1In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.
1犹大 王 亚哈谢 的儿子 约阿施 二十三年， 耶户 的儿子 约哈斯 在 撒马利亚 登基作 以色列 王十七年。
2And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.
2约哈斯 行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，效法 尼八 的儿子 耶罗波安 使 以色列 人陷在罪里的那罪，总不离开。
3And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael, continually.
3于是，耶和华的怒气向 以色列 人发作，将他们屡次交在 亚兰 王 哈薛 和他儿子 便哈达 的手里。
4And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him; for He saw the oppression of Israel, how that the king of Aram oppressed them. —
4约哈斯 恳求耶和华，耶和华就应允他，因为见 以色列 人所受 亚兰 王的欺压。
5And the LORD gave Israel a deliverer, so that they went out from under the hand of the Arameans; and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.
5耶和华赐给 以色列 人一位拯救者，使他们脱离 亚兰 人的手；于是 以色列 人仍旧安居在家里。
6Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, wherewith he made Israel to sin, but walked therein; and there remained the Asherah also in Samaria. —
6然而，他们不离开 耶罗波安 家使 以色列 人陷在罪里的那罪，仍然去行，并且在 撒马利亚 留下 亚舍拉 。
7For there was not left to Jehoahaz of the people save fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Aram destroyed them, and made them like the dust in threshing.
7亚兰 王灭绝 约哈斯 的民，践踏他们如禾场上的尘沙，只给 约哈斯 留下五十马兵，十辆战车，一万步兵。
8Now the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
8约哈斯 其余的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力都写在 以色列 诸王记上。
9And Jehoahaz slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria; and Joash his son reigned in his stead.
9约哈斯 与他列祖同睡，葬在 撒马利亚 。他儿子 约阿施 接续他作王。
10In the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah began Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteen years.
10犹大 王 约阿施 三十七年， 约哈斯 的儿子 约阿施 在 撒马利亚 登基作 以色列 王十六年。
11And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin; but he walked therein.
11他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，不离开 尼八 的儿子 耶罗波安 使 以色列 人陷在罪里的一切罪，仍然去行。
12Now the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might wherewith he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
12约阿施 其余的事，凡他所行的和他与 犹大 王 亚玛谢 争战的勇力，都写在 以色列 诸王记上。
13And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne; and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
13约阿施 与他列祖同睡， 耶罗波安 坐了他的位。 约阿施 与 以色列 诸王一同葬在 撒马利亚 。
14Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he was to die; and Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over him, and said: 'My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof!'
14以利沙 得了必死的病， 以色列 王 约阿施 下来看他，伏在他脸上哭泣，说：「我父啊！我父啊！ 以色列 的战车马兵啊！」
15And Elisha said unto him: 'Take bow and arrows'; and he took unto him bow and arrows.
15以利沙 对他说：「你取弓箭来。」王就取了弓箭来；
16And he said to the king of Israel: 'Put thy hand upon the bow'; and he put his hand upon it. And Elisha laid his hands upon the king's hands.
16又对 以色列 王说：「你用手拿弓。」王就用手拿 弓 。 以利沙 按手在王的手上，
17And he said: 'Open the window eastward'; and he opened it. Then Elisha said: 'Shoot'; and he shot. And he said: 'The LORD'S arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory against Aram; for thou shalt smite the Arameans in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.'
17说：「你开朝东的窗户。」他就开了。 以利沙 说：「射箭吧！」他就射箭。 以利沙 说：「这是耶和华的得胜箭，就是战胜 亚兰 人的箭；因为你必在 亚弗 攻打 亚兰 人，直到灭尽他们。」
18And he said: 'Take the arrows'; and he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel: 'Smite upon the ground'; and he smote thrice, and stayed.
18以利沙 又说：「取几枝箭来。」他就取了来。 以利沙 说：「打地吧！」他打了三次，便止住了。
19And the man of God was wroth with him, and said: 'Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Aram till thou hadst consumed it; whereas now thou shalt smite Aram but thrice.'
19神人向他发怒，说：「应当击打五六次，就能攻打 亚兰 人直到灭尽；现在只能打败 亚兰 人三次。」
20And Elisha died, and they buried him. Now the bands of the Moabites used to invade the land at the coming in of the year.
20以利沙 死了，人将他葬埋。到了新年，有一群 摩押 人犯境，
21And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha; and as soon as the man touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
21有人正葬死人，忽然看见一群人，就把死人抛在 以利沙 的坟墓里，一碰着 以利沙 的骸骨，死人就复活，站起来了。
22And Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
22约哈斯 年间， 亚兰 王 哈薛 屡次欺压 以色列 人。
23But the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither hath He cast them from His presence until now.
23耶和华却因与 亚伯拉罕 、 以撒 、 雅各 所立的约，仍施恩给 以色列 人，怜恤他们，眷顾他们，不肯灭尽他们，尚未赶逐他们离开自己面前。
24And Hazael king of Aram died; and Ben-hadad his son reigned in his stead.
24亚兰 王 哈薛 死了，他儿子 便·哈达 接续他作王。
25And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash smite him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
25从前 哈薛 和 约阿施 的父亲 约哈斯 争战，攻取了些城邑，现在 约哈斯 的儿子 约阿施 三次打败 哈薛 的儿子 便哈达 ，就收回了 以色列 的城邑。
