1Возвеселиться пустиня й суха земля, возрадуєсь країна безлюдна й зацьвіте нарцизом;
1The wilderness and the parched land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2Велично цьвісти ме й радїте, буде веселитись-сьпівати; красота Ливану буде їй дана, роскіш Кармеля й Сарону.
2It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God.
3Підкріпляйте овялі руки, додавайте сили колїнам хитливим;
3Strengthen ye the weak hands, and make firm the tottering knees.
4Скажіте млявим на душі: будьте мужні, не бійтеся; ось Бог ваш; прийде пімста, відплата від Бога; він прийде спасти вас.
4Say to them that are of a fearful heart: 'Be strong, fear not'; behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God He will come and save you.
5Тодї прозрять очі в слїпих, і уші в глухих відтворяться.
5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6Тодї хромий підскочить, як олень, а язик в нїмого піснею озветься; бо проторгнуться в пустинї води, й в степу — потоки.
6Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7І обернеться безвіддє в озеро, а земля прагнуща — в джерела водні; на леговищах шакалів, де вони спочивали, буде рогіз та сїтник зеленїти.
7And the parched land shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the habitation of jackals herds shall lie down, it shall be an enclosure for reeds and rushes.
8І постане там дорога, а тая дорога назветься дорогою сьвятою; не ходити ме шляхом тим нї один нечистий, — він їм одним буде служити; хто ходити ме тим шляхом, той не зблукаєсь, хоча б і як був недоумний.
8And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those; the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein.
9Лева там не буде, нї зьвір хижий на його не ступить; нї, він там не знайдеться; ходити ним будуть — самі лиш спасені.
9No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon, they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there;
10Вернуться визволені Господом; із радісними піснями прийдуть на Сион; і радість вічна буде над головою в їх; радощі й веселощі знайдуть вони, а смуток і воздиханнє від них віддаляться.
10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
