1Rejoice in the LORD, O righteous ones; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.
1Alegrem-se no SENHOR, ó justos! O louvor convém aos retos.
2Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings.
2Deem graças ao SENHOR com a lira. Cantem louvores a ele com a harpa de dez cordas.
3Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
3Cantem a ele um cântico novo. Toquem com habilidade e com gritos de alegria!
4For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy.
4Pois a palavra do SENHOR é reta. Toda a sua obra é feita com fidelidade.
5The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.
5Ele ama a justiça e o direito. A terra está cheia da bondade do SENHOR.
6By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth.
6Pela palavra do SENHOR os céus foram feitos; e todo o seu exército, pelo sopro da sua boca.
7He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses.
7Ele ajunta as águas do mar como num monte; ele guarda as profundezas em depósitos.
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him.
8Que toda a terra tema ao SENHOR. Que todos os habitantes do mundo o reverenciem.
9For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.
9Pois ele falou, e tudo foi feito. Ele ordenou, e tudo se firmou.
10The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples.
10O SENHOR reduz a nada o conselho das nações; ele frustra os pensamentos dos povos.
11The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations.
11O conselho do SENHOR permanece para sempre, os pensamentos do seu coração, por todas as gerações.
12Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance!
12Bem-aventurada a nação cujo Deus é o SENHOR, o povo que ele escolheu para sua própria herança.
13The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
13O SENHOR olha dos céus. Ele vê todos os filhos dos homens.
14From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
14Do lugar da sua habitação, ele observa todos os habitantes da terra;
15He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works.
15ele, que forma o coração de todos eles; e que atenta para todas as suas obras.
16No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength.
16Nenhum rei é salvo pela multidão de um exército. Um valente não é liberto pela sua grande força.
17A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save.
17O cavalo é uma vã esperança de segurança; e com a sua grande força não pode livrar ninguém.
18Surely the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion
18Eis que os olhos do SENHOR estão sobre os que o temem, sobre os que esperam na sua bondade,
19to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
19para livrar a alma deles da morte, e para mantê-los vivos na fome.
20Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
20A nossa alma tem esperado no SENHOR. Ele é o nosso auxílio e o nosso escudo.
21For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name.
21Pois nele se alegra o nosso coração, porque temos confiado no seu santo nome.
22May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, as we put our hope in You.
22Que a tua bondade esteja sobre nós, SENHOR, visto que temos esperado em ti.
