1Then the LORD said to Moses,
1וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
2“Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:
2צו את בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם באים אל הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה׃
3Your southern border will extend from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern border will run from the end of the Salt Sea,
3והיה לכם פאת נגב ממדבר צן על ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים המלח קדמה׃
4cross south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and go south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it will go on to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon,
4ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה תוצאתיו מנגב לקדש ברנע ויצא חצר אדר ועבר עצמנה׃
5where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea.
5ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה׃
6Your western border will be the coastline of the Great Sea; this will be your boundary on the west.
6וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה יהיה לכם גבול ים׃
7Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,
7וזה יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר׃
8and from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, then extend to Zedad,
8מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה׃
9continue to Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
9ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה יהיה לכם גבול צפון׃
10And your eastern border will run straight from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
10והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שפמה׃
11then go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth.
11וירד הגבל משפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבול ומחה על כתף ים כנרת קדמה׃
12Then the border will go down along the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land, defined by its borders on all sides.”
12וירד הגבול הירדנה והיו תוצאתיו ים המלח זאת תהיה לכם הארץ לגבלתיה סביב׃
13So Moses commanded the Israelites, “Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be given to the nine and a half tribes.
13ויצו משה את בני ישראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשר צוה יהוה לתת לתשעת המטות וחצי המטה׃
14For the tribes of the Reubenites and Gadites, along with the half-tribe of Manasseh, have already received their inheritance.
14כי לקחו מטה בני הראובני לבית אבתם ומטה בני הגדי לבית אבתם וחצי מטה מנשה לקחו נחלתם׃
15These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
15שני המטות וחצי המטה לקחו נחלתם מעבר לירדן ירחו קדמה מזרחה׃
16Then the LORD said to Moses,
16וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
17“These are the names of the men who are to assign the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
17אלה שמות האנשים אשר ינחלו לכם את הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושע בן נון׃
18Appoint one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.
18ונשיא אחד נשיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את הארץ׃
19These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;
19ואלה שמות האנשים למטה יהודה כלב בן יפנה׃
20Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon;
20ולמטה בני שמעון שמואל בן עמיהוד׃
21Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;
21למטה בנימן אלידד בן כסלון׃
22Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan;
22ולמטה בני דן נשיא בקי בן יגלי׃
23Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;
23לבני יוסף למטה בני מנשה נשיא חניאל בן אפד׃
24Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;
24ולמטה בני אפרים נשיא קמואל בן שפטן׃
25Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;
25ולמטה בני זבולן נשיא אליצפן בן פרנך׃
26Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;
26ולמטה בני יששכר נשיא פלטיאל בן עזן׃
27Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;
27ולמטה בני אשר נשיא אחיהוד בן שלמי׃
28and Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”
28ולמטה בני נפתלי נשיא פדהאל בן עמיהוד׃
29These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to apportion the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
29אלה אשר צוה יהוה לנחל את בני ישראל בארץ כנען׃
