1Now king Solomon loved many foreign women, besides the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
1กษัตริย์โซโลมอนรักหญิงต่างชาติมากมาย นอกจากธิดาของฟาโรห์แล้ว ยังมีหญิงชาวโมอับ อัมโมน เอโดม ไซดอน และฮิตไทต์
2of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel: 'Ye shall not go among them, neither shall they come among you; for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods'; Solomon did cleave unto these in love.

3And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.

4For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not whole with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
4เมื่อโซโลมอนชรา ภรรยาของพระองค์ชักนำใจพระองค์ให้ติดตามพระอื่น ใจของพระองค์ไม่ซื่อตรงต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของตนอย่างใจของดาวิดบิดา
5For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the detestation of the Ammonites.
5โซโลมอนติดตามอัชโทเรท เทพีของชาวไซดอน และมิลโคม สิ่งน่ารังเกียจของชาวอัมโมน
6And Solomon did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7Then did Solomon build a high place for Chemosh the detestation of Moab, in the mount that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the detestation of the children of Ammon.
7โซโลมอนสร้างสถานบูชาบนที่สูงสำหรับเคโมช สิ่งน่ารังเกียจของชาวโมอับ บนภูเขาที่อยู่ตรงข้ามเยรูซาเล็ม และสร้างสำหรับโมเลค สิ่งน่ารังเกียจของชาวอัมโมนด้วย
8And so did he for all his foreign wives, who offered and sacrificed unto their gods.
8พระองค์ทำเช่นนี้ให้ภรรยาต่างชาติทุกคน ซึ่งเผาเครื่องหอมและถวายเครื่องบูชาแก่พระของตน
9And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared unto him twice,
9พระยาห์เวห์ทรงกริ้วโซโลมอน เพราะใจพระองค์หันไปจากพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ผู้เคยปรากฏแก่พระองค์สองครั้ง
10and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
10และทรงสั่งเรื่องนี้ไว้แล้วว่าอย่าติดตามพระอื่น แต่โซโลมอนไม่รักษาพระบัญชาของพระยาห์เวห์
11Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon: 'Forasmuch as this hath been in thy mind, and thou hast not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
11พระยาห์เวห์จึงตรัสกับโซโลมอนว่า “เพราะเจ้าทำเช่นนี้และไม่รักษาพันธสัญญากับกฎเกณฑ์ที่เราสั่งไว้ เราจะฉีกอาณาจักรออกจากเจ้าอย่างแน่นอน แล้วมอบให้ผู้รับใช้ของเจ้า
12Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it, for David thy father's sake; but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.
12ถึงกระนั้น เพื่อเห็นแก่ดาวิดบิดาของเจ้า เราจะไม่ทำในสมัยของเจ้า แต่จะฉีกอาณาจักรออกจากมือบุตรของเจ้า
13Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to thy son; for David My servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.'
13อย่างไรก็ดี เราจะไม่ฉีกอาณาจักรทั้งหมด เราจะให้บุตรของเจ้าหนึ่งเผ่า เพื่อเห็นแก่ดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา และเยรูซาเล็มที่เราเลือกไว้”
14And the LORD raised up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was of the king's seed in Edom.
14พระยาห์เวห์ทรงทำให้มีศัตรูขึ้นต่อต้านโซโลมอน คือฮาดัดชาวเอโดม เขาเป็นเชื้อสายกษัตริย์แห่งเอโดม
15For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, and had smitten every male in Edom —
15ก่อนหน้านั้น เมื่อดาวิดอยู่ในเอโดม โยอาบแม่ทัพขึ้นไปฝังศพผู้ถูกฆ่า แล้วฆ่าชายทุกคนในเอโดม
16for Joab and all Israel remained there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom —
16โยอาบและชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมดอยู่ที่นั่นหกเดือนจนเขากำจัดชายทุกคนในเอโดม
17that Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
17แต่ฮาดัดซึ่งยังเป็นเด็กเล็กหนีไปอียิปต์พร้อมชาวเอโดมบางคนที่เป็นข้ารับใช้ของบิดา
18And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran; and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave him a house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.

