1Сину чоловічий, пророкуй про гори Ізрайлеві і скажи: Ви, гори Ізрайлеві! слухайте слово Господнє.
1And thou son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say: Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:
2Так говорить Господь Бог: Позаяк ворог мовляє про вас: Ага! і вічні гори допались нам у власність!
2Thus saith the Lord God: Because the enemy hath said of you: Aha, the everlasting heights are given to us for an inheritance.
3То ти пророкуй і скажи: Так говорить Господь Бог: За те, притьма за те, що вас пустошено й з усїх боків жерто, щоб ви стали власностю других народів, і що ви попали на язики злющим людям, —
3Therefore prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord God: Because you have been desolate, and trodden under foot on every side, and made an inheritance to the rest of the nations, and are become the subject of the talk, and the reproach of the people:
4За те ви, гори Ізрайлеві, почуйте слово Господнє; так бо говорить Господь Бог до гір і до горбів і до потоків — і долин, до опустїлих розвалищ і до покинутих городів, що стались лупом й посьміхом усїм сусїдним народам;
4Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the brooks, and to the valleys, and to desolate places, and ruinous walls, and to the cities that are forsaken, that are spoiled, and derided by the rest of the nations round about.
5За те, так говорить Господь Бог: В огнї досади моєї виповів я слово проти инших народів і проти всієї Ідумеї, що призначили землю мою собі в державу, та, радїючи усїм серцем і з погордою в душі обіцяли її собі в здобичу.
5Therefore thus saith the Lord God: In the fire of my zeal I have spoken of the rest of the nations, and of all Edom, who have taken my land to themselves, for an inheritance with joy, and with all the heart, and with the mind: and have cast it out to lay it waste.
6Тим же то пророкуй про землю Ізрайлеву й говори до гір і горбів, до потоків і до долин: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось я в гнїві й в досадї моїй виповів се, за те, що ви терпите наругу від народів.
6Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ridges, and to the valleys: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I have spoken in my zeal, and in my indignation, because you have borne the shame of the Gentiles.
7Тим же то так говорить Господь Бог: Здіймаю руку й присягаюсь, що народи навкруги вас понесуть сором свій.
7Therefore thus saith the Lord God: I have lifted up my hand, that the Gentiles who are round about you, shall themselves bear their shame.
8Ви ж, гори Ізрайлеві, ви розпустите гіллє ваше й давати мете плоди ваші народові мойму Ізраїлеві; він бо незабаром вернеться (з неволї).
8But as for you, O mountains of Israel, shoot ye forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel: for they are at hand to come.
9Ось бо я прихилюсь до вас і будуть вас знов порати й обсївати.
9For lo I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be ploughed and sown.
10І оселю на вас много людей, увесь дом Ізрайлїв, і залюднені будуть городи, й забудовані наново розвалища.
10And I will multiply men upon you, and all the house of Israel: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruinous places shall be repaired.
11І намножу в вас людей і скотини; вони будуть плодитись і множитись, і заселю вас, як се було за попередущих ваших часів, і посилати му вам ще більші добра, нїж у ваші давні часи, й знати мете, що я — Господь.
11And I will make you abound with men and with beasts: and they shall be multiplied, and increased: and I will settle you as from the beginning, and will give you greater gifts, than you had from the beginning: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
12І приведу на вас людей, народ мій, Ізраїля, і будуть вони тобою, ти земле, володїти; ти будеш їх наслїддєм і не будеш уже бездїтною.
12And I will bring men upon you, my people Israel, and they shall possess thee for their inheritance: and thou shalt be their inheritance, and shalt no more henceforth be without them.
13Так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що про вас говорять: Ти земля така, що пожерає людей, бо дозволяєш нарід твій бездїтним робити, —
13Thus saith the Lord God: Because they say of you: Thou art a devourer of men, and one that suffocatest thy nation:
14За те вже не будеш поїдати людей і не будеш робити народу твого бездїтним, говорить Господь Бог.
14Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, nor destroy thy nation any more, saith the Lord God:
15І не будеш уже чувати наруги від народів, та й не будеш посьміхом у людей, і не робити меш уже твого люду бездїтками, говорить Господь Бог.
15Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the nations any more, nor shalt thou bear the reproach of the people, nor lose thy nation any more, saith the Lord God.
16І надійшло до мене слово Господнє:
16And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
17Сину чоловічий! як жив іще Ізраїль у своїй землї, то поганив він її своїми обичаями й своїми вчинками; мов жіноча нечисть під час кровотечі, були поступки їх передо мною.
17Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it with their ways, and with their doings: their way was before me like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.
18І вилив я досаду мою на їх за кров, що проливали в сїй землї, та за те, що поганили її своїми ідолами.
18And I poured out my indignation upon them for the blood which they had shed upon the land, and with their idols they defiled it.
