1And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands became feeble, and all the Israelites were affrighted.
1扫罗 的儿子 伊施波设 听见 押尼珥 死在 希伯 ，手就发软； 以色列 众人也都惊惶。
2And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands; the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin; for Beeroth also is reckoned to Benjamin;
2扫罗 的儿子 伊施波设 有两个军长，一名 巴拿 ，一名 利甲 ，是 便雅悯 支派、 比录 人 临门 的儿子。 比录 也属 便雅悯 。
3and the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and have been sojourners there until this day.
3比录 人早先逃到 基他音 ，在那里寄居，直到今日。
4Now Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled; and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

5And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, as he took his rest at noon.
5一日， 比录 人 临门 的两个儿子 利甲 和 巴拿 出去，约在午热的时候到了 伊施波设 的家； 伊施波设 正睡午觉。
6And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him in the groin; and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
6他们进了房子，假作要取麦子，就刺透 伊施波设 的肚腹，逃跑了。
7Now when they came into the house, as he lay on his bed in his bed-chamber, they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and went by the way of the Arabah all night.
7他们进房子的时候， 伊施波设 正在卧房里躺在床上，他们将他杀死，割了他的首级，拿着首级在 亚拉巴 走了一夜，
8And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king: 'Behold the head of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, who sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.'
8将 伊施波设 的首级拿到 希伯 见 大卫 王，说：「王的仇敌 扫罗 曾寻索王的性命。看哪，这是他儿子 伊施波设 的首级；耶和华今日为我主我王在 扫罗 和他后裔的身上报了仇。」
9And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them: 'As the LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
9大卫 对 比录 人 临门 的儿子 利甲 和他兄弟 巴拿 说：「我指着救我性命脱离一切苦难、永生的耶和华起誓：
10when one told me, saying: Behold, Saul is dead, and he was in his own eyes as though he brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, instead of giving a reward for his tidings.
10从前有人报告我说， 扫罗 死了，他自以为报好消息；我就拿住他，将他杀在 洗革拉 ，这就作了他报消息的赏赐。
11How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed, shall I not now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?'
11何况恶人将义人杀在他的床上，我岂不向你们讨流他血的罪、从世上除灭你们呢？」
12And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up beside the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth, and buried it in the grave of Abner in Hebron.
12于是 大卫 吩咐少年人将他们杀了，砍断他们的手脚，挂在 希伯 的池旁，却将 伊施波设 的首级葬在 希伯 、 押尼珥 的坟墓里。
