1At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
1ในเวลานั้นอาบียาห์บุตรของเยโรโบอัมป่วย
2And Jeroboam said to his wife: 'Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh; behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, who spoke concerning me that I should be king over this people.
2เยโรโบอัมบอกภรรยาว่า “จงปลอมตัวเพื่อไม่ให้ใครรู้ว่าเจ้าเป็นภรรยาของเยโรโบอัม แล้วไปชิโลห์ อาหิยาห์ผู้เผยพระวจนะอยู่ที่นั่น เขาเคยบอกว่าเราจะเป็นกษัตริย์เหนือประชาชนนี้
3And take with thee ten loaves, and biscuits, and a cruse of honey, and go to him; he will tell thee what shall become of the child.'
3จงนำขนมปังสิบก้อน ขนมเล็ก ๆ และน้ำผึ้งหนึ่งไหไปหาเขา เขาจะบอกเจ้าว่าเด็กจะเป็นอย่างไร”
4And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
4ภรรยาเยโรโบอัมทำตาม นางไปชิโลห์ถึงบ้านอาหิยาห์ อาหิยาห์มองไม่เห็นเพราะตาของเขามัวลงเพราะชรา
5Now the LORD had said unto Ahijah: 'Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to inquire of thee concerning her son; for he is sick; thus and thus shalt thou say unto her; for it will be, when she cometh in, that she will feign herself to be another woman.'
5พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับอาหิยาห์ว่า “ภรรยาเยโรโบอัมกำลังมาถามเจ้าเรื่องบุตรชายที่ป่วย จงบอกนางตามที่เราสั่ง เมื่อมาถึงนางจะแกล้งทำเป็นหญิงอื่น”
6And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said: 'Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
6พออาหิยาห์ได้ยินเสียงฝีเท้านางที่ประตู เขาก็พูดว่า “เข้ามาเถิด ภรรยาเยโรโบอัม! ทำไมต้องแกล้งเป็นคนอื่น? ข้าได้รับคำสั่งให้นำข่าวร้ายมาแจ้งเจ้า
7Go, tell Jeroboam: Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over My people Israel,
7จงไปบอกเยโรโบอัมว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสว่า “เราได้ยกเจ้าขึ้นจากประชาชน ตั้งให้เป็นผู้นำเหนือประชาชนอิสราเอลของเรา
8and rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee; and yet thou hast not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments, and who followed Me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in Mine eyes;
8ฉีกอาณาจักรจากราชวงศ์ดาวิดและมอบให้เจ้า แต่เจ้าไม่เหมือนดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา ผู้รักษาพระบัญญัติและติดตามเราสุดใจ ทำแต่สิ่งถูกต้องในสายตาเรา
9but hast done evil above all that were before thee, and hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke Me, and hast cast Me behind thy back;
9เจ้ากลับทำชั่วร้ายยิ่งกว่าทุกคนก่อนเจ้า ไปสร้างพระอื่นและรูปหล่อสำหรับตน ยั่วให้เราโกรธ และหันหลังให้เรา
10therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every man-child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweepeth away dung, till it be all gone.
10เพราะฉะนั้นเราจะนำภัยมาสู่ราชวงศ์เยโรโบอัม และกำจัดทุกคนของเยโรโบอัมที่ปัสสาวะรดกำแพง ทั้งคนที่ถูกกักไว้และคนที่ยังเป็นอิสระในอิสราเอล เราจะกวาดล้างราชวงศ์เยโรโบอัม เหมือนคนกวาดมูลสัตว์จนเกลี้ยง
11Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat; for the LORD hath spoken it.
11คนของเยโรโบอัมที่ตายในเมือง สุนัขจะกินศพ ส่วนคนที่ตายในทุ่ง นกบนฟ้าจะกินศพ เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ตรัสแล้ว”’
12Arise thou therefore, get thee to thy house; and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
12ดังนั้นจงกลับบ้าน เมื่อเจ้าก้าวเข้าเมือง เด็กจะตาย
13And all Israel shall make lamentation for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave; because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
13ชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมดจะไว้ทุกข์และฝังศพเขา ในบรรดาคนของเยโรโบอัม มีเพียงเขาที่จะได้ฝังในสุสาน เพราะในตัวเขามีความดีต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลอยู่
14Moreover the LORD will raise Him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day. But what is it even then?
14พระยาห์เวห์จะทรงตั้งกษัตริย์องค์หนึ่งเหนืออิสราเอลเพื่อพระองค์เอง กษัตริย์องค์นั้นจะตัดขาดราชวงศ์เยโรโบอัม วันนั้นมาถึงแล้ว! อันที่จริง บัดนี้เอง
15for the LORD will smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will root up Israel out of this good land, which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River; because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD.