19And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
19ฮาดัดเป็นที่โปรดปรานของฟาโรห์มาก จนฟาโรห์ยกน้องสาวของภรรยาตน ซึ่งเป็นน้องสาวของราชินีทาห์เปเนสให้เป็นภรรยาของเขา
20And the sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house; and Genubath was in Pharaoh's house among the sons of Pharaoh.
20น้องสาวของทาห์เปเนสให้กำเนิดเกนูบัทบุตรของฮาดัด ทาห์เปเนสเป็นผู้เลี้ยงดูเกนูบัทจนหย่านมในวังฟาโรห์ เกนูบัทจึงอยู่ในวังฟาโรห์ท่ามกลางบรรดาโอรสของฟาโรห์
21And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh: 'Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.'
21เมื่อฮาดัดได้ข่าวในอียิปต์ว่าดาวิดล่วงลับไปแล้วและโยอาบแม่ทัพตายแล้ว เขาจึงทูลฟาโรห์ว่า “โปรดอนุญาตให้ข้าพเจ้าเดินทางกลับประเทศของข้าพเจ้า”
22Then Pharaoh said unto him: 'But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country?' And he answered: 'Nothing; howbeit let me depart in any wise.'
22ฟาโรห์ถามว่า “เจ้ายังขาดสิ่งใดเมื่ออยู่กับเรา จึงอยากกลับประเทศของตน?” ฮาดัดตอบว่า “ไม่ขาดสิ่งใด แต่ขอให้ข้าพเจ้าไปเถิด”
23And God raised up another adversary unto him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah.
23พระเจ้าทรงทำให้มีศัตรูอีกคนขึ้นต่อต้านโซโลมอน คือเรโซนบุตรเอลียาดา ซึ่งเคยหนีจากฮาดัดเอเซอร์ กษัตริย์แห่งโศบาห์เจ้านายของตน
24And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a troop, when David slew them of Zobah; and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.
24เมื่อดาวิดฆ่าคนของโศบาห์ เรโซนรวบรวมคนเป็นกองกำลังและเป็นหัวหน้า พวกเขาไปอยู่ที่ดามัสกัสและขึ้นปกครองที่นั่น
25And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did; and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Aram.

26And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, he also lifted up his hand against the king.
26เยโรโบอัมบุตรเนบัท ชาวเอฟราอิมจากเศเรดาห์ เป็นข้ารับใช้ของโซโลมอน มารดาของเขาชื่อเศรูอาห์เป็นหญิงม่าย เขาก็ลุกขึ้นต่อต้านกษัตริย์ด้วย
27And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breach of the city of David his father.
27สาเหตุที่เขาลุกขึ้นต่อต้านกษัตริย์คือ โซโลมอนสร้างมิลโล และซ่อมช่องที่พังในกำแพงนครดาวิดบิดาของพระองค์
28And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour; and Solomon saw the young man that he was industrious, and he gave him charge over all the labour of the house of Joseph.
28เยโรโบอัมเป็นชายกล้าหาญ โซโลมอนทรงเห็นว่าชายหนุ่มคนนี้ขยัน จึงแต่งตั้งเขาให้ดูแลแรงงานทั้งหมดของวงศ์วานโยเซฟ
29And it came to pass at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field.
29ขณะที่เยโรโบอัมออกจากเยรูซาเล็ม อาหิยาห์ผู้เผยพระวจนะชาวชิโลห์พบเขาระหว่างทาง อาหิยาห์สวมเสื้อคลุมตัวใหม่ และทั้งสองอยู่กันตามลำพังในทุ่ง
30And Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces.
