1Hear the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning you, O ye children of Israel: concerning the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:
1以色列 人哪，你們全家是我從 埃及 地領上來的，當聽耶和華攻擊你們的話：
2You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.
2在地上萬族中，我只認識你們； 因此，我必追討你們的一切罪孽。
3Shall two walk together except they be agreed?
3二人若不同心，豈能同行呢？
4Will a lion roar in the forest, if he have no prey? will the lion’s whelp cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
4獅子若非抓食，豈能在林中咆哮呢？ 少壯獅子若無所得，豈能從洞中發聲呢？
5Will the bird fall into the snare upon the earth, if there be no fowler? Shall the snare be taken up from the earth, before it hath taken somewhat?
5若沒有機檻，雀鳥豈能陷在網羅裏呢？ 網羅若無所得，豈能從地上翻起呢？
6Shall the trumpet sound in a city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, which the Lord hath not done?
6城中若吹角，百姓豈不驚恐呢？ 災禍若臨到一城，豈非耶和華所降的嗎？
7For the Lord God doth nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
7主耶和華若不將奧祕指示他的僕人－眾先知， 就一無所行。
8The lion shall roar, who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken, who shall not prophesy?
8獅子吼叫，誰不懼怕呢？ 主耶和華發命，誰能不說預言呢？
9Publish it in the houses of Azotus, and in the houses of the land of Egypt, and say: Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the many follies in the midst thereof, and them that suffer oppression in the inner rooms thereof.
9要在 亞實突 的宮殿中 和 埃及 地的宮殿裏傳揚說： 你們要聚集在 撒馬利亞 的山上， 就看見城中有何等大的擾亂與欺壓的事。
10And they have not known to do the right thing, saith the Lord, storing up iniquity, and robberies in their houses.
10那些以強暴搶奪財物、 積蓄在自己家中的人 不知道行正直的事。 這是耶和華說的。
11Therefore thus saith the Lord God: The land shall be in tribulation, and shall be compassed about: and thy strength shall be taken away from thee, and thy houses shall be spoiled.
11所以主耶和華如此說： 敵人必來圍攻這地， 使你的勢力衰微， 搶掠你的家宅。
12Thus saith the Lord: As if a shepherd should get out of the lion’s mouth two legs, or the tip of the ear: so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria, in a piece of a bed, and in the couch of Damascus.
12耶和華如此說：「牧人怎樣從獅子口中搶回兩條 羊 腿或半個耳朵，住 撒馬利亞 的 以色列 人躺臥在床角上或鋪繡花毯的榻上，他們得救也不過如此。」
13Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord the God of hosts:
13主耶和華－萬軍之上帝說： 當聽這話，警戒 雅各 家。
14That in the day when I shall begin to visit the transgressions of Israel, I will visit upon him, and upon the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altars shall be cut off, and shall fall to the ground.
14我討 以色列 罪的日子，也要討 伯特利 祭壇的罪； 壇角必被砍下，墜落於地。
15And I will strike the winter house with the summer house: and the houses of ivory shall perish, and many houses shall be destroyed, saith the Lord.
15我要拆毀過冬和過夏的房屋。 象牙的房屋也必毀滅； 高大的房屋都歸無有。 這是耶和華說的。
