1And the spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded;
1神的灵感动 俄德 的儿子 亚撒利雅 。
2and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him: 'Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the LORD is with you, while ye are with Him; and if ye seek Him, He will be found of you; but if ye forsake Him, He will forsake you.
2他出来迎接 亚撒 ，对他说：「 亚撒 和 犹大 、 便雅悯 众人哪，要听我说：你们若顺从耶和华，耶和华必与你们同在；你们若寻求他，就必寻见；你们若离弃他，他必离弃你们。
3Now for long seasons Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law;
3以色列 人不信真神，没有训诲的祭司，也没有律法，已经好久了；
4but when in their distress they turned unto the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found of them.
4但他们在急难的时候归向耶和华— 以色列 的 神，寻求他，他就被他们寻见。
5And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great discomfitures were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.
5那时，出入的人不得平安，列国的居民都遭大乱；
6And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did discomfit them with all manner of adversity.
6这国攻击那国，这城攻击那城，互相破坏，因为 神用各样灾难扰乱他们。
7But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.'
7现在你们要刚强，不要手软，因你们所行的必得赏赐。」
8And when Asa heard these words, even the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the detestable things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
8亚撒 听见这话和 俄德 儿子 先知 亚撒利雅 的预言，就壮起胆来，在 犹大 、 便雅悯 全地，并 以法莲 山地所夺的各城，将可憎之物尽都除掉，又在耶和华 殿 的廊前重新修筑耶和华的坛；
9And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon; for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
9又招聚 犹大 、 便雅悯 的众人，并他们中间寄居的 以法莲 人、 玛拿西 人、 西缅 人。有许多 以色列 人归降 亚撒 ，因见耶和华—他的 神与他同在。
10So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
10亚撒 十五年三月，他们都聚集在 耶路撒冷 。
11And they sacrificed unto the LORD in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
11当日他们从所取的掳物中，将牛七百只、羊七千只献给耶和华。
12And they entered into the covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
12他们就立约，要尽心尽性地寻求耶和华—他们列祖的 神。
13and that whosoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
13凡不寻求耶和华— 以色列 神的，无论大小、男女，必被治死。
14And they swore unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with horns.
14他们就大声欢呼，吹号吹角，向耶和华起誓。
15And all Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found of them; and the LORD gave them rest round about.
15犹大 众人为所起的誓欢喜；因他们是尽心起誓，尽意寻求耶和华，耶和华就被他们寻见，且赐他们四境平安。
16And also Maacah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
16亚撒 王贬了他祖母 玛迦 太后的位，因她造了可憎的偶像 亚舍拉 。 亚撒 砍下她的偶像，捣得粉碎，烧在 汲沦溪 边。
17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel; nevertheless the heart of Asa was whole all his days.
17只是邱坛还没有从 以色列 中废去，然而 亚撒 的心一生诚实。
18And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had hallowed, and that he himself had hallowed, silver, and gold, and vessels.
18亚撒 将他父所分别为圣、与自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿都奉到 神的殿里。
19And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
19从这时直到 亚撒 三十五年，都没有争战的事。
