Men Korint I 11
Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1KOMAIL idauen ia do duen I kin idauen Krijtuj.
1Be ye followers of me, as I also am of Christ.
2I kin kapinaki komail omail tamataman ia ni meakan karoj, o dadaurata pun kan, duen i kakalikidi on komail er.
2Now I praise you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me: and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you.
3A i men, komail en ajadar, me Krijtuj tapwin ol akan, a ol me tapwin li, a Kot me tapwin Krijtuj.
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4A ma amen amen ren ol akan wia kapakap de kokop ap lijoropedi, a kin kajuedeki pein mon a.
4Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head.
5A ma li amen wia kapakap de kokop, ap jota lijoropedi, nan I kin kajuedeki pein mon a, pwe a rajon me pit en mon a jeijei jan.
5But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered, disgraceth her head: for it is all one as if she were shaven.
6Pwe ma li amen jota lijoropedi, en koteda, a ma a kanamenok li en kotedar o kotokot, i en pwaindi mon a.
6For if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn. But if it be a shame to a woman to be shorn or made bald, let her cover her head.
7A ol o ender lijoropedi, pwe i me kajanjal o linan en Kot, a li o me linan en ol o.
7The man indeed ought not to cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.
8Pwe ol jo tapi jan li, a li jan ol o.
8For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man.
9Pwe ol jota wiaui on li, a li wiaui on ol o.
9For the man was not created for the woman, but the woman for the man.
10I me li o en kida manaman eu pon mon a pweki tounlan kan,
10Therefore ought the woman to have a power over her head, because of the angels.
11Ari jo, li amen jota kak mia ma jota ol; o ol amen jota kak mia, ma jota li, a mepukat ren Kaun o.
11But yet neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12Pwe duen li o a tapi jan ol, iduen ol o wiaui kida li, a karoj wiauier ren Kot.
12For as the woman is of the man, so also is the man by the woman: but all things of God.
13Komail en pein kajauiada, ma a janjal mau, ma li amen kapakap on Kot, ap jo lijoropedi.
13You yourselves judge: doth it become a woman, to pray unto God uncovered?
14De pein komail aja, me kanamenok pan ol, ma a pwili peipei.
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that a man indeed, if he nourish his hair, it is a shame unto him?
15A linan en li a pwilipeipei, pwe pid en mon a en ko on i, en pwaindi i.
15But if a woman nourish her hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.
16A ma amen re omail men akamai, a en aja, me kit jota kin wia due, momodijou en Kot akan pil jo.
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the church of God.
17A ni ai kujonededa me pukat i jota kin kapina omail pokon pena, me jota kin ka maui a kajuedeki komail,
17Now this I ordain: not praising you, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18Pwe ni omail pokon pena nan momodijou, i ronadar, me komail kin liak toror pajan, o i mur kamelele.
18For first of all I hear that when you come together in the church, there are schisms among you; and in part I believe it.
19Pwe komail en liak toror pajan, pwe me pun kan en janjal kida re omail.
19For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.
20Komail lao pokon pena waja kij, kaidin i jak kamadip en Kaun o.
20When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord’s supper.
21Pwe ni kamadip toun kapar kin amatan maj, a amen men manadar, a amen jokolar.
21For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
22Jota im omail, waja en mana o nim? De komail kin mamaleki momodijou en Kot o kanamenok ir ala, me jota ar tunol? Da me i en inda? I en kapin komail? Ni mepukat i jota pan kapina.
22What, have you not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God; and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? Do I praise you? In this I praise you not.
23Pwe i aleer jan ren Kaun o, me i pwiliki on komail er, me Kaun Iejuj pon ota en a panala, a limada prot,
23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.
24Murin a laolaoki, kamauieda, pilitiki pajan, majani: Ale tunole war ai met et, me pilitiki on komail, en wia, pwen katakataman kin ia.
24And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me.
25A murin jak, a pil kotin limada dal majani: Dal wet iei inau kap, me wiaui kidar nt’ ai. Pan pak en omail nima jan, komail wiaki men kataman kin ia.
25In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.
26Pwe pan pak en omail kan prot wet o nima jan dal wet, Komail kajanjaleda en Kaun a matala, lao a kotido.
26For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come.
27Ari me kan prot wet o nim jan dal en Kaun o ap jo war on iei me dip ion war o ntan Kaun o.
27Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.
28Amen amen en kajauiada pein i, ap kan jan prot o nima jan dal o.
28But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice.
29Pwe me kan o nim jowar, kin kan o nim kadeik on pein i, pwe a jota kajampwaleki war o.
29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
30Nan i me toto nan pun omail me luetalar o jomaudar, o me toto mairedier.
30Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.
31Pwe ma kitail kajauiada pein kitail, kitail jota pan pakadeikada.
31But if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32A ma kitail pan pakadeikada, kitail pan kalokolok ren Kaun o, pwe kitail de ian men liki lokidokila.
32But whilst we are judged, we are chastised by the Lord, that we be not condemned with this world.
33Ari ri ai ol akan, komail lao pokon pena pwen jak, en papajan pena amen amen.
33Wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34A ma amen men manadar, i en mana maj nan im a; pwe komail de pokon penan kadeik o. A me lua kan i pan kapunala ni ai pwara won.
34If any man be hungry, let him eat at home; that you come not together unto judgment. And the rest I will set in order, when I come.
