1And as for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to be a supporter and a stronghold unto him.
1“ส่วนข้าพเจ้า ในปีแรกของรัชกาลดาริอัสชาวมีเดีย ได้ลุกขึ้นเพื่อสนับสนุนและเสริมกำลังให้เขา
2And now will I declare unto thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all; and when he is waxed strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece.
2“บัดนี้ ข้าพเจ้าจะบอกความจริงให้ท่านรู้ จะมีกษัตริย์เกิดขึ้นอีกสามองค์ในเปอร์เซีย องค์ที่สี่จะมั่งคั่งกว่าองค์อื่นๆ มาก เมื่อเข้มแข็งขึ้นด้วยความมั่งคั่ง เขาจะปลุกระดมทุกฝ่ายให้ต่อต้านอาณาจักรกรีซ
3And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
3จะมีกษัตริย์ผู้ทรงอำนาจองค์หนึ่งเกิดขึ้น ปกครองด้วยอำนาจยิ่งใหญ่ และทำตามใจตน
4And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion wherewith he ruled; for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
4เมื่อเขาขึ้นสู่อำนาจ อาณาจักรของเขาจะแตกสลาย และถูกแบ่งไปตามลมทั้งสี่ทิศของท้องฟ้า แต่จะไม่ตกแก่ลูกหลานของเขา และจะไม่มีอำนาจปกครองอย่างที่เขาเคยมี อาณาจักรของเขาจะถูกถอนราก และตกแก่คนอื่นนอกเหนือจากคนเหล่านี้
5And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
5“กษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้จะเข้มแข็ง แต่ผู้ปกครองคนหนึ่งในสังกัดเขาจะเข้มแข็งกว่า และมีอำนาจปกครองอย่างยิ่งใหญ่
6And at the end of years they shall join themselves together; and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement; but she shall not retain the strength of her arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm; but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begot her, and he that obtained her in those times.
6เมื่อหลายปีผ่านไป พวกเขาจะร่วมมือกัน ธิดาของกษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้จะมาหากษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือเพื่อทำข้อตกลง แต่นางจะรักษากำลังอำนาจของตนไว้ไม่ได้ เขาก็จะยืนหยัดอยู่ไม่ได้ ทั้งกำลังอำนาจของเขาก็เช่นกัน นางจะถูกทอดทิ้ง พร้อมกับผู้ที่พานางมา บิดาของนาง และผู้ที่สนับสนุนนางในเวลานั้น
7But one of the shoots of her roots shall stand up in his place, and shall come unto the army, and shall enter into the stronghold of the king of the north, and shall deal with them, and shall prevail;
7“แต่ผู้หนึ่งจากตระกูลของนางจะขึ้นแทนเขา จะเข้ามายังกองทัพ บุกเข้าไปในป้อมของกษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือ ต่อสู้กับพวกเขา และมีชัย
8and also their gods, with their molten images, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold, shall he bring into captivity into Egypt; and he shall desist some years from the king of the north.
8เขาจะยึดเทพเจ้าของพวกเขา พร้อมรูปหล่อและภาชนะเงินทองอันงดงาม นำไปยังอียิปต์ และจะเว้นการต่อสู้กับกษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนืออยู่หลายปี
9And he shall come into the kingdom of the king of the south, but he shall return into his own land.
9เขาจะเข้ามาในอาณาจักรของกษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้ แต่จะกลับไปยังแผ่นดินของตน
10And his sons shall stir themselves up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces, and he shall come on, and overflow, as he passes through; and he shall return and stir himself up, even to his stronghold.
10บุตรทั้งหลายของเขาจะทำสงคราม รวบรวมกองกำลังมหาศาล กองกำลังเหล่านี้จะเคลื่อนมา ทะลักและรุกผ่านไป แล้วจะกลับมาทำสงครามจนถึงป้อมของเขา
11And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north; and he shall set forth a great multitude, but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
11“กษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้จะโกรธ ยกออกมาต่อสู้กับกษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือ ฝ่ายเหนือจะส่งกองทัพใหญ่ แต่กองทัพนั้นจะตกอยู่ในอำนาจของฝ่ายใต้
12and the multitude shall be carried away, and his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down tens of thousands; but he shall not prevail.
