1Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.
2Ko e hā ʻe pehē ai ʻe he hiteni, “Ko e fē honau ʻOtua?”
2Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?”
3Ka ko hotau ʻOtua ʻoku ʻi he ngaahi langi: kuo ne fai ʻaia kuo ne finangalo ki ai.
3But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
4Ko honau ngaahi tamapua ko e siliva mo e koula, ko e ngāue ʻae nima ʻoe tangata.
4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
5ʻOku ai honau ngutu, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau lea: ʻoku nau maʻu ʻae mata, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau mamata:
5They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.
6ʻOku nau telinga, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ongoʻi: ʻoku ai honau ihu, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau nanamu:
6They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell.
7ʻOku nau maʻu ʻae nima, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ala ki ha meʻa: ʻoku ai honau vaʻe, ka ʻoku ʻikai tenau ʻaʻeva: pea ʻoku ʻikai tenau lea ʻaki honau kia.
7They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
8Ko kinautolu ʻoku ngaohi ʻakinautolu ʻoku nau tatau mo kinautolu: pea ʻoku pehē pe ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku falala ki ai.
8Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
9ʻE ʻIsileli, ke ke falala kia Sihova ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
9Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
10ʻE fale ʻo ʻElone, ke ke falala kia Sihova: ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
10House of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
11ʻAkimoutolu ʻoku manavahē kia Sihova, mou falala kia Sihova: ko honau tokoni ia mo honau fakaū.
11You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
12Kuo manatuʻi ʻe Sihova ʻakitautolu: te ne tāpuaki ʻakitautolu; te ne tāpuaki ʻae fale ʻo ʻIsileli; te ne tāpuaki ʻae fale ʻo ʻElone.
12The LORD remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
13Te ne tāpuaki ʻakinautolu ʻoku nau manavahē kia Sihova, ʻae iiki mo e lalahi.
13He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great.
14ʻE fakatokolahi ʻakimoutolu ʻe Sihova, pea te mou tupu pe, ʻakimoutolu mo hoʻomou fānau.
14May the LORD increase you more and more, you and your children.
15ʻOku mou monūʻia ʻia Sihova, ʻaia naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae langi mo māmani.
15Blessed are you by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
16ʻOku ʻo Sihova ʻae langi, ʻio, ko e ngaahi langi: pea kuo ne foaki ʻa māmani ki he fānau ʻae tangata.
16The heavens are the LORD’s heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men.
17ʻOku ʻikai fakamālō kia Sihova ʻae mate, pe ha taha ʻoku ʻalu hifo ki he fakalongo pē.
17The dead don’t praise the LORD, nor any who go down into silence,
18Ka te tau fakafetaʻi kia Sihova mei he ʻaho ni ʻo taʻengata. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
18but we will bless the LORD, from this time forward and forever more. Praise the LORD!
