Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
Berean Standard Bible
1PAULUJ me paeker, en wiala wanporon en Iejuj Krijtuj amen pan kupur en Kot o ri atail Jojtenej,
1Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2On momodijou en Kot me mi Korint, me jaraui kila Krijtuj Iejuj, me paeker en jaraui o karoj me kin likwir on mar en atail Kaun Iejuj Krijtuj ni deu arail o deu at.
2To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
3Mak o popol jan ren Kot Jam atail a atail Kaun Iejuj Krijtuj en mi re omail!
3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4I kin danke ai Kot kaukaule pweki mak en Kot on komail, me papana don komail jan ren Krijtuj Iejuj,
4I always thank my God for you because of the grace He has given you in Christ Jesus.
5Pwe komail me pai kidar i ni meakaroj, ni majan karoj o lolekon karoj;
5For in Him you have been enriched in every way, in all speech and all knowledge,
6Duen kadede iran Krijtuj a teniten re omail;
6because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
7Pwe jota pai en mak eu, me komail jaik pai kidar; ni omail auiaui kajanjal en atail Kaun Iejuj Krijtuj.
7Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8Me pil pan kotin kajone komail di lao lel imwi, pwe en jolar dip omail lao lel ni ran en atail Kaun Iejuj Krijtuj.
8He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9Kot me melel, me komail paekerdo, pwen jau pena ren japwilim a Ol Iejuj Krijtuj atail Kaun.
9God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
10I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction.
11Ri ai kan a kalok don ia jan toun im en Kloe, me dene komail kin akamai pena nan pun omail.
11My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
12A iet me i men inda, amen komail kin inda: Nai nain Pauluj amen; a nai nain Apoloj amen; a nai nain Kepaj amen; a nai nain Krijtuj amen.
12What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.”
13Iaduen, Krijtuj me lop pajan? Iaduen, Pauluj me lopu kin komail er? De komail paptaijekier ni mar en Pauluj?
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14Nai me danke Kot, me jota meamen re omail, me i paptaijela, Krijpuj eta o Kaiuj;
14I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15Pwe amen de inda, me nai wia paptaije on ni pein ad ai.
15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
16A toun im en Jtepanaj i pil paptaijela; a jolar me i aja, me i paptaijela.
16Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that I do not remember if I baptized anyone else.
17Pwe kaidin en wia paptaij, me Krijtuj poron kin ia la, a pwen padaki ronamau, kaidin ni tiak kadek lokaia, pwe lopun Krijtuj de mal la.
17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
18Pwe majan duen lopu me mal kot ren me lokidokilar akan, a manaman en Kot on ir, me pan dorela.
18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19Pwe a intinidier: I pan tiakedi lolekon en me lolekonkan, o karotonala marain en me marain akan.
19For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
20Ia me lolekon o? O ia jaunkawewe o? Ia me lolekon o en pali pa? Dadue, Kot jota wia lamponki me erpit en pali pa?
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21Aramaj akan jota aja Kot pweki udan ar lolekon. Kot ap kupureda, en kamaur kida, me pojon akan padak monai.
21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22Pwe Juj akan kin poeki kilel akan, a men Krik kin roporop lolekon.
22Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom,
23A kit kin padaki Krijtuj me lopuedar, men kamakar on Juj akan o on men liki kan kajoi mal.
23but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24A on me paeker akan, men Juj o pil men Krik, je kaweweda Krijtuj manaman en Kot o erpit en Kot.
24but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25Pwe joerpit en Kot me jikida jan en aramaj akan ar lolekon, o luet en Kot me kelail jan en aramaj akan ar kelail.
25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
26Ri ai kan, komail kilan duen omail paeker. Pwe kaidin me toto ren me lolekon en pali uduk kan. Pil kaidin me toto ren me poe kan, pil kaidin toto ren me majamaj akan, me pilipildar.
26Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth.
27A Kot kotin piladar me jo lolekon nin jappa, pwen kapoui ala me lolekon kan; o Kot me kotin piladar me luet nin jappa kan, pwen kapouiala me kelail akan.
27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28O me mal nin jappa, o me jo konekon, i me Kot kotin piladar, o me jota meakot, pwen kawela me lapalap.
28He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are,
29Pwe uduk der akjuaiki mon Kot.
29so that no one may boast in His presence.
30A komail tapi jan i ren Krijtuj Iejuj, me wialar atail erpit jan ren Kot, o pun, o jaraui, o maur patail.
30It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
31Pwe duen a intinidier: Mo men juaiki, i en juaiki Kaun o.
31Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
