1Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and said:
1Binh-đát, người Su-a, bèn đáp rằng:
2How long will you throw out words? understand first, and so let us speak.
2Oâng gài bẫy bằng các lời mình cho đến chừng nào? Hãy suy nghĩ, rồi chúng tôi sẽ nói.
3Why are we reputed as beasts, and counted vile before you?
3Nhân sao chúng tôi bị coi như thú vật, Và ngu dại trước mặt ông?
4Thou that destroyest thy soul in thy fury, shall the earth be forsaken for thee, and shall rocks be removed out of their place?
4Oâng nổi giận bèn xẻ rạch mình, Há vì ông mà trái đất sẽ bị bỏ hoang, Và hòn đá phải dời đi khỏi chỗ nó sao?
5Shall not the light of the wicked be extinguished, and the flame of his fire not shine?
5Thật ánh sáng kẻ ác sẽ tắt đi, Ngọn lửa của hắn không chói nữa.
6The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and the lamp that is over him, shall be put out.
6Aùnh sáng sẽ mờ tối trong trại hắn, Ngọn đèn hắn sẽ tắt ở bên hắn.
7The step of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down headlong.
7Các bước mạnh bạo hắn sẽ bị cuồng đi, Chính các mưu chước người sẽ đánh đổ người.
8For he hath thrust his feet into a net, and walketh in its meshes.
8Vì hắn bị chân mình hãm vào cái bẩy, Và đi trên mảnh lưới.
9The sole of his foot shall be held in a snare, and thirst shall burn against him.
9Cái bẩy sẽ thắt hắn nơi gót chân, Và dò lưới sẽ bắt nó.
10A gin is hidden for him in the earth, and his trap upon the path.
10Có sợi dây khuất dưới đất, Và cái bẫy ẩn tại trên đường để hãm lấy nó.
11Fears shall terrify him on every side, and shall entangle his feet.
11Từ bốn phía sự kinh khủng sẽ làm cho hắn bối rối, Xô đẩy người đây đó, buộc vấn bước người.
12Let his strength be wasted with famine, and let hunger invade his ribs.
12Sức lực hắn vì đói khát sẽ ra yếu, Và tai họa chực sẵn ở bên cạnh người.
13Let it devour the beauty of his skin, let the firstborn death consume his arms.
13Các chi thể hắn sẽ bị tiêu nuốt, Tất sẽ bị con đầu lòng của sự chết tiêu nuốt.
14Let his confidence be rooted out of his tabernacle, and let destruction tread upon him like a king.
14Hắn sẽ bị rút ra khỏi nhà trại mình, là nơi hắn nương cậy; Đoạn bị dẫn đến vua của sự kinh khiếp.
15Let the companions of him that is not, dwell in his tabernacle, let brimstone be sprinkled in his tent.
15Kẻ chẳng thuộc về hắn sẽ ở trong trại hắn, Còn diêm sanh sẽ rải ra trên chỗ ở của nó.
16Let his roots be dried up beneath, and his harvest destroyed above.
16ỳ dưới thì rễ hắn khô héo, ở trên lại bị chặt nhành.
17Let the memory of him perish from the earth and let not his name be renowned in the streets.
17Kỷ niệm hắn sẽ diệt khỏi thế gian, Danh hắn không lưu lại trên mặt đất.
18He shall drive him out of light into darkness, and shall remove him out of the world.
18Hắn bị xô đuổi khỏi ánh sáng mà vào tối tăm, Và người ta khu trục nó khỏi thế gian.
19His seed shall not subsist, nor his offspring among his people, nor any remnants in his country.
19Hắn sẽ chẳng có con cháu giữa dân sự mình, Cũng không có ai còn sống tại trong nơi ở mình.
20They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, and horror shall fall upon them that went before.
20Những người hậu sanh sẽ lấy làm sững sờ về ngày của hắn, Y như kẻ tiền bối đã lấy làm kinh khiếp.
21These men are the tabernacles of the wicked, and this the place of him that knoweth not God.
21Quả thật đó là nơi ở của kẻ bất công, Và ấy là chốn của người không biết Đức Chúa Trời.