15พระยาห์เวห์จะทรงตีอิสราเอลให้สั่นเหมือนต้นอ้อในน้ำ ถอนอิสราเอลออกจากแผ่นดินดีที่ประทานแก่บรรพบุรุษ แล้วกระจัดกระจายไปอีกฟากของแม่น้ำ เพราะพวกเขาสร้างเสาอาเชราห์ยั่วให้พระยาห์เวห์ทรงกริ้ว
16And He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he hath sinned, and wherewith he hath made Israel to sin.'
16พระองค์จะทรงละทิ้งอิสราเอลเพราะบาปของเยโรโบอัม ซึ่งเขาทำเองและชักนำอิสราเอลให้ทำ”
17And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah; and as she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.
17ภรรยาเยโรโบอัมลุกกลับไปถึงทีรซาห์ เมื่อก้าวถึงธรณีประตูบ้าน เด็กก็ตาย
18And all Israel buried him, and made lamentation for him; according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Ahijah the prophet.
18ชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมดฝังศพและไว้ทุกข์ให้เขา ตามพระดำรัสที่พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสผ่านอาหิยาห์ผู้เผยพระวจนะผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์
19And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
19เรื่องอื่น ๆ ของเยโรโบอัม ทั้งการทำสงครามและการครองราชย์ มีเขียนไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารกษัตริย์อิสราเอลไม่ใช่หรือ?
20And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years; and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.
20เยโรโบอัมครองราชย์ยี่สิบสองปี แล้วล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษ นาดับบุตรของเขาขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
21And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there; and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
21เรโหโบอัมบุตรโซโลมอนครองราชย์ในยูดาห์ พระองค์มีพระชนมายุสี่สิบเอ็ดปีเมื่อขึ้นครองราชย์ และครองราชย์ที่เยรูซาเล็มสิบเจ็ดปี เยรูซาเล็มคือเมืองที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงเลือกจากทุกเผ่าอิสราเอลให้เป็นที่ตั้งพระนามของพระองค์ มารดาของเรโหโบอัมชื่อนาอามาห์ เป็นชาวอัมโมน
22And Judah did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; and they moved Him to jealousy with their sins which they committed, above all that their fathers had done.
22ยูดาห์ทำสิ่งชั่วในสายพระเนตรพระยาห์เวห์ บาปที่พวกเขาทำยั่วให้พระองค์ทรงหึงหวงยิ่งกว่าสิ่งที่บรรพบุรุษเคยทำ
23For they also built them high places, and pillars, and Asherim, on every high hill, and under every leafy tree;
23พวกเขาสร้างสถานบูชาบนที่สูง เสาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และเสาอาเชราห์บนเนินเขาสูงทุกแห่งและใต้ต้นไม้เขียวทุกต้น
24and there were also sodomites in the land; they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD drove out before the children of Israel.
24ในแผ่นดินยังมีชายค้าประเวณีด้วย พวกเขาทำตามสิ่งน่ารังเกียจทุกอย่างของชนชาติที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงขับไล่ต่อหน้าชาวอิสราเอล
25And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem;
25ในปีที่ห้าแห่งรัชกาลเรโหโบอัม ชิชัก กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ยกทัพมาโจมตีเยรูซาเล็ม
26and he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all; and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
26เขานำทรัพย์ในพระวิหารพระยาห์เวห์และในวังของกษัตริย์ไปจนหมด รวมทั้งโล่ทองคำทั้งหมดที่โซโลมอนทำไว้
27And king Rehoboam made in their stead shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house.
27กษัตริย์เรโหโบอัมจึงทำโล่ทองสัมฤทธิ์แทน มอบให้เหล่าหัวหน้าองครักษ์ที่เฝ้าประตูวังเก็บรักษา
28And it was so, that as oft as the king went into the house of the LORD, the guard bore them, and brought them back into the guard-chamber.
28ทุกครั้งที่กษัตริย์เสด็จเข้าพระวิหารพระยาห์เวห์ องครักษ์จะถือโล่ตามเสด็จแล้วนำกลับห้ององครักษ์
29Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
29เรื่องอื่น ๆ ของเรโหโบอัมและทุกสิ่งที่พระองค์ทำ มีเขียนไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารกษัตริย์ยูดาห์ไม่ใช่หรือ?
30And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
30เรโหโบอัมกับเยโรโบอัมทำสงครามกันอยู่เสมอ
31And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.
31เรโหโบอัมล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษและถูกฝังกับบรรพบุรุษในนครดาวิด มารดาของพระองค์ชื่อนาอามาห์ชาวอัมโมน อาบียัมบุตรของพระองค์ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