19І порозсївав я їх між народи, й порозвівав їх по чужих землях; я судив їх після поступків та після вчинків їх.
19And I scattered them among the nations, and they are dispersed through the countries: I have judged them according to their ways, and their devices.
20І поприходили вони до невірних, куди поприходили, й знеславили моє імя сьвяте, тим що про їх мовляли: Се ж люд Господень, та й мусїв ійти геть із землї його!
20And when they entered among the nations whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when it was said of them: This is the people of the Lord, and they are come forth out of his land.
21І зжалився я над сьвятим імям моїм, що його дом Ізрайлїв знеславив між народами, куди прийшов.
21And I have regarded my own holy name, which the house of Israel hath profaned among the nations to which they went in.
22Тим же то скажи домові Ізрайлевому: Так говорить Господь Бог: Не задля вас я се вчиню, доме Ізраїля, а задля сьвятого імені мого, що ви знеславили перед тими народами, куди поприходили.
22Therefore thou shalt say to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: It is not for your sake that I will do this, O house of Israel, but for my holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations whither you went.
23І осьвячу велике імя моє, знеславлене між народами, що посеред них ви знеславили його, й зрозуміють народи, що я — Господь, говорить Господь Бог, як явлю себе сьвятим перед очима в них.
23And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the Gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them: that the Gentiles may know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord of hosts, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24І заберу вас ізміж народів, позбиравши вас із усїх земель, і переведу вас у вашу рідну країну.
24For I will take you from among the Gentiles, and will gather you together out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25І вилию на вас чисту воду, й станете чисті від усїх ваших нечистот, і від усїх ваших ідолів очищу вас.
25And I will pour upon you clean water, and you shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.
26І вложу вам нове серце й дам нового духа, й викину камяне серце з вашого тїла, а дам вам серце мясне.
26And I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.
27І вдихну в нутро ваше духа мого, й учиню, що будете ходити в заповідях моїх, та хоронити й виповняти постанови мої.
27And I will put my spirit in the midst of you: and I will cause you to walk in my commandments, and to keep my judgments, and do them.
28І жити мете в землї, що я надїлив отцям вашим, і будете моїм народом, а я буду вашим Богом.
28And you shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29І очищу вас од усїх нечистот ваших, і викличу вроджай і намножу його, й не дозволю, щоб терпіли голоднечу.
29And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for corn, and will multiply it, and will lay no famine upon you.
30І намножу вам плоду деревного й уроджаю на полях, щоб вам уже не доводилось приймати наруги від народів ізза голоднечі.
30And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the held, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations.
31Тодї спогадаєте про ваші ледачі дороги та про ваші вчинки недобрі, й гидувати мете самі собою за ваші провини й за гидоти ваші.
31And you shall remember your wicked ways, and your doings that were not good: and your iniquities, and your wicked deeds shall displease you.
32Та не задля вас удїю се, говорить Господь Бог, — знайте се! Соромтесь і червонїйте за ваші поступки, доме Ізраїля!
32It is not for your sakes that I will do this, saith the Lord God, be it known to you: be confounded, and ashamed at your own ways, O house of Israel.
33Так говорить Господь Бог: Того часу, як очищу вас од усїх ваших провин, і позалюднюю городи, й знов будуть позабудовувані руйновища,
33Thus saith the Lord God: In the day that I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities, and shall cause the cities to be inhabited, and shall repair the ruinous places,
34А спустошену землю будуть знов порати, тую землю, що лежала опустїлою перед очима в кожного, хто мимо проходив, —
34And the desolate land shall be tilled, which before was waste in the sight of all that passed by,
35Тодї будуть мовляти: Ось, та опустїла земля зробилась, наче сад Едемський, а ті порозвалювані, порозбивані, обезлюдїлі міста — тепер утверджені, й залюднені!
35They shall say: This land that was untilled is become as a garden of pleasure: and the cities that were abandoned, and desolate, and destroyed, are peopled and fenced.
36І зрозуміють народи в округи вас, що я, Господь, повалене знов будую, а попустошене знов засаджую. Я, Господь, сказав — і справдив.
36And the nations, that shall be left round about you, shall know that I the Lord have built up what was destroyed, and planted what was desolate, that I the Lord have spoken and done it.
37Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось, і в тому ще покажу ласку мою домові Ізрайлевому: я намножу його людьми, як отару овечу.
37Thus saith the Lord God: Moreover in this shall the house of Israel find me, that I will do it for them: I will multiply them as a flock of men,
38Як без лїку буває жертовних овець у Ерусалимі під час великих сьвят, оттак переповнені будуть людьми міста, передше безлюдні, і спізнають, що я — Господь.
38As a holy dock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts: so shall the waste cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
