1And they brought the king word again what she had said. And he sent: and all the ancients of Juda and Jerusalem were assembled to him.
1王差遣人招聚 猶大 和 耶路撒冷 的眾長老來。
2And the king went up to the temple of the Lord, and all the men of Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, the priests and the prophets, and all the people both little and great: and in the hearing of them all he read all the words of the book of the covenant, which was found in the house of the Lord.
2王和 猶大 眾人與 耶路撒冷 的居民，並祭司、先知，和所有的百姓，無論大小，都一同上到耶和華的殿；王就把耶和華殿裏所得的約書念給他們聽。
3And the king stood upon the step: and made a covenant with the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies and his ceremonies, with all their heart, and with all their soul, and to perform the words of this covenant, which were written in that book: and the people agreed to the covenant.
3王站在柱旁，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性地順從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，成就這書上所記的約言。眾民都服從這約。
4And the king commanded Helcias the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to cast out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels that had been made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burnt them without Jerusalem in the valley of Cedron, and he carried the ashes of them to Bethel.
4王吩咐大祭司 希勒家 和副祭司，並把門的，將那為 巴力 和 亞舍拉 ，並天上萬象所造的器皿，都從耶和華殿裏搬出來，在 耶路撒冷 外 汲淪溪 旁的田間燒了，把灰拿到 伯特利 去。
5And he destroyed the soothsayers, whom the kings of Juda had appointed to sacrifice in the high places in the cities of Juda, and round about Jerusalem: them also that burnt incense to Baal, and to the sun, and to the moon, and to the twelve signs, and to all the host of heaven.
5從前 猶大 列王所立拜偶像的祭司，在 猶大 城邑的邱壇和 耶路撒冷 的周圍燒香，現在王都廢去，又廢去向 巴力 和日、月、行星，並天上萬象燒香的人；
6And he caused the grove to be carried out from the house of the Lord without Jerusalem to the valley of Cedron, and he burnt it there, and reduced it to dust, and cast the dust upon the graves of the common people.
6又從耶和華殿裏將 亞舍拉 搬到 耶路撒冷 外 汲淪溪 邊焚燒，打碎成灰，將灰撒在平民的墳上；
7He destroyed also the pavilions of the effeminate, which were in the house of the Lord, for which the women wove as it were little dwellings for the grove.
7又拆毀耶和華殿裏孌童的屋子，就是婦女為 亞舍拉 織帳子的屋子，
8And he gathered together all the priests out of the cities of Juda: and he defiled the high places, where the priests offered sacrifice, from Gabaa to Bersabee: and he broke down the altars of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Josue governor of tile city, which was on the left hand of the gate of the city.
8並且從 猶大 的城邑帶眾祭司來，污穢祭司燒香的邱壇，從 迦巴 直到 別是巴 ，又拆毀城門旁的邱壇，這邱壇在邑宰 約書亞 門前，進城門的左邊。
9However the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem: but only ate of the unleavened bread among their brethren.
9但是邱壇的祭司不登 耶路撒冷 耶和華的壇，只在他們弟兄中間吃無酵餅。
10And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Ennom: that no man should consecrate there his son or his daughter through fire to Moloch.
10又污穢 欣嫩子谷 的 陀斐特 ，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給 摩洛 ；
11And he took away the horses which the kings of Juda had given to the sun, at the entering in of the temple of the Lord, near the chamber of Nathanmelech the eunuch, who was in Pharurim: and he burnt the chariots of the sun with fire.
11又將 猶大 列王在耶和華殿門旁、太監 拿單‧米勒 靠近遊廊的屋子、向日頭所獻的馬廢去，且用火焚燒日車。
12And the altars that were upon the top of the upper chamber of Achaz, which the kings of Juda had made, and the altars which Manasses had made in the two courts of the temple of the Lord, the king broke down: and he ran from thence, and cast the ashes of them into the torrent Cedron.
12猶大 列王在 亞哈斯 樓頂上所築的壇和 瑪拿西 在耶和華殿兩院中所築的壇，王都拆毀打碎了，就把灰倒在 汲淪溪 中。
13The high places also that were at Jerusalem on the right side of the Mount of Offence, O which Solomon king of Israel had built to Astaroth the idol of the Sidonians, and to Chamos the scandal of Moab, and to Melchom the abomination of the children of Ammon, the king defiled.
13從前 以色列 王 所羅門 在 耶路撒冷 前、邪僻山右邊為 西頓 人可憎的神 亞斯她錄 、 摩押 人可憎的神 基抹 、 亞捫 人可憎的神 米勒公 所築的邱壇，王都污穢了，
14And he broke in pieces the statues, and cut down the groves: and he filled their places with the bones of dead men.

15Moreover the altar also that was at Bethel, and the high place, which Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin, had made: both the altar, and the high place he broke down and burnt, and reduced to powder, and burnt the grove.
15他將 伯特利 的壇，就是叫 以色列 人陷在罪裏、 尼八 的兒子 耶羅波安 所築的那壇，都拆毀焚燒，打碎成灰，並焚燒了 亞舍拉 。
16And as Josias turned himself, he saw there the sepulchres that were in the mount: and he sent and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burnt them upon the altar, and defiled it according to the word of the Lord, which the man of God spoke, who had foretold these things.
16約西亞 回頭，看見山上的墳墓，就打發人將墳墓裏的骸骨取出來，燒在壇上，污穢了壇，正如從前神人宣傳耶和華的話。
17And he said: What is that monument which I see? And the men of that city answered: It is the sepulchre of the man of God, who came from Juda, and foretold these things which thou hast done upon the altar of Bethel.
