1And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,
1當 暗拉非 作 示拿 王， 亞略 作 以拉撒 王， 基大老瑪 作 以攔 王， 提達 作 戈印 王的時候，
2that they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela — the same is Zoar.
2他們都攻打 所多瑪 王 比拉 、 蛾摩拉 王 比沙 、 押瑪 王 示納 、 洗扁 王 善以別 ，和 比拉 王； 比拉 就是 瑣珥 。
3All these came as allies unto the vale of Siddim — the same is the Salt Sea.
3這五王都在 西訂谷 會合； 西訂谷 就是 鹽海 。
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
4他們已經事奉 基大老瑪 十二年，到十三年就背叛了。
5And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,
5十四年， 基大老瑪 和同盟的王都來在 亞特律‧加寧 ，殺敗了 利乏音 人，在 哈麥 殺敗了 蘇西 人，在 沙微‧基列亭 殺敗了 以米 人，
6and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.
6在 何利 人的 西珥山 殺敗了 何利 人，一直殺到靠近曠野的 伊勒‧巴蘭 。
7And they turned back, and came to En-mishpat — the same is Kadesh — and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar.
7他們回到 安‧密巴 ，就是 加低斯 ，殺敗了 亞瑪力 全地的人，以及住在 哈洗遜‧他瑪 的 亞摩利 人。
8And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela — the same is Zoar; and they set the battle in array against them in the vale of Siddim;
8於是 所多瑪 王、 蛾摩拉 王、 押瑪 王、 洗扁 王，和 比拉 王（ 比拉 就是 瑣珥 ）都出來，在 西訂谷 擺陣，與他們交戰，
9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
9就是與 以攔 王 基大老瑪 、 戈印 王 提達 、 示拿 王 暗拉非 、 以拉撒 王 亞略 交戰；乃是四王與五王交戰。
10Now the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and they that remained fled to the mountain.
10西訂谷 有許多石漆坑。 所多瑪 王和 蛾摩拉 王逃跑，有掉在坑裏的，其餘的人都往山上逃跑。
11And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
11四王就把 所多瑪 和 蛾摩拉 所有的財物，並一切的糧食都擄掠去了；
12And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
12又把 亞伯蘭 的姪兒 羅得 和 羅得 的財物擄掠去了。當時 羅得 正住在 所多瑪 。
13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew — now he dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and these were confederate with Abram.
13有一個逃出來的人告訴 希伯來 人 亞伯蘭 ； 亞伯蘭 正住在 亞摩利 人 幔利 的橡樹那裏。 幔利 和 以實各 並 亞乃 都是弟兄，曾與 亞伯蘭 聯盟。
14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
14亞伯蘭 聽見他姪兒被擄去，就率領他家裏生養的精練壯丁三百一十八人，直追到 但 ，
15And he divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
15便在夜間，自己同僕人分隊殺敗敵人，又追到 大馬士革 左邊的 何把 ，
16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
16將被擄掠的一切財物奪回來，連他姪兒 羅得 和他的財物，以及婦女、人民也都奪回來。
17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, at the vale of Shaveh — the same is the King's Vale.
17亞伯蘭 殺敗 基大老瑪 和與他同盟的王回來的時候， 所多瑪 王出來，在 沙微谷 迎接他； 沙微谷 就是 王谷 。
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine; and he was priest of God the Most High.
18又有 撒冷 王 麥基洗德 帶着餅和酒出來迎接；他是至高上帝的祭司。
19And he blessed him, and said: 'Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth;
19他為 亞伯蘭 祝福，說：「願天地的主、至高的上帝賜福與 亞伯蘭 ！
20and blessed be God the Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.' And he gave him a tenth of all.
20至高的上帝把敵人交在你手裏，是應當稱頌的！」 亞伯蘭 就把所得的拿出十分之一來，給 麥基洗德 。
21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram: 'Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.'
21所多瑪 王對 亞伯蘭 說：「你把人口給我，財物你自己拿去吧！」
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom: 'I have lifted up my hand unto the LORD, God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth,
22亞伯蘭 對 所多瑪 王說：「我已經向天地的主－至高的上帝耶和華起誓：
23that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor aught that is thine, lest thou shouldest say: I have made Abram rich;
23凡是你的東西，就是一根線、一根鞋帶，我都不拿，免得你說：『我使 亞伯蘭 富足！』
24save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, let them take their portion.'
24只有僕人所吃的，並與我同行的 亞乃 、 以實各 、 幔利 所應得的分，可以任憑他們拿去。」
