1EIA ka olelo kuauhau no na hanauna o Adamu. I ka la a ke Akua i hana'i ke kanaka, ma ke ano o ke Akua kana i hana mai ai ia ia.
1This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.
2He kane laua me ka wahine kana i hana'i; hoomaikai iho la oia ia laua, a kapa iho la i ko laua inoa o Adamu, i ka la i hanaia'i o laua.
2He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3Hookahi haneri makahiki o ko Adamu ola ana a me kanakolu, a hanau mai nana ke keikikane i ku ia ia, ma kona ano iho; a kapa aku la i kona inoa o Seta:
3And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.
4O na la o Adamu mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Seta, ewalu ia haneri makahiki: a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine:
4And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.
5O na la a pau o ko Adamu ola ana, he eiwa haneri makahiki a me kanakolu: a make iho la ia.
5And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6Hookahi haneri makahiki a me kumamalima o ko Seta ola ana, a hanau ae la o Enosa nana:
6Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
7Ewalu haneri makahiki o ko Seta ola ana a me kumamahiku mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Enosa, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine.
7And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
8O na la a pau o Seta, eiwa ia haneri makahiki a me ka umikumamalua: a make iho la ia.
8And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9He kanaiwa makahiki o ko Enosa ola ana, a hanau ae la o Kainana.
9And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.
10Ewalu haneri makahiki a me ka umikumamalima o ko Enosa ola ana, mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Kainana, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine:
10After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
11O na la a pau o Enosa, eiwa haneri makahiki a me kumamalima: a make iho la ia.
11And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12He kanahiku na makahiki o ko Kainana ola ana, a hanau mai o Mahalaleela nana:
12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel.
13Mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Mahalaleela, ewalu haneri makahiki o ko Kainana ola ana a me kanaha, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine:
13And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.
14A o na la a pau o Kainana, eiwa haneri makahiki a me ka umi keu: a make iho la ia.
14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15He kanaono na makahiki a me kumamalima o ko Mahalaleela ola ana, a hanau ae la o Iareda nana.
15And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.
16Mahope mai o ko Iareda hanau ana, ewalu haneri makahiki a me ke kanakolu o ko Mahalaleela ola ana, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine.
16And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
17O na la a pau o Mahalaleela, ewalu ia haneri makahiki a me kanaiwa kumamalima: a make iho la ia.
17And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18Hookahi haneri makahiki o ko Iareda ola ana a me kanaonokumamalua, a hanau ae la o Enoka nana.
18And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch.
19Mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Enoka, ewalu haneri makahiki o ko Iareda ola ana, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine.
19And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
20O na la a pau o Iareda, eiwa ia haneri makahiki a me ke kanaonokumamalua: a make iho la ia.
20And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21He kanaonokumamalima na makahiki o ko Enoka ola ana, a hanau ae la o Metusala nana.
21And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala.
22Hele pu ae la o Enoka me ke Akua, ekolu haneri makahiki mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Metusala, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine:
22And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
23O na la a pau o Enoka, ekolu haneri na makahiki a me kanaonokumamalima:
23And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24Hele pu ae la o Enoka me ke Akua, aole ia i make; no ka mea, na ke Akua ia i lawe aku.
24And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.
25Hookahi haneri makahiki o ko Metusala ola ana a me kanawalukumamahiku, a hanau ae la o Lameka nana.
25And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.
26Mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Lameka, ehiku haneri me ke kanawalukumamalua na makahiki o ko Metusala ola ana, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine.
26And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.
27O na la a pau o Metusala, eiwa haneri na makahiki a me kanaonokumamaiwa: a make iho la ia.
27And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28Hookahi haneri na makahiki a me ke kanawalukumamalua o ko Lameka ola ana, a hanau ae la ke keikikane nana:
28And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.
29Kapa aku la ia i kona inoa, o Noa, i ae la, E hoomaha mai oia nei ia kakou i ka kakou hana ana a me ka luhi ana a ko kakou mau lima, no ka honua a Iehova i hoino mai ai.
29And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth, which the Lord hath cursed.
30Mahope mai o ka hanau ana o Noa, elima haneri na makahiki a me kanaiwakumamalima o ko Lameka ola ana, a nana mai na keikikane a me na kaikamahine.
30And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.
31A o na la a pau o Lameka, ehiku haneri makahiki a me kanahikukumamahiku: a make iho la ia.
31And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
32Elima haneri makahiki o Noa: a nana mai o Sema, a o Hama, a me Iapeta.
32And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
