1巴兰 见耶和华喜欢赐福与 以色列 ，就不像前两次去求法术，却面向旷野。
1And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at the other times, to meet with enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2巴兰 举目，看见 以色列 人照着支派居住。 神的灵就临到他身上，
2And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling tribe by tribe; and the spirit of God came upon him.
3他便题起诗歌说： 比珥 的儿子 巴兰 说， 眼目闭住的人说，
3And he took up his parable, and said: The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eye is opened;
4得听 神的言语， 得见全能者的异象， 眼目睁开而仆倒的人说：
4The saying of him who heareth the words of God, who seeth the vision of the Almighty, fallen down, yet with opened eyes:
5雅各 啊，你的帐棚何等华美！ 以色列 啊，你的帐幕何其华丽！
5How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, thy dwellings, O Israel!
6如接连的山谷， 如河旁的园子， 如耶和华所栽的沉香树， 如水边的香柏木。
6As valleys stretched out, as gardens by the river-side; as aloes planted of the LORD, as cedars beside the waters;
7水要从他的桶里流出； 种子要撒在多水之处。 他的王必超过 亚甲 ； 他的国必要振兴。
7Water shall flow from his branches, and his seed shall be in many waters; and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
8神领他出 埃及 ； 他似乎有野牛之力。 他要吞吃敌国， 折断他们的骨头， 用箭射透他们。
8God who brought him forth out of Egypt is for him like the lofty horns of the wild-ox; he shall eat up the nations that are his adversaries, and shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them through with his arrows.
9他蹲如公狮， 卧如母狮，谁敢惹他？ 凡给你祝福的，愿他蒙福； 凡咒诅你的，愿他受咒诅。
9He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a lioness; who shall rouse him up? Blessed be every one that blesseth thee, and cursed be every one that curseth thee.
10巴勒 向 巴兰 生气，就拍起手来，对 巴兰 说：「我召你来为我咒诅仇敌，不料，你这三次竟为他们祝福。
10And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together; and Balak said unto Balaam: 'I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
11如今你快回本地去吧！我想使你得大尊荣，耶和华却阻止你不得尊荣。」
11Therefore now flee thou to thy place; I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.'
12巴兰 对 巴勒 说：「我岂不是对你所差遣到我那里的使者说：
12And Balaam said unto Balak: 'Spoke I not also to thy messengers that thou didst send unto me, saying:
13『 巴勒 就是将他满屋的金银给我，我也不得越过耶和华的命，凭自己的心意行好行歹。耶和华说什么，我就要说什么』？」
13If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; what the LORD speaketh, that will I speak?
14「现在我要回本族去。你来，我告诉你这民日后要怎样待你的民。」
14And now, behold, I go unto my people; come, and I will announce to thee what this people shall do to thy people in the end of days.'
15他就题起诗歌说： 比珥 的儿子 巴兰 说： 眼目闭住的人说，
15And he took up his parable, and said: The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eye is opened;
16得听 神的言语， 明白至高者的意旨， 看见全能者的异象， 眼目睁开而仆倒的人说：
16The saying of him who heareth the words of God, and knoweth the knowledge of the Most High, who seeth the vision of the Almighty, fallen down, yet with opened eyes:
17我看他却不在现时； 我望他却不在近日。 有星要出于 雅各 ，有杖要兴于 以色列 ， 必打破 摩押 的四角，毁坏扰乱之子。
17I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not nigh; there shall step forth a star out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite through the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Seth.
18他必得 以东 为基业， 又得仇敌之地 西珥 为产业； 以色列 必行事勇敢。
18And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also, even his enemies, shall be a possession; while Israel doeth valiantly.
19有一位出于 雅各 的，必掌大权； 他要除灭城中的余民。
19And out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.
20巴兰 观看 亚玛力 ，就题起诗歌说： 亚玛力 原为诸国之首， 但他终必沉沦。
20And he looked on Amalek, and took up his parable, and said: Amalek was the first of the nations; but his end shall come to destruction.
21巴兰 观看 基尼 人，就题起诗歌说： 你的住处本是坚固； 你的窝巢做在岩穴中。
21And he looked on the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said: Though firm be thy dwelling-place, and though thy nest be set in the rock;
22然而 基尼 必至衰微， 直到 亚述 把你掳去。
22Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted; How long? Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
23巴兰 又题起诗歌说： 哀哉！ 神行这事，谁能得活？
23And he took up his parable, and said: Alas, who shall live after God hath appointed him?
24必有人乘船从 基提 界 而来 ， 苦害 亚述 ，苦害 希伯 ； 他也必至沉沦。
24But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim, and they shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall come to destruction.
25于是 巴兰 起来，回他本地去； 巴勒 也回去了。
25And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place; and Balak also went his way.
