1ในปีที่สิบแปดแห่งรัชกาลกษัตริย์เยโรโบอัมบุตรเนบัท อาบียัมขึ้นครองราชย์เหนือยูดาห์
1Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat began Abijam to reign over Judah.
2พระองค์ครองราชย์ที่เยรูซาเล็มสามปี มารดาของพระองค์ชื่อมาอาคาห์บุตรสาวอาบีชาโลม
2Three years reigned he in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
3พระองค์ดำเนินตามบาปทุกอย่างที่บิดาทำไว้ก่อนหน้า ใจพระองค์ไม่ซื่อตรงต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์เหมือนใจของดาวิดบรรพบุรุษ
3And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not whole with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
4ถึงกระนั้น เพื่อเห็นแก่ดาวิด พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ยังประทานดวงประทีปแก่พระองค์ในเยรูซาเล็ม โดยตั้งบุตรขึ้นสืบราชย์และทำให้เยรูซาเล็มมั่นคง
4Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem;
5เพราะดาวิดทำสิ่งถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรพระยาห์เวห์ ตลอดชีวิตท่านไม่หันจากสิ่งใดที่พระยาห์เวห์สั่ง เว้นแต่เรื่องอูรีอาห์ชาวฮิตไทต์
5because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that He commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
6เรโหโบอัมกับเยโรโบอัมทำสงครามกันตลอดชีวิตของเรโหโบอัม
6Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
7เรื่องอื่น ๆ ของอาบียัมและทุกสิ่งที่พระองค์ทำ มีเขียนไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารกษัตริย์ยูดาห์ไม่ใช่หรือ? อาบียัมกับเยโรโบอัมทำสงครามกัน
7And the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
8อาบียัมล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษและถูกฝังในนครดาวิด อาสาบุตรของพระองค์ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
8And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David; and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
9ในปีที่ยี่สิบแห่งรัชกาลเยโรโบอัม กษัตริย์อิสราเอล อาสาขึ้นครองราชย์เหนือยูดาห์
9And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Asa to reign over Judah.
10พระองค์ครองราชย์ที่เยรูซาเล็มสี่สิบเอ็ดปี มารดาของพระองค์ชื่อมาอาคาห์บุตรสาวอาบีชาโลม
10And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
11อาสาทำสิ่งถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรพระยาห์เวห์เหมือนดาวิดบรรพบุรุษ
11And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
12พระองค์ขับไล่ชายค้าประเวณีออกจากแผ่นดิน และกำจัดรูปเคารพทั้งหมดที่บรรพบุรุษทำไว้
12And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
13พระองค์ยังปลดมาอาคาห์มารดาออกจากตำแหน่งราชินี เพราะนางทำรูปน่ารังเกียจสำหรับอาเชราห์ อาสาโค่นรูปนั้นลงแล้วเผาที่ลำธารขิดโรน
13And also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
14แต่สถานบูชาบนที่สูงยังคงตั้งอยู่ ถึงอย่างนั้นใจอาสาก็ซื่อตรงต่อพระยาห์เวห์ตลอดชีวิต
14But the high places were not taken away; nevertheless the heart of Asa was whole with the LORD all his days.
15พระองค์นำเงิน ทอง และเครื่องใช้ที่บิดาถวายไว้กับที่พระองค์ถวายเองเข้าไปในพระวิหารพระยาห์เวห์
15And he brought into the house of the LORD the things that his father had hallowed, and the things that himself had hallowed, silver, and gold, and vessels.
16อาสากับบาอาชา กษัตริย์อิสราเอลทำสงครามกันตลอดชีวิตของทั้งสอง
16And there was war between Asa and Baasa king of Israel all their days.
17บาอาชา กษัตริย์อิสราเอลยกทัพโจมตียูดาห์ และสร้างรามาห์เพื่อไม่ให้ใครเดินทางออกจากหรือเข้าไปหาอาสา กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ได้
17And Baasa king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
18อาสานำเงินและทองทั้งหมดที่เหลือในคลังพระวิหารพระยาห์เวห์และคลังวัง ส่งผ่านข้ารับใช้ของพระองค์ไปให้เบนฮาดัดบุตรทาบริมโมน ผู้เป็นบุตรเฮซิโอน กษัตริย์ซีเรียที่ประทับในดามัสกัส พร้อมสารว่า
18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Aram, that dwelt at Damascus, saying:
19“ขอให้มีสัญญาไมตรีระหว่างข้ากับท่านเหมือนที่เคยมีระหว่างบิดาของเราทั้งสอง ข้าส่งเงินและทองมาเป็นของกำนัล ขอท่านยกเลิกสัญญาไมตรีกับบาอาชา กษัตริย์อิสราเอล เพื่อเขาจะถอยจากข้า”
19'There is a league between me and thee, between my father and thy father; behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasa king of Israel, that he may depart from me.'
