1KADEKADEO pon ria pon mon paja o kamadip en prot, jomut, Jamero lapalap akan n jaunkawewe kan jojon duen widinadi i kamatala.
1Now the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were two days away, and the chief priests and scribes were looking for a covert way to arrest Jesus and kill Him.
2Pwe irail inda: Iermen ni ran en kamadip, pwe de kamoroada aramaj akan.
2“But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
3Ari, ni a kotikot Petanien nan im en Jimon tuketuk, ni a kotin kaipokedi ni tepel, li amen ap potodo, wa kijin kopa ala pajta audaud en men kei, inen en pil en narde, me kajampwal. A ap kawela kopa o keiedi on tapwi.
3While Jesus was in Bethany reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke open the jar and poured it on Jesus’ head.
4Akai re irail ap juedeki, monemoneloleki: Menda men kei wet ola mal?
4Some of those present, however, expressed their indignation to one another: “Why this waste of perfume?
5Pwe a pan netila kareda laude jan denar jilipuki, ap pan ko on me jamama. Re ap lipelipanede li o.
5It could have been sold for over three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor.” And they scolded her.
6Iejuj ap kotin majani: Komail ko jan! Menda komail kainjenjued i? Dok mau on ia, me a wiada et.
6But Jesus said, “Leave her alone; why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful deed to Me.
7Pwe jamama kin mi re omail anjau karoj. Ari, anjau me komail mauki, komail kak kadek on. A nai jota kin ieian komail anjau karoj.
7The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them whenever you want. But you will not always have Me.
8A wiaer me a kak on. A kanopedier a keie war ai ni jaredi.
8She has done what she could to anoint My body in advance of My burial.
9Melel I indai on komail: Waja karoj me ronamau wet pan kalok ia panada jappa u, re pil pan lokolokaia duen me a wiadar, pwen katamanpa.
9And truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
10Iudaj Ijkariot, amen ekriamen oko, ap kolan ren jamero lapalap akan, pwen pan on irail i.
10Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.
11Irail lao ron, re ap peren kida, ap inauki, me re pan ki on moni. I ari jon duen a pan monai on en panala i,
11They were delighted to hear this, and they promised to give him money. So Judas began to look for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
12Ni kaieu en ran en prot jomut, ni ar kin kamela jippul en paja, japwilim a tounpadak kan ap potoan on i: Ia waja re kotin men, jen potolan kaonopada, pwe re en kotin konot paja?
12On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed, Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
13A ap kotin poronela japwilim a tounpadak riamen majani on ira: Koma ko on nan kanim o; aramaj amen ap pan tu on komail, wa men deun pil eu. Idauen i!
13So He sent two of His disciples and told them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him,
14Waja a pan pedelon on, koma indai on kaun en im: Jaunpadak o majani, ia pera en men kairu kan, waja me I pan tunole paja ia ian ai tounpadak kan?
14and whichever house he enters, say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is My guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’
15A ap pan kajale on koma pera laud poa kajonjoner o onoper. lei waja koma onop on kitail.
15And he will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.”
16Japwilim a tounpadak kan ap kola, lei don kanim o, o diaradar duen me a kotin majani on ira ko; ira ari kaonopada paja.
16So the disciples left and went into the city, where they found everything as Jesus had described. And they prepared the Passover.
17A lao jautik penaer, a ap kotido ian ekriamen ko.
17When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve.
18A ni arail kotidi ni tepel konokonot, Iejuj ap kotin majani: Melel I indai on komail, amen komail me ian ia manamana et, pan pan ia la.
18And while they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, one of you who is eating with Me will betray Me.”
19Re ap tapiada injenola ap potoan on i amen amen: Nai i? A pil amen inda: Nai i?
19They began to be grieved and to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I?”
20A ap kotin japen majani on irail: Amen ekriamen oko me ian ia kadukadu nan dal et.
20He answered, “It is one of the Twelve—the one who is dipping his hand into the bowl with Me.
21Ari jo, Nain aramaj kokola duen a intinidi on er; o non juede on aramaj o, me Nain aramaj panpanala re a. Me mau on, ma aramaj men et jota ipwidi.
21The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
22Ari, ni arail konokonot, Iejuj ap kotikida prot o laolaoki, ap pilitiki pajan kotiki on irail majani: Ale, tunole! War ai metet,
22While they were eating, Jesus took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take it; this is My body.”
