1The land that was desolate and impassable shall be glad, and the wilderness shall rejoice, and shall flourish like the lily.
1曠野和乾旱之地必然歡喜； 沙漠也必快樂； 又像玫瑰開花，
2It shall bud forth and blossom, and shall rejoice with joy and praise: the glory of Libanus is given to it: the beauty of Carmel, and Saron, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the beauty of our God.
2必開花繁盛， 樂上加樂，而且歡呼。 黎巴嫩 的榮耀， 並 迦密 與 沙崙 的華美，必賜給它。 人必看見耶和華的榮耀， 我們上帝的華美。
3Strengthen ye the feeble hands, and confirm the weak knees.
3你們要使軟弱的手堅壯， 無力的膝穩固。
4Say to the fainthearted: Take courage, and fear not: behold your God will bring the revenge of recompense: God himself will come and will save you.
4對膽怯的人說： 你們要剛強，不要懼怕。 看哪，你們的上帝必來報仇， 必來施行極大的報應； 他必來拯救你們。
5Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
5那時，瞎子的眼必睜開； 聾子的耳必開通。
6Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall be free: for waters are broken out in the desert, and streams in the wilderness.
6那時，瘸子必跳躍像鹿； 啞巴的舌頭必能歌唱。 在曠野必有水發出； 在沙漠必有河湧流。
7And that which was dry land, shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the dens where dragons dwell before, shall rise up the verdure of the reed and the bulrush.
7發光的沙要變為水池； 乾渴之地要變為泉源。 在野狗躺臥之處， 必有青草、蘆葦，和蒲草。
8And a path and a way shall be there, and it shall be called the holy way: the unclean shall not pass over it, and this shall be unto you a straight way, so that fools shall not err therein.
8在那裏必有一條大道， 稱為聖路。 污穢人不得經過， 必專為贖民行走； 行路的人雖愚昧， 也不致失迷。
9No lion shall be there, nor shall any mischievous beast go up by it, nor be found there: but they shall walk there that shall be delivered.
9在那裏必沒有獅子， 猛獸也不登這路； 在那裏都遇不見， 只有贖民在那裏行走。
10And the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and shall come into Sion with praise, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
10並且耶和華救贖的民必歸回， 歌唱來到 錫安 ； 永樂必歸到他們的頭上； 他們必得着歡喜快樂， 憂愁歎息盡都逃避。