30อาหิยาห์จับเสื้อคลุมตัวใหม่ที่ตนสวมอยู่ ฉีกออกเป็นสิบสองชิ้น
31And he said to Jeroboam: 'Take thee ten pieces; for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee —
31แล้วบอกเยโรโบอัมว่า “จงหยิบไปสิบชิ้น เพราะพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสว่า ‘เราจะฉีกอาณาจักรออกจากมือโซโลมอนและมอบสิบเผ่าให้เจ้า
32but he shall have one tribe, for My servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel —
32แต่เขาจะยังมีหนึ่งเผ่า เพื่อเห็นแก่ดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา และเยรูซาเล็ม เมืองที่เราเลือกจากทุกเผ่าของอิสราเอล
33because that they have forsaken Me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon; and they have not walked in My ways, to do that which is right in Mine eyes, and to keep My statutes and Mine ordinances, as did David his father.
33เพราะพวกเขาทอดทิ้งเราและกราบไหว้อัชโทเรท เทพีของชาวไซดอน เคโมช พระของชาวโมอับ และมิลโคม พระของชาวอัมโมน พวกเขาไม่ได้ดำเนินตามทางของเรา ไม่ได้ทำสิ่งถูกต้องในสายตาเรา และไม่ได้รักษากฎเกณฑ์กับข้อกำหนดของเราเหมือนดาวิดบิดาของเขา
34Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand; but I will make him prince all the days of his life, for David My servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept My commandments and My statutes;
34“‘ถึงอย่างนั้น เราจะไม่เอาอาณาจักรทั้งหมดออกจากมือโซโลมอน แต่จะให้เขาเป็นผู้นำตลอดชีวิต เพื่อเห็นแก่ดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเราที่เราเลือกไว้ ผู้รักษาพระบัญญัติและกฎเกณฑ์ของเรา
35but I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.
35เราจะเอาอาณาจักรออกจากมือบุตรของเขาแล้วมอบสิบเผ่าให้เจ้า
36And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David My servant may have a lamp alway before Me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen Me to put My name there.
36เราจะให้บุตรของเขาหนึ่งเผ่า เพื่อดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเราจะมีดวงประทีปส่องอยู่ต่อหน้าเราเสมอในเยรูซาเล็ม เมืองที่เราเลือกเป็นที่ตั้งพระนามของเรา
37And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign over all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
37ส่วนเจ้า เราจะรับเจ้าไว้ให้ครองราชย์ตามที่ใจเจ้าปรารถนา และเป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอล
38And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in My ways, and do that which is right in Mine eyes, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as David My servant did, that I will be with thee, and will build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
38หากเจ้าฟังทุกสิ่งที่เราสั่ง ดำเนินตามทางของเรา ทำสิ่งถูกต้องในสายตาเรา และรักษากฎเกณฑ์กับพระบัญญัติของเราเหมือนดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา เราจะอยู่กับเจ้า สร้างราชวงศ์ที่มั่นคงให้เจ้าเหมือนที่เราสร้างให้ดาวิด และมอบอิสราเอลให้เจ้า
39And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.'
39เพราะเรื่องนี้เราจะทำให้เชื้อสายดาวิดทุกข์ยาก แต่ไม่ตลอดไป’”
40Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam; but Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
40โซโลมอนจึงพยายามฆ่าเยโรโบอัม แต่เยโรโบอัมหนีไปหาชิชัก กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ และอยู่ที่อียิปต์จนโซโลมอนสิ้นชีวิต
41Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
41เรื่องอื่น ๆ ของโซโลมอน ทั้งพระราชกิจและปัญญาของพระองค์ ไม่ได้เขียนไว้ในหนังสือเรื่องพระราชกิจของโซโลมอนหรือ?
42And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
42โซโลมอนครองราชย์เหนืออิสราเอลทั้งหมดในเยรูซาเล็มสี่สิบปี
43And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father; and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
43โซโลมอนล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษ และมีคนนำพระศพไปฝังในนครดาวิดบิดาของพระองค์ แล้วเรโหโบอัมบุตรของพระองค์ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
