1و خداوند موسی و هارون را خطاب کرده، به ایشان گفت:
1And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2«بنی‌اسرائیل راخطاب کرده، بگویید: اینها حیواناتی هستند که می‌باید بخورید، از همه بهایمی که بر روی زمین‌اند.
2Say to the children of Israel: These are the animals which you are to eat of all the living things of the earth.
3هر شکافته سم که شکاف تمام دارد ونشخوار کننده‌ای از بهایم، آن را بخورید.
3Whatsoever hath the hoof divided, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, you shall eat.
4اما ازنشخوارکنندگان و شکافتگان سم اینها رامخورید، یعنی شتر، زیرا نشخوار می‌کند لیکن شکافته سم نیست، آن برای شما نجس است.
4But whatsoever cheweth indeed the cud, and hath a hoof, but divideth it not, as the camel, and others, that you shall not eat, but shall reckon it among the unclean.
5وونک، زیرا نشخوار می‌کند اما شکافته سم نیست، این برای شما نجس است.
5The cherogrillus which cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof, is unclean.
6و خرگوش، زیرانشخوار می‌کند ولی شکافته سم نیست، این برای شما نجس است.
6The hare also: for that too cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof.
7و خوک، زیرا شکافته سم است و شکاف تمام دارد لیکن نشخوار نمی کند، این برای شما نجس است.
7And the swine, which, though it divideth the hoof, cheweth not the cud.
8از گوشت آنهامخورید و لاش آنها را لمس مکنید، اینها برای شما نجس‌اند.
8The flesh of these you shall not eat, nor shall you touch their carcasses, because they are unclean to you.
9از همه آنچه در آب است اینها رابخورید، هر‌چه پر و فلس دارد در آب خواه دردریا خواه در نهرها، آنها را بخورید.
9These are the things that breed in the waters, and which it is lawful to eat. All that hath fins, and scales, as well in the sea, as in the rivers, and the pools, you shall eat.
10و هر‌چه پر و فلس ندارد در دریا یا در نهرها، از همه حشرات آب و همه جانورانی که در آب می‌باشند، اینها نزد شما مکروه باشند.
10But whatsoever hath not fins and scales, of those things that move and live in the waters, shall be an abomination to you,
11البته نزدشما مکروه‌اند، از گوشت آنها مخورید و لاشهای آنها را مکروه دارید.
11And detestable: their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall avoid.
12هر‌چه در آبها پر و فلس ندارد نزد شما مکروه خواهد بود.
12All that have not fins and scales, in the waters, shall be unclean.
13و از مرغان اینها را مکروه دارید، خورده نشوند، زیرامکروه‌اند، عقاب و استخوان خوار و نسربحر.
13Of birds these are they which you must not eat, and which are to be avoided by you: The eagle, and the griffon, and the osprey,
14وکرکس و لاشخوار به اجناس آن.
14And the kite, and the vulture, according to their kind,
15و غراب به اجناس آن.
15And all that is of the raven kind, according to their likeness.
16و شترمرغ و جغد و مرغ دریایی وباز به اجناس آن.
16The ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind.
17و بوم و غواص و بوتیمار.
17The screech owl, and the cormorant, and the ibis,
18و قاز و مرغ سقا و رخم.
18And the swan, and the bittern, and the porphyrion,
19و لقلق و کلنگ به اجناس آن و هدهد و شبپره.
19The heron, and the charadrion according to its kind, the houp also, and the bat.
20و همه حشرات بالدار که بر چهارپا می‌روند برای شما مکروه‌اند.
20Of things that fly, whatsoever goeth upon four feet, shall be abominable to you.
21لیکن اینها را بخورید از همه حشرات بالدار که بر چهار پا می‌روند، هر کدام که بر پایهای خودساقها برای جستن بر زمین دارند.
