Psalms 132

Berean Standard Bible
Baibala Hemolele (Hawaiian Bible, 1868 revision)
1O LORD, remember on behalf of David all the hardships he endured,
1E IEHOVA, e hoomanao mai oe ia Davida, A me na pilikia ona a pau:
2how he swore an oath to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
2I ka mea ana i hoohiki ai ia Iehova, Hoohiki no oia i ka Mea ikaika o Iakoba;
3“I will not enter my house or get into my bed,
3Aole loa au e komo iloko o ka hale lewa o ko'u hale, Aole hoi au i ea maluna o ko'u wahi moe;
4I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
4Aole au e haawi i ka hiamoe ma ko'u mau maka, Aole hoi i ka maluhiluhi na ko'u mau lihilihi,
5until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
5A loaa ia'u, he wahi no Iehova, A me kahi e noho ai no ka Mea mana o Iakoha.
6We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
6Aia hoi, ua lohe no kakou ia ma Eperata; Ua loaa ia kakou ia ma Papuululaau.
7Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.
7E komo no kakou iloko o kona mau wahi e noho ai; A e moe hoomana kakou ma kona keehana wawae.
8Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.
8E ku mai oe, e Iehova, iloko o kou wahi e maha'i; O oe, a me ka pahu o kou nani.
9May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your saints shout for joy.
9A kahikoia kou poe kahuna i ka pono, A e hauoli hoi kau poe haipule.
10For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.
10No Davida, no kau kauwa, Mai hoohuli aku i ka maka o kou mea i poniia.
11The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise He will not revoke: “One of your descendants I will place on your throne.
11Hoohiki mai la o Iehova ia Davida ma ka oiaio, Aole loa oia i huli, mai ia mea aku, O ka hua a kou kino ka'u e hoonoho ai maluna o kou nohoalii.
12If your sons keep My covenant and the testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever and ever.”
12Ina e malama kau poe keiki i ko'u berita, A me na kanawai a'u e ao aku ai ia lakou, Alaila, o ka lakou keiki o na manawa a pau, E noho no lakou ma kou noho alii.
13For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home:
13No ka mea, ua wae mai o Iehova ia Ziona, A ua makemake oia ia, i wahi noho ai nona,
14“This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired this home.
14Eia ko'u wahi e hoomaha'i, a hiki i ka manawa pau ole; Maanei no wau e noho ai, no ka mea, Ua makemake no au ia.
15I will bless her with abundant provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
15Oiaio no e hoomaikai no wau i kana ai; E hoomaona aku au i kona poe nele i ka berena.
16I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will sing out in joy.
16E kahiko no wau i kona poe kahuna i ka hoola, A e hauoli loa hoi kona poe haipule.
17There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.
17Malaila no wau e hookupu ai i ka pepeiaohao o Davida; Ua hoomakaukau no wau i lamaku no ko'u mea i poniia.
18I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown upon him will gleam.”
18E hooaahu au i kona poe enemi i ka hilahila; Maluna ona e pua ai kona leialii.