12เมื่อกองทัพนั้นถูกกวาดไป ใจเขาจะหยิ่งผยอง เขาจะโค่นคนเป็นหมื่นๆ แต่จะไม่ได้ชัยชนะ
13And the king of the north shall again set forth a multitude, greater than the former; and he shall come on at the end of the times, even of years, with a great army and with much substance.
13กษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือจะกลับมา ส่งกองทัพใหญ่กว่าครั้งก่อน เมื่อครบกำหนดเวลาหลายปี เขาจะยกมาพร้อมกองทัพใหญ่และเสบียงมากมาย
14And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south; also the children of the violent among thy people shall lift themselves up to establish the vision; but they shall stumble.
14“ในเวลานั้น หลายคนจะลุกขึ้นต่อต้านกษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้ ลูกหลานของคนรุนแรงในประชาชนของท่านจะลุกขึ้นด้วย เพื่อทำให้นิมิตเป็นจริง แต่พวกเขาจะล้มลง
15And the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mound, and take a well-fortified city; and the arms of the south shall not withstand; and as for his chosen people, there shall be no strength in them to withstand.
15กษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือจะยกมา ถมเนินดินและยึดเมืองที่มีป้อมมั่นคง กองกำลังฝ่ายใต้จะต้านทานไม่ได้ แม้แต่ทหารที่คัดเลือกมาแล้วก็จะไม่มีแรงต้านทาน
16But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him; and he shall stand in the beauteous land, and in his hand shall be extermination.
16ผู้ที่ยกมาต่อสู้กับเขาจะทำตามใจตน ไม่มีใครต้านทานได้ เขาจะยืนอยู่ในแผ่นดินอันรุ่งโรจน์ การทำลายล้างจะอยู่ในมือของเขา
17And he shall set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom, but shall make an agreement with him; and he shall give him the daughter of women, to destroy it; but it shall not stand, neither be for him.
17เขาจะตั้งใจยกมาด้วยกำลังทั้งราชอาณาจักร พร้อมเงื่อนไขที่เป็นธรรม และจะทำตามข้อตกลงนั้น เขาจะมอบธิดาผู้หนึ่งให้อีกฝ่ายเพื่อทำลายอาณาจักร แต่นางจะไม่ยืนหยัด และจะไม่อยู่ฝ่ายเขา
18After this shall he set his face unto the isles, and shall take many; but a captain shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; yea, he shall cause his own reproach to return upon him.
18หลังจากนั้น เขาจะหันไปทางหมู่เกาะและยึดได้หลายแห่ง แต่ผู้ปกครองคนหนึ่งจะยุติการดูหมิ่นของเขา และทำให้เขาเองกลับเป็นฝ่ายถูกดูหมิ่น
19Then he shall turn his face toward the strongholds of his own land; but he shall stumble and fall, and shall not be found.
19เขาจะหันกลับไปยังป้อมทั้งหลายในแผ่นดินของตน แต่จะสะดุดล้มลง และไม่มีใครพบเขาอีก
20Then shall stand up in his place one that shall cause an exactor to pass through the glory of the kingdom; but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
20“จะมีผู้หนึ่งขึ้นมาแทนเขา ส่งคนเก็บภาษีให้เดินทางผ่านอาณาจักรเพื่อรักษาความรุ่งโรจน์ แต่ภายในไม่กี่วัน ผู้นั้นจะถูกทำลาย ไม่ใช่เพราะความโกรธ และไม่ใช่ในสงคราม
21And in his place shall stand up a contemptible person, upon whom had not been conferred the majesty of the kingdom; but he shall come in time of security, and shall obtain the kingdom by blandishments.
21“จะมีคนที่น่าเหยียดหยามขึ้นมาแทนเขา โดยไม่ได้รับเกียรติแห่งราชอาณาจักร เขาจะเข้ามาในยามปลอดภัย และได้อาณาจักรมาด้วยคำประจบ
22And the arms of the flood shall be swept away from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
22กองกำลังที่ทะลักเข้ามาจะถูกกวาดให้พ้นหน้าเขาและแตกพ่าย เจ้านายแห่งพันธสัญญาก็เช่นกัน
23And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully; and he shall come up and become strong, with a little nation.
