1Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!
1Venez, chantons avec allégresse à l’Éternel! Poussons des cris de joie vers le rocher de notre salut.
2Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.
2Allons au-devant de lui avec des louanges, Faisons retentir des cantiques en son honneur!
3For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.
3Car l’Éternel est un grand Dieu, Il est un grand roi au-dessus de tous les dieux.
4In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him.
4Il tient dans sa main les profondeurs de la terre, Et les sommets des montagnes sont à lui.
5The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
5La mer est à lui, c’est lui qui l’a faite; La terre aussi, ses mains l’ont formée.
6O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
6Venez, prosternons-nous et humilions-nous, Fléchissons le genou devant l’Éternel, notre créateur!
7For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,
7Car il est notre Dieu, Et nous sommes le peuple de son pâturage, Le troupeau que sa main conduit… Oh! Si vous pouviez écouter aujourd’hui sa voix!
8do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, in the day at Massah in the wilderness,
8N’endurcissez pas votre cœur, comme à Meriba, Comme à la journée de Massa, dans le désert,
9where your fathers tested and tried Me, though they had seen My work.
9Où vos pères me tentèrent, M’éprouvèrent, quoiqu’ils vissent mes œuvres.
10For forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known My ways.”
10Pendant quarante ans j’eus cette race en dégoût, Et je dis: C’est un peuple dont le cœur est égaré; Ils ne connaissent pas mes voies.
11So I swore on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter My rest.”
11Aussi je jurai dans ma colère: Ils n’entreront pas dans mon repos!