20เบนฮาดัดยอมทำตามกษัตริย์อาสา ส่งแม่ทัพไปโจมตีเมืองต่าง ๆ ของอิสราเอล โจมตีอีโยน ดาน อาเบลเบธมาอาคาห์ คินเนโรททั้งหมด และดินแดนนัฟทาลีทั้งหมด
20And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
21เมื่อบาอาชาได้ข่าวก็หยุดสร้างรามาห์และไปอยู่ที่ทีรซาห์
21And it came to pass, when Baasa heard thereof, that he left off building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
22กษัตริย์อาสาประกาศให้คนทั้งยูดาห์ออกไป ไม่มีใครได้รับยกเว้น พวกเขาขนหินและไม้ที่บาอาชาใช้สร้างรามาห์ออกไป แล้วกษัตริย์อาสานำไปสร้างเกบาแห่งเบนยามินและมิสปาห์
22Then king Asa made a proclamation unto all Judah; none was exempted; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasa had builded; and king Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
24อาสาล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษและถูกฝังกับบรรพบุรุษในนครของดาวิดผู้เป็นบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ เยโฮชาฟัทบุตรของพระองค์ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
24And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
25นาดับบุตรเยโรโบอัมขึ้นครองราชย์เหนืออิสราเอลในปีที่สองแห่งรัชกาลอาสา กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ และครองราชย์สองปี
25And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.
26เขาทำสิ่งชั่วในสายพระเนตรพระยาห์เวห์ ดำเนินตามทางและบาปของบิดาซึ่งชักนำอิสราเอลให้ทำบาป
26And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
27บาอาชาบุตรอาหิยาห์จากวงศ์วานอิสสาคาร์วางแผนต่อต้านและจู่โจมนาดับที่กิบเบโธนของชาวฟีลิสเตีย ขณะนาดับกับชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมดกำลังล้อมเมืองนั้น
27And Baasa the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasa smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.
28บาอาชาฆ่านาดับในปีที่สามแห่งรัชกาลอาสา กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ และขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasa slay him, and reigned in his stead.
29พอขึ้นครองราชย์ บาอาชาก็ฆ่าคนทั้งราชวงศ์เยโรโบอัม ไม่เหลือผู้มีลมหายใจแม้แต่คนเดียวจนกำจัดหมด ตามพระดำรัสของพระยาห์เวห์ที่ตรัสผ่านอาหิยาห์ชาวชิโลห์ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์
29And it came to pass that, as soon as he was king, he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him; according unto the saying of the LORD, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Ahijah the Shilonite;
30เพราะบาปที่เยโรโบอัมทำและชักนำอิสราเอลให้ทำ ซึ่งยั่วให้พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลทรงกริ้ว
30for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and wherewith he made Israel to sin; because of his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD, the God of Israel.
31เรื่องอื่น ๆ ของนาดับและทุกสิ่งที่เขาทำ มีเขียนไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารกษัตริย์อิสราเอลไม่ใช่หรือ?
31Now the rest of the acts of Nadab and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
32อาสากับบาอาชา กษัตริย์อิสราเอลทำสงครามกันตลอดชีวิตของทั้งสอง
32And there was war between Asa and Baasa king of Israel all their days.
33ในปีที่สามแห่งรัชกาลอาสา กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ บาอาชาบุตรอาหิยาห์ขึ้นครองราชย์ที่ทีรซาห์เหนืออิสราเอลทั้งหมด เป็นเวลายี่สิบสี่ปี
33In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasa the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, and reigned twenty and four years.
34เขาทำสิ่งชั่วในสายพระเนตรพระยาห์เวห์ ดำเนินตามทางของเยโรโบอัมและตามบาปที่เยโรโบอัมใช้ชักนำอิสราเอลให้ทำ
34And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
