1犹大 王 西底家 第九年十月， 巴比伦 王 尼布甲尼撒 率领全军来围困 耶路撒冷 。
1in the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and besieged it;
2西底家 十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。
2in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city —
3耶路撒冷 被攻取的时候， 巴比伦 王的首领 尼甲·沙利薛 、 三甲·尼波 、 撒西金 —拉撒力、 尼甲·沙利薛 —拉墨，并 巴比伦 王其余的一切首领都来坐在 中门 。
3that all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, even Nergal-sarezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim Rab-saris, Nergal-sarezer Rab-mag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon.
4犹大 王 西底家 和一切兵丁看见他们，就在夜间从靠近王园两城中间的门出城逃跑，往 亚拉巴 逃去。
4And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls; and he went out the way of the Arabah.
5迦勒底 的军队追赶他们，在 耶利哥 的平原追上 西底家 ，将他拿住，带到 哈马 地的 利比拉 、 巴比伦 王 尼布甲尼撒 那里； 尼布甲尼撒 就审判他。
5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he gave judgment upon him.
6巴比伦 王在 利比拉 、 西底家 眼前杀了他的众子，又杀了 犹大 的一切贵胄，
6Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes; also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.
7并且剜 西底家 的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，要带到 巴比伦 去。
7Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
8迦勒底 人用火焚烧王宫和百姓的房屋，又拆毁 耶路撒冷 的城墙。
8And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the house of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.
9那时，护卫长 尼布撒拉旦 将城里所剩下的百姓和投降他的逃民，以及其余的民都掳到 巴比伦 去了。
9Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, the deserters also, that fell away to him, with the rest of the people that remained.
10护卫长 尼布撒拉旦 却将民中毫无所有的穷人留在 犹大 地，当时给他们葡萄园和田地。
10But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, that had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields in that day.
11巴比伦 王 尼布甲尼撒 提到 耶利米 ，嘱咐护卫长 尼布撒拉旦 说：
11Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying:
12「你领他去，好好地看待他，切不可害他；他对你怎么说，你就向他怎么行。」
12'Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee.'
13护卫长 尼布撒拉旦 和 尼布沙斯班 —拉撒力、 尼甲·沙利薛 —拉墨，并 巴比伦 王的一切官长，
13So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushazban Rab-saris, and Nergal-sarezer Rab-mag, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon;
14打发人去，将 耶利米 从护卫兵院中提出来，交与 沙番 的孙子 亚希甘 的儿子 基大利 ，带回家去。于是 耶利米 住在民中。
14they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home; so he dwelt among the people.
15耶利米 还囚在护卫兵院中的时候，耶和华的话临到他说：
15Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying:
16「你去告诉 古实 人 以伯·米勒 说，万军之耶和华— 以色列 的 神如此说：我说降祸不降福的话必临到这城，到那时必在你面前成就了。
16'Go, and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring My words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before thee in that day.
17耶和华说：到那日我必拯救你，你必不致交在你所怕的人手中。
17But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD; and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
18我定要搭救你，你不致倒在刀下，却要以自己的命为掠物，因你倚靠我。这是耶和华说的。」
18For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee; because thou hast put thy trust in Me, saith the LORD.'