23หลังทำข้อตกลงกับเขาแล้ว เขาจะหลอกลวง จะขึ้นมาและเข้มแข็งได้ด้วยคนเพียงเล็กน้อย
24In time of security shall he come even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers: he shall scatter among them prey, and spoil, and substance; yea, he shall devise his devices against fortresses, but only until the time.
24ในยามปลอดภัย เขาจะเข้ามาถึงส่วนที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ที่สุดของมณฑล จะทำสิ่งที่บิดาและบรรพบุรุษไม่เคยทำ แจกจ่ายของที่ยึดมา ของที่ปล้นมา และทรัพย์สมบัติในหมู่พวกเขา เขาจะวางแผนโจมตีป้อมปราการ แต่เพียงชั่วเวลาหนึ่งเท่านั้น
25And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall stir himself up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall devise devices against him.
25“เขาจะระดมกำลังและปลุกใจให้ฮึกเหิม ยกกองทัพใหญ่ไปต่อต้านกษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้ ฝ่ายใต้จะทำสงครามด้วยกองทัพที่ใหญ่โตและแข็งแกร่งอย่างยิ่ง แต่จะต้านทานไม่ได้ เพราะมีผู้วางแผนเล่นงานเขา
26Yea, they that eat of his food shall destroy him, and his army shall be swept away; and many shall fall down slain.
26คนที่กินอาหารชั้นดีของเขาจะทำลายเขา กองทัพของเขาจะถูกกวาดไป คนจำนวนมากจะถูกฆ่าล้มตาย
27And as for both these kings, their hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper, for the end remaineth yet for the time appointed.
27กษัตริย์ทั้งสองมุ่งทำชั่ว จะพูดโกหกกันที่โต๊ะเดียวกัน แต่จะไม่สำเร็จ เพราะจุดจบยังจะเกิดตามเวลาที่กำหนด
28And he shall return to his own land with great substance; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do his pleasure, and return to his own land.
28เขาจะกลับแผ่นดินของตนพร้อมทรัพย์สมบัติมากมาย ตั้งใจต่อต้านพันธสัญญาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เขาจะลงมือทำ แล้วกลับแผ่นดินของตน
29At the time appointed he shall return, and come into the south; but it shall not be in the latter time as it was in the former.
29“เมื่อถึงเวลาที่กำหนด เขาจะกลับมาและยกไปทางใต้ แต่ครั้งหลังจะไม่เป็นเหมือนครั้งก่อน
30For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be cowed, and he shall return, and have indignation against the holy covenant, and shall do his pleasure; and he shall return, and have regard unto them that forsake the holy covenant.
30เพราะเรือจากคิททิมจะมาต่อต้านเขา เขาจะทุกข์ใจและหันกลับ โกรธแค้นพันธสัญญาศักดิ์สิทธิ์และลงมือทำ เขาจะหันกลับมาเอาใจใส่ผู้ที่ละทิ้งพันธสัญญาศักดิ์สิทธิ์
31And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, even the stronghold, and shall take away the continual burnt-offering, and they shall set up the detestable thing that causeth appalment.
31“กองกำลังของเขาจะทำให้สถานศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ซึ่งเป็นป้อมปราการ เป็นมลทิน และเอาเครื่องเผาบูชาที่ถวายเป็นประจำออกไป แล้วจะตั้งสิ่งน่ารังเกียจที่ทำให้ร้างเปล่าไว้
32And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall be corrupt by blandishments; but the people that know their God shall show strength, and prevail.
32เขาจะใช้คำประจบชักนำผู้ที่ละเมิดพันธสัญญาให้เสื่อมทราม แต่ประชาชนที่รู้จักพระเจ้าของตนจะเข้มแข็งและลงมือทำ
33And they that are wise among the people shall cause the many to understand; yet they shall stumble by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil, many days.
33“ผู้มีปัญญาในหมู่ประชาชนจะสอนคนจำนวนมาก แต่ตลอดหลายวัน พวกเขาจะล้มลงด้วยดาบและเปลวไฟ ถูกจับเป็นเชลยและถูกปล้นสะดม
34Now when they shall stumble, they shall be helped with a little help; but many shall join themselves unto them with blandishments.
