何西阿書 4

1以色列 人哪，你們當聽耶和華的話。 耶和華與這地的居民爭辯， 因這地上無誠實， 無良善，無人認識上帝。
1Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel! for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2但起 假 誓，不踐前言， 殺害，偷盜，姦淫，行強暴， 殺人流血，接連不斷。
2Swearing and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery! they break all bounds, and blood toucheth blood.
3因此，這地悲哀， 其上的民、田野的獸、 空中的鳥必都衰微， 海中的魚也必消滅。
3Therefore doth the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein doth languish, with the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also are taken away.
4然而，人都不必爭辯，也不必指責， 因為這民與抗拒祭司的人一樣。
4Yet let no man strive, neither let any man reprove; for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
5你這祭司必日間跌倒； 先知也必夜間與你一同跌倒； 我必滅絕你的母親。
5Therefore shalt thou stumble in the day, and the prophet also shall stumble with thee in the night; and I will destroy thy mother.
6我的民因無知識而滅亡。 你棄掉知識， 我也必棄掉你， 使你不再給我作祭司。 你既忘了你上帝的律法， 我也必忘記你的兒女。
6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.
7祭司越發增多，就越發得罪我； 我必使他們的榮耀變為羞辱。
7The more they were increased, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
8他們吃我民的 贖 罪 祭 ， 滿心願意我民犯罪。
8They feed on the sin of My people, and set their heart on their iniquity.
9將來民如何， 祭司也必如何； 我必因他們所行的懲罰他們， 照他們所做的報應他們。
9And it is like people, like priest; and I will punish him for his ways, and will recompense him his doings.
10他們吃，卻不得飽； 行淫，而不得立後； 因為他們離棄耶和華， 不遵 他的命 。
10And they shall eat, and not have enough, they shall commit harlotry, and shall not increase; because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
11姦淫和酒，並新酒， 奪去人的心。
11Harlotry, wine, and new wine take away the heart.
12我的民求問木偶， 以為木杖能指示他們； 因為他們的淫心使他們失迷， 他們就行淫離棄上帝， 不守約束，
12My people ask counsel at their stock, and their staff declareth unto them; for the spirit of harlotry hath caused them to err, and they have gone astray from under their God.
13在各山頂，各高岡的橡樹、 楊樹、栗樹之下，獻祭燒香， 因為樹影美好。 所以，你們的女兒淫亂， 你們的新婦行淫。
13They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and offer upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because the shadow thereof is good; therefore your daughters commit harlotry, and your daughters-in-law commit adultery.
14你們的女兒淫亂， 你們的新婦行淫， 我卻不懲罰她們； 因為你們自己離群與娼妓同居， 與妓女一同獻祭。 這無知的民必致傾倒。
14I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery; for they themselves consort with lewd women, and they sacrifice with harlots; and the people that is without understanding is distraught.
15以色列 啊，你雖然行淫， 猶大 卻不可犯罪。 不要往 吉甲 去， 不要上到 伯‧亞文 ， 也不要指着永生的耶和華起誓。
15Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah become guilty; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth-aven, nor swear: 'As the LORD liveth.'
16以色列 倔強， 猶如倔強的母牛； 現在耶和華要放他們， 如同放羊羔在寬闊之地。
16For Israel is stubborn like a stubborn heifer; now shall the LORD feed them as a lamb in a large place?
17以法蓮 親近偶像， 任憑他吧！
17Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone.
18他們所喝的已經發酸， 他們時常行淫， 他們的官長最愛羞恥的事。
18When their carouse is over, they take to harlotry; her rulers deeply love dishonour.
19風把他們裹在翅膀裏； 他們因所獻的祭必致蒙羞。
19The wind hath bound her up in her skirts; and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
