1属 约瑟 的儿子 玛拿西 的各族，有 玛拿西 的玄孙， 玛吉 的曾孙， 基列 的孙子， 希弗 的儿子 西罗非哈 的女儿，名叫 玛拉 、 挪阿 、 曷拉 、 密迦 、 得撒 。她们前来，
1Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2站在会幕门口，在 摩西 和祭司 以利亚撒 ，并众首领与全会众面前，说：
2And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the tent of meeting, saying:
3「我们的父亲死在旷野。他不与 可拉 同党聚集攻击耶和华，是在自己罪中死的；他也没有儿子。
3'Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.
4为什么因我们的父亲没有儿子就把他的名从他族中除掉呢？求你们在我们父亲的弟兄中分给我们产业。」
4Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he had no son? Give unto us a possession among the brethren of our father.'
5于是， 摩西 将她们的案件呈到耶和华面前。
5And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.
6耶和华晓谕 摩西 说：
6And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
7「 西罗非哈 的女儿说得有理。你定要在她们父亲的弟兄中，把地分给她们为业；要将她们父亲的产业归给她们。
7'The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
8你也要晓谕 以色列 人说：『人若死了没有儿子，就要把他的产业归给他的女儿。
8And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying: If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
9他若没有女儿，就要把他的产业给他的弟兄。
9And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
10他若没有弟兄，就要把他的产业给他父亲的弟兄。
10And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren.
11他父亲若没有弟兄，就要把他的产业给他族中最近的亲属，他便要得为业。』这要作 以色列 人的律例典章，是照耶和华吩咐 摩西 的。」
11And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. And it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.'
12耶和华对 摩西 说：「你上这 亚巴琳山 ，观看我所赐给 以色列 人的地。
12And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
13看了以后，你也必归到你列祖那里，像你哥哥 亚伦 一样。
13And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered;
14因为你们在 寻 的旷野，当会众争闹的时候，违背了我的命，没有在 涌 水之地、会众眼前尊我为圣。」（这水就是 寻 的旷野 加低斯米利巴 水。）
14because ye rebelled against My commandment in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes.' — These are the waters of Meribath-kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. —
15摩西 对耶和华说：
15And Moses spoke unto the LORD, saying:
16「愿耶和华万人之灵的 神，立一个人治理会众，
16'Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
17可以在他们面前出入，也可以引导他们，免得耶和华的会众如同没有牧人的羊群一般。」
17who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.'
18耶和华对 摩西 说：「 嫩 的儿子 约书亚 是心中有 圣 灵的；你将他领来，按手在他 头 上，
18And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is spirit, and lay thy hand upon him;
19使他站在祭司 以利亚撒 和全会众面前，嘱咐他，
19and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
20又将你的尊荣给他几分，使 以色列 全会众都听从他。
20And thou shalt put of thy honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may hearken.
21他要站在祭司 以利亚撒 面前； 以利亚撒 要凭乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问。他和 以色列 全会众都要遵 以利亚撒 的命出入。」
21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD; at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.'
22于是 摩西 照耶和华所吩咐的将 约书亚 领来，使他站在祭司 以利亚撒 和全会众面前，
22And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation.
23按手在他 头 上，嘱咐他，是照耶和华借 摩西 所说的话。
23And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD spoke by the hand of Moses.
