Judah:

6the men, and the women, and the children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah;
7都带入 埃及 地，到了 答比匿 。这是因他们不听从耶和华的话。
7and they came into the land of Egypt; for they hearkened not to the voice of the LORD; and they came even to Tahpanhes.
8在 答比匿 ，耶和华的话临到 耶利米 说：
8Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying:
9「你在 犹大 人眼前要用手拿几块大石头，藏在砌砖的灰泥中，就是在 答比匿 法老的宫门那里，
9'Take great stones in thy hand, and hide them in the mortar in the framework, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
10对他们说：『万军之耶和华— 以色列 的 神如此说：我必召我的仆人 巴比伦 王 尼布甲尼撒 来。在所藏的石头上我要安置他的宝座；他必将光华的宝帐支搭在其上。
10and say unto them: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
11他要来攻击 埃及 地，定为死亡的，必致死亡；定为掳掠的，必被掳掠；定为刀杀的，必交刀杀。
11And he shall come, and shall smite the land of Egypt; such as are for death to death, and such as are for captivity to captivity, and such as are for the sword to the sword.
12我要在 埃及 神的庙中使火着起， 巴比伦 王要将庙宇焚烧，神像掳去；他要得 埃及 地，好像牧人披上外衣，从那里安然而去。
12And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives; and he shall fold up the land of Egypt, as a shepherd foldeth up his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
13他必打碎 埃及 地 伯·示麦 的柱像，用火焚烧 埃及 神的庙宇。』」
13He shall also break the pillars of Beth-shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire.'
