1And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah by a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
1耶和华要用旋风接 以利亚 升天的时候， 以利亚 与 以利沙 从 吉甲 前往。
2And Elijah said unto Elisha: 'Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me as far as Beth-el.' And Elisha said: 'As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.' So they went down to Beth-el. —
2以利亚 对 以利沙 说：「耶和华差我往 伯特利 去，你可以在这里等候。」 以利沙 说：「我指着永生的耶和华，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不离开你。」于是二人下到 伯特利 。
3And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him: 'Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day?' And he said: 'Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.' —
3住 伯特利 的先知门徒出来见 以利沙 ，对他说：「耶和华今日要接你的师傅离开你，你知道不知道？」他说：「我知道，你们不要作声。」
4And Elijah said unto him: 'Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho.' And he said: 'As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.' So they came to Jericho. —
4以利亚 对 以利沙 说：「耶和华差遣我往 耶利哥 去，你可以在这里等候。」 以利沙 说：「我指着永生的耶和华，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不离开你。」于是二人到了 耶利哥 。
5And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said unto him: 'Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to-day?' And he answered: 'Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.' —
5住 耶利哥 的先知门徒就近 以利沙 ，对他说：「耶和华今日要接你的师傅离开你，你知道不知道？」他说：「我知道，你们不要作声。」
6And Elijah said unto him: 'Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to the Jordan.' And he said: 'As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.' And they two went on.
6以利亚 对 以利沙 说：「耶和华差遣我往 约旦河 去，你可以在这里等候。」 以利沙 说：「我指着永生的耶和华，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不离开你。」于是二人一同前往。
7And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood over against them afar off; and they two stood by the Jordan.
7有先知门徒去了五十人，远远地站在他们对面；二人在 约旦河 边站住。
8And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
8以利亚 将自己的外衣卷起来，用以打水，水就左右分开，二人走干地而过。
9And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha: 'Ask what I shall do for thee, before I am taken from thee.' And Elisha said: 'I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.'
9过去之后， 以利亚 对 以利沙 说：「我未曾被接去离开你，你要我为你做什么，只管求我。」 以利沙 说：「愿 感动 你的灵加倍地感动我。」
10And he said: 'Thou hast asked a hard thing; nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.'
10以利亚 说：「你所求的难得。 虽然如此 ，我被接去离开你的时候，你若看见我，就必得着；不然，必得不着了。」
11And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, which parted them both assunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
11他们正走着说话，忽有火车火马将二人隔开， 以利亚 就乘旋风升天去了。
12And Elisha saw it, and he cried: 'My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof!' And he saw him no more; and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
12以利沙 看见，就呼叫说：「我父啊！我父啊！ 以色列 的战车马兵啊！」以后不再见他了。于是 以利沙 把自己的衣服撕为两片。
13He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
13他拾起 以利亚 身上掉下来的外衣，回去站在 约旦河 边。
14And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said: 'Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?' and when he also had smitten the waters, they were divided hither and thither; and Elisha went over.
14他用 以利亚 身上掉下来的外衣打水，说：「耶和华— 以利亚 的 神在哪里呢？」打水之后，水也左右分开， 以利沙 就过来了。
15And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho some way off saw him, they said: 'The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha.' And they came to meet him, and bowed down to the ground before him.
15住 耶利哥 的先知门徒从对面看见他，就说：「 感动 以利亚 的灵感动 以利沙 了。」他们就来迎接他，在他面前俯伏于地，
16And they said unto him: 'Behold now, there are with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master; lest peradventure the spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley.' And he said: 'Ye shall not send.'
16对他说：「仆人们这里有五十个壮士，求你容他们去寻找你师傅，或者耶和华的灵将他提起来，投在某山某谷。」 以利沙 说：「你们不必打发人去。」
17And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said: 'Send.' They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.
17他们再三催促他，他难以推辞，就说：「你们打发人去吧！」他们便打发五十人去，寻找了三天，也没有找着。
18And they came back to him, while he tarried at Jericho; and he said unto them: 'Did I not say unto you: Go not?'
18以利沙 仍然在 耶利哥 等候他们回到他那里；他对他们说：「我岂没有告诉你们不必去吗？」
19And the men of the city said unto Elisha: 'Behold, we pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth; but the water is bad, and the land miscarrieth.
19耶利哥 城的人对 以利沙 说：「这城的地势美好，我主看见了；只是水恶劣，土产不熟而落。」
20And he said: 'Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein.' And they brought it to him.
20以利沙 说：「你们拿一个新瓶来，装盐给我」；他们就拿来给他。
21And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said: 'Thus saith the LORD: I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying.'
21他出到水源，将盐倒在水中，说：「耶和华如此说：『我治好了这水，从此必不再使人死，也不再使地土不生产。』」
22So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.
22于是那水治好了，直到今日，正如 以利沙 所说的。
23And he went up from thence unto Beth-el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him: 'Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead.'
23以利沙 从那里上 伯特利 去，正上去的时候，有些童子从城里出来，戏笑他说：「秃头的上去吧！秃头的上去吧！」
24And he looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she-bears out of the wood, and tore forty and two children of them.
24他回头看见，就奉耶和华的名咒诅他们。于是有两只母熊从林中出来，撕裂他们中间四十二个童子。
25And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
25以利沙 从 伯特利 上 迦密山 ，又从 迦密山 回到 撒马利亚 。
