1Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in his commandments.
1ALLELUIA, Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore, E si diletta sommamente ne' suoi comandamenti.
2His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.
2La sua progenie sarà possente in terra; La generazione degli uomini diritti sarà benedetta.
3Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.
3Facoltà e ricchezze son nella sua casa, E la sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo.
4Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.
4La luce si leva nelle tenebre a quelli che son diritti. Un tale uomo è pietoso, misericordioso, e giusto.
5It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.
5L'uomo da bene dona, e presta; E governa i fatti suoi con dirittura.
6For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
6Certo egli non sarà giammai smosso; Il giusto sarà in memoria perpetua.
7He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
7Egli non temerà di mal grido; Il suo cuore è fermo, egli si confida nel Signore.
8His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.
8Il suo cuore è bene appoggiato, egli non avrà paura alcuna, Finchè vegga ne' suoi nemici ciò ch'egli desidera .
9He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.
9Egli ha sparso, egli ha donato a' bisognosi; La sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo, Il suo corno sarà alzato in gloria.
10The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
10L'empio lo vedrà, e dispetterà; Egli digrignerà i denti, e si struggerà; Il desiderio degli empi perirà.