17約西亞 問說：「我所看見的是甚麼碑？」那城裏的人回答說：「先前有神人從 猶大 來，預先說王現在向 伯特利 壇所行的事，這就是他的墓碑。」
18And he said: Let him alone, let no man move his bones. So his bones were left untouched with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
18約西亞 說：「由他吧！不要挪移他的骸骨。」他們就不動他的骸骨，也不動從 撒馬利亞 來那先知的骸骨。
19Moreover all the temples of the high places, which were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord, Josias took away: and he did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.
19從前 以色列 諸王在 撒馬利亞 的城邑建築邱壇的殿，惹動 耶和華 的怒氣，現在 約西亞 都廢去了，就如他在 伯特利 所行的一般；
20And he slew all the priests of the high places, that were there, upon the altars: and he burnt men’s bones upon them: and returned to Jerusalem.
20又將邱壇的祭司都殺在壇上，並在壇上燒人的骨頭，就回 耶路撒冷 去了。
21And he commanded all the people, saying: Keep the phase to the Lord your God, according as it is written in the book of this covenant.
21王吩咐眾民說：「你們當照這約書上所寫的，向耶和華－你們的上帝守逾越節。」
22Now there was no such a phase kept from the days of the judges, who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, and of the kings of Juda,
22自從士師治理 以色列 人和 以色列 王、 猶大 王的時候， 直到如今 ，實在沒有守過這樣的逾越節；
23As was this phase that was kept to the Lord in Jerusalem, in the eighteenth year of king Josias.
23只有 約西亞 王十八年在 耶路撒冷 向耶和華守這逾越節。
24Moreover the diviners by spirits, and soothsayers, and the figures of idols, and the uncleannesses, and the abominations, that had been in the land of Juda, and Jerusalem, Josias took away: that he might perform the words of the law, that were written in the book which Helcias the priest had found in the temple of the Lord.
24凡 猶大 國和 耶路撒冷 所有交鬼的、行巫術的，與家中的神像和偶像，並一切可憎之物， 約西亞 盡都除掉，成就了祭司 希勒家 在耶和華殿裏所得律法書上所寫的話。
25There was no king before him like unto him, that returned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with ail his strength, according to all the law of Moses: neither after him did there arise any like him.
25在 約西亞 以前沒有王像他盡心、盡性、盡力地歸向耶和華，遵行 摩西 的一切律法；在他以後也沒有興起一個王像他。
26But yet the Lord turned not away from the wrath of his great indignation, wherewith his anger was kindled against Juda: because of the provocations, wherewith Manasses had provoked him.
26然而，耶和華向 猶大 所發猛烈的怒氣仍不止息，是因 瑪拿西 諸事惹動他。
27And the Lord said: I will remove Juda also from before my face, as I have removed Israel: and I will cast off this city Jerusalem, which I chose, and the house, of which I said: My name shall be there.
27耶和華說：「我必將 猶大 人從我面前趕出，如同趕出 以色列 人一般；我必棄掉我從前所選擇的這城－ 耶路撒冷 和我所說立我名的殿。」
28Now the rest of the acts of Josias, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
28約西亞 其餘的事，凡他所行的都寫在 猶大 列王記上。
29In his days Pharao Nechao king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josias went to meet him: and was slain at Mageddo, when he had seen him.
29約西亞 年間， 埃及 王法老 尼哥 上到 幼發拉底河 攻擊 亞述 王； 約西亞 王去抵擋他。 埃及 王遇見 約西亞 在 米吉多 ，就殺了他。
30And his servants carried him dead from Mageddo: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in Iris own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Joachaz the son of Josias: and they anointed him, and made him king in his father’s stead.
30他的臣僕用車將他的屍首從 米吉多 送到 耶路撒冷 ，葬在他自己的墳墓裏。國民膏 約西亞 的兒子 約哈斯 接續他父親作王。
31Joachaz was three and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Amital, the daughter of Jeremias of Lobna.
31約哈斯 登基的時候年二十三歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王三個月。他母親名叫 哈慕她 ，是 立拿 人 耶利米 的女兒。
32And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.
32約哈斯 行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他列祖一切所行的。
33And Pharao Nechao bound him at Rebla, which is in the land of Emath, that he should not reign in Jerusalem: and he set a fine upon the land, of a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.
33法老 尼哥 將 約哈斯 鎖禁在 哈馬 地的 利比拉 ，不許他在 耶路撒冷 作王，又罰 猶大 國銀子一百他連得，金子一他連得。
34And Pharao Nechao made Eliacim the son of Josias king in the room of Josias his father: and turned his name to Joakim. And he took Joachaz away and carried him into Egypt, and he died there.
34法老 尼哥 立 約西亞 的兒子 以利亞敬 接續他父親 約西亞 作王，給他改名叫 約雅敬 ，卻將 約哈斯 帶到 埃及 ，他就死在那裏。
35And Joakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharao, after he had taxed the land for every man, to contribute according to the commandment of Pharao: and he exacted both the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every man according to his ability: to give to Pharao Nechao.
35約雅敬 將金銀給法老，遵着法老的命向國民徵取金銀，按着各人的力量派定，索要金銀，好給法老 尼哥 。
36Joakim was five and twenty years old when he began to reign: and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Zebida the daughter of Phadaia of Ruma.
36約雅敬 登基的時候年二十五歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王十一年。他母親名叫 西布大 ，是 魯瑪 人 毗大雅 的女兒。
37And he did evil before the Lord according to all that his fathers had done.
37約雅敬 行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他列祖一切所行的。