34เมื่อพวกเขาล้มลง จะมีผู้ช่วยอยู่บ้าง แต่หลายคนจะเข้าร่วมกับพวกเขาโดยพูดประจบเอาใจ
35And some of them that are wise shall stumble, to refine among them, and to purify, and to make white, even to the time of the end; for it is yet for the time appointed.
35ผู้มีปัญญาบางคนจะล้มลง เพื่อหลอมพวกเขาให้บริสุทธิ์ ชำระให้สะอาด และทำให้ขาวผ่อง จนถึงวาระสุดท้าย เพราะยังต้องรอเวลาที่กำหนด
36And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak strange things against the God of gods; and he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done.
36“กษัตริย์จะทำตามใจตน ยกตนและทำให้ตนยิ่งใหญ่เหนือเทพเจ้าทุกองค์ พูดสิ่งชวนตะลึงต่อต้านพระเจ้าเหนือเทพเจ้าทั้งปวง เขาจะรุ่งเรืองจนความโกรธสิ้นสุดลง เพราะสิ่งที่กำหนดไว้จะต้องเกิดขึ้น
37Neither shall he regard the gods of his fathers; and neither the desire of women, nor any god, shall he regard; for he shall magnify himself above all.
37เขาจะไม่ใส่ใจเทพเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษ ไม่ใส่ใจความปรารถนาของสตรี และไม่ใส่ใจเทพเจ้าองค์ใด เพราะเขาจะยกตนให้ยิ่งใหญ่เหนือทุกสิ่ง
38But in his place shall he honour the god of strongholds; and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and costly things.
38แต่เขาจะยกย่องเทพเจ้าแห่งป้อมปราการแทนสิ่งเหล่านั้น จะถวายเกียรติแก่เทพเจ้าที่บรรพบุรุษไม่รู้จัก ด้วยทองคำ เงิน อัญมณี และของล้ำค่า
39And he shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god; whom he shall acknowledge, shall increase glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for a price.
39เขาจะจัดการกับป้อมปราการที่แข็งแกร่งที่สุด ด้วยความช่วยเหลือจากเทพเจ้าต่างถิ่น เขาจะยกย่องให้ผู้ที่ยอมรับเขามีเกียรติยิ่งขึ้น ให้พวกเขาปกครองคนจำนวนมาก และแบ่งที่ดินให้โดยเรียกค่าตอบแทน
40And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him; and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow, as he passes through.
40“เมื่อถึงวาระสุดท้าย กษัตริย์ฝ่ายใต้จะต่อสู้กับเขา และกษัตริย์ฝ่ายเหนือจะพุ่งเข้าใส่เขาเหมือนพายุหมุน พร้อมรถศึก ทหารม้า และเรือมากมาย เขาจะรุกเข้าไปในประเทศทั้งหลาย ทะลักและผ่านไป
41He shall enter also into the beauteous land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall be delivered out of his hand, Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
41เขาจะเข้าไปในแผ่นดินอันรุ่งโรจน์ด้วย หลายประเทศจะถูกโค่น แต่ผู้ที่จะพ้นจากอำนาจของเขาคือ เอโดม โมอับ และผู้นำของชาวอัมโมน
42He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries; and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
42เขาจะแผ่อำนาจเหนือประเทศทั้งหลาย แผ่นดินอียิปต์จะหนีไม่พ้น
43But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
43เขาจะมีอำนาจเหนือคลังทองคำ เงิน และของล้ำค่าทั้งหมดของอียิปต์ ชาวลิเบียและชาวเอธิโอเปียจะตามรอยเท้าของเขา
44But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall affright him; and he shall go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly to take away many.
44แต่ข่าวจากตะวันออกและจากเหนือจะทำให้เขาว้าวุ่นใจ เขาจะออกไปด้วยความโกรธจัด เพื่อทำลายและกวาดล้างคนจำนวนมากจนสิ้น
45And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the beauteous holy mountain; and he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
45เขาจะตั้งเต็นท์สำหรับเป็นที่ประทับระหว่างทะเลกับภูเขาศักดิ์สิทธิ์อันรุ่งโรจน์ แต่เขาจะถึงจุดจบ และไม่มีใครช่วย