23A ap kotikida dal o murin a kotin laolaoki; a ap kotiki on irail; irail karoj ap nim.
23Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
24A ap kotin majani on irail: Nt’ ai metet, ntan inau kap, me kapwilipwilikidi me toto.
24He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
25Melel I indai on komail, I jolar pan nim jan wan wain, lao ran en ai pil pan nim nan wein Kot.
25Truly I tell you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God.”
26Murin arail kauleki kaul pot, re ap kotilan dol Oliwe.
26And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
27Iejuj ap kotin majani on irail: Komail karoj pan makarada; pwe a intinidi: I pan kame jilepa, ari pwin jip ap pan mui pajan.
27Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’
28A murin ai pan maurla, I pan tion wei mo ’mail ow Kalilaa.
28But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
29A Petruj potoan on i: Karujia pan makar kila, a nai jo.
29Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I never will.”
30Iejuj ap kotin majani on i Melel I indai on uk, ran wet, ponpon wet, mon malek a pan kakorot pan riapak, koe pan kamam kin ia pan jilipak.
30“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”
31I ari kalaudela a japen: Ma I ian komui matala i jota pan man kamam kin komui. Irail karoj pil inda dueta.
31But Peter kept insisting, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the others said the same thing.
32Irail ap kotilan waja, me ad a Ketjemane, a ap kotin majani on japwilim a tounpadak kan: Komail mondi on met, ni ai pan wia kapakap.
32Then they came to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus told His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”
33A ap kotin ukada Pelrnj, ti Iakopuj, o Ioanej, ap knlln laualoda kaualap o pataulu,
33He took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be deeply troubled and distressed.
34A ap kotin majani on irail Nen i ap injenjuedela kaualap on mela. Komail mimi met o majamajan.
34Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”
35A ap kotila ekij, ap pupedi on nan pwel, ap laolaoki, ma a kak auer en dauliela.
35Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him.
36A ap kotin majani: Apa Jam ai, meakaroj me kak pa omui! Kotikiwei jan ia dal wet! Ari jo, kaidik me I men, a me komui men.
36“Abba, Father,” He said, “all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.”
37I ari kotido diar ir maimair, ap kotin majani on Petruj: Jimon koe men mair, koe jota kak majamajan auer eu?!
37Then Jesus returned and found them sleeping. “Simon, are you asleep?” He asked. “Were you not able to keep watch for one hour?
38Komail majamajan o kapakap, pwe komail de ko on nan jonojon. Nen me okok, a uduk me luet.
38Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
39A ap pil kotila o laolao pil majani majan ko ota.
39Again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.
40A ni a kotin japaledo, pil diar ar mamair, pwe majarail me toutou; irail jaja, me re en japenki.
40And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping—for their eyes were heavy. And they did not know what to answer Him.
41A ap kotido ni kajilepak, majani on irail: Komail kananata omail mair en o kamola? Arier, auer leler! Kilan, Nain aramaj panapanalaner ni pa en me dipan akan!
41When Jesus returned the third time, He said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42Paurida! Kitail kokola! Kilan, me pan ia la me korendor.
42Rise, let us go. See, My betrayer is approaching!”
43Madan ni a kotin mamajan, ari, ludaj kodo, amen ekriamen oko; pokon kalaimunia eu ian, wado kodlaj o jokon, kodo jan ren jamero lapalap akan o jaunkawewe kan o jaumaj akan.
43While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, scribes, and elders.
44A me panala i, ki on irail kilel eu inda: Meamen i metik, iei i. Ale, kaluawei, kanai on!
44Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him and lead Him away securely.”
45A pwarado eta ap madan inen don Iejuj inda: Rapi, Rapi, ap metik i.
45Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
46Irail ari por pena on ale.
46Then the men seized Jesus and arrested Him.
47Amen ir, me u waja o, ujada na kodlaj, ap pale ladu en jamero lapalap amen, ap lepuka jan jalon a.
47And one of the bystanders drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
48Iejuj ap kotin japen majani on irail: Komail ko don ia due lipirap amen, wado kodlaj o jokon, pwen koledi ia.
48Jesus asked the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would an outlaw?
49I kin ieian komail ta ran karoj nan im en kaudok o kaukawewe. A komail jota ale ia. A pwe kijin likau kan en punala.
49Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest Me. But this has happened that the Scriptures would be fulfilled.”
50Irail karoj ap pededi, tana jan.
50Then everyone deserted Him and fled.
51Manakap amen ap idauen i, pineki pena war a likau linen kajelel eu. Manakap akai ap parokidi.
51One young man who had been following Jesus was wearing a linen cloth around his body. They caught hold of him,
52I ari kajela a likau linen kajelel o, ap jopola kilijo.
52but he pulled free of the linen cloth and ran away naked.
53Re ap kalualan Iejuj ren jamero lapalap o. Jamero lapalap akan, o jaumaj akan, o jaunkawewe kan, karoj pokon don re a.
53They led Jesus away to the high priest, and all the chief priests, elders, and scribes assembled.

54Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. And he sat with the officers and warmed himself by the fire.
55Jamero lapalap akan o pwin en kadeik roporop kadede, pwen kine on Iejuj, pwen kamela. Ari, jota me re diar.
55Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but they did not find any.
56Pwe me to to me kine on i mal. Ari, ar kinakin jota dupeneta.
56For many bore false witness against Jesus, but their testimony was inconsistent.
57Akai uda, kine on i mal inda:
57Then some men stood up and testified falsely against Him:
58Je ron, a inda: I pan kawela im en kaudok wet, me pa wiadar, ap id kauada eu ni ran jilu, me jota pa wiada.
58“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this man-made temple, and in three days I will build another that is made without hands.’”
59Ari, ar kinekin jota pil kon pena.
59But even their testimony was inconsistent.
60Jamero lapalap ap kajinenda nan pun ar ap idok ren Iejuj, majani: Kom jota japenki meakot, me mepukat kine on komui?
60So the high priest stood up before them and questioned Jesus, “Have You no answer? What are these men testifying against You?”
61A a kotin nenenlata, jota japen. Jamero lapalap ap pil idok majani on i: Komui Krijtuj japwilim en men Kapin kaualap?
61But Jesus remained silent and made no reply. Again the high priest questioned Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”
62Iejuj ap kotin majani: Nai i! Komail pan kilan Nain aramaj a kaipokedi ni pali maun en me rojon o kokido dapok en lan.
62“I am,” said Jesus, “and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
63Jamero lapalap ap ter pajan a likau ap inda: Menda re atail pil eu kinakin?
63At this, the high priest tore his clothes and declared, “Why do we need any more witnesses?
64Komail roner a lalaue. Da me komail lamelame? A irail karoj ap kadeikada, me a war on kamela.
64You have heard the blasphemy. What is your verdict?” And they all condemned Him as deserving of death.
65Akai tapi on kondipi on i o pwaindi jilan i, ap pikir, ap indai on i: Kopada! Papa ko pil pikir i.
65Then some of them began to spit on Him. They blindfolded Him, struck Him with their fists, and said to Him, “Prophesy!” And the officers received Him with slaps in His face.
66Ni en Petruj a mimi panakepir en tanpaj, lidu en jamero lapalap amen ap kodo.
66While Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the servant girls of the high priest came down
67Ni a kilan Petruj a wiawia raneran, a ap kankakil i o ari, inda: Koe me pil ian Iejuj, men Najaret!
67and saw him warming himself there. She looked at Peter and said, “You also were with Jesus the Nazarene.”
68A a kamama kida inda: I jaja. I pil jota dedeki, me koe indinda en! I ari koieilan nan katipar; malek ap kakorot.
68But he denied it. “I do not know or even understand what you are talking about,” he said. Then he went out to the gateway, and the rooster crowed.
69A lidu lao kilan i, ap pil indan irail, me mimi waja o: Amen irail met et.
69There the servant girl saw him and again said to those standing nearby, “This man is one of them.”
70A ap pil kamama kida. Mur ekij irail me u impa ko; pil indan Petruj: Melel me amen irail koe, pwe koe pil men Kalilaa amen.
70But he denied it again. After a little while, those standing nearby said once more to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you too are a Galilean.”
71I ari lalaue o kaula: I jaja aramaj men et, me komail indinda en!
71But he began to curse and swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak!”
72Ap kariapak en malek a kakorot. Petruj ap tamanda en Iejuj a kotin majani on i: Mon malek a pan kakorot pan riapak, koe pan kamam kin ia pan jilipak; ni a lamelamela a ap janejan.
72And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he broke down and wept.