21But whatsoever walketh upon four feet, but hath the legs behind longer, wherewith it hoppeth upon the earth,
22از آن قسم اینها را بخورید. ملخ به اجناس آن و دبا به اجناس آن و حرجوان به اجناس آن و حدب به اجناس آن.
22That you shall eat, as the bruchus in its kind, the attacus, and ophiomachus, and the locust, every one according to their kind.
23و سایر حشرات بالدار که چهار پا دارندبرای شما مکروه‌اند.
23But of dying things whatsoever hath four feet only, shall be an abomination to you:
24از آنها نجس می‌شوید، هرکه لاش آنها را لمس کند تا شام نجس باشد.
24And whosoever shall touch the carcasses of them, shall be defiled, and shall be unclean until the evening:
25و هرکه چیزی از لاش آنها را بردارد، رخت خود را بشوید و تا شام نجس باشد.
25And if it be necessary that he carry any of these things when they are dead, he shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the sun set.
26و هربهیمه‌ای که شکافته سم باشد لیکن شکاف تمام ندارد و نشخوار نکند اینها برای شما نجسند، وهر‌که آنها را لمس کند نجس است.
26Every beast that hath a hoof, but divideth it not, nor cheweth the cud, shall be unclean: and he that toucheth it, shall be defiled.
27و هر‌چه برکف پا رود از همه جانورانی که بر چهار پامی روند، اینها برای شما نجس‌اند، هرکه لاش آنها را لمس کند تا شام نجس باشد.
27That which walketh upon hands of all animals which go on all four, shall be unclean: he that shall touch their carcasses shall be defiled until evening.
28و هرکه لاش آنها را بردارد، رخت خود را بشوید و تا شام نجس باشد. اینها برای شما نجس‌اند.
28And he that shall carry such carcasses, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until evening: because all these things are unclean to you.
29«و از حشراتی که بر زمین می‌خزند اینهابرای شما نجس‌اند: موش کور و موش وسوسمار به اجناس آن،
29These also shall be reckoned among unclean things, of all that move upon the earth, the weasel, and the mouse, and the crocodile, every one according to their kind:
30و دله و ورل و چلپاسه و کرباسه و بوقلمون.
30The shrew, and the chameleon, and the stello, and the lizard, and the mole:
31از جمیع حشرات اینهابرای شما نجس‌اند: هرکه لاش آنها را لمس کندتا شام نجس باشد،
31All these are unclean. He that toucheth their carcasses shall be unclean until the evening.
32و بر هر چیزی که یکی ازاینها بعد از موتش بیفتد نجس باشد، خواه هرظرف چوبی، خواه رخت، خواه چرم، خواه جوال؛ هر ظرفی که در آن کار کرده شود در آب گذاشته شود و تا شام نجس باشد، پس طاهرخواهد بود.
32And upon what thing soever any of their carcasses shall fall, it shall be defiled, whether it be a vessel of wood, or a garment, or skins or haircloths; or any thing in which work is done, they shall be dipped in water, and shall be unclean until the evening, and so afterwards shall be clean.
33و هر ظرف سفالین که یکی از اینهادر آن بیفتد آنچه در آن است نجس باشد و آن رابشکنید.
33But an earthen vessel, into which any of these shall fall, shall be defiled, and therefore is to be broken.
34هر خوراک در آن که خورده شود، اگرآب بر آن ریخته شد نجس باشد، و هر مشروبی که آشامیده شود که در چنین ظرف است نجس باشد.
34Any meat which you eat, if water from such a vessel be poured upon it, shall be unclean; and every liquor that is drunk out of any such vessel, shall be unclean.
35و بر هر چیزی که پاره‌ای از لاش آنهابیفتد نجس باشد، خواه تنور، خواه اجاق، شکسته شود؛ اینها نجس‌اند و نزد شما نجس خواهند بود.
35And upon whatsoever thing any of these dead beasts shall fall, it shall be unclean: whether it be oven, or pots with feet, they shall be destroyed, and shall be unclean.
36و چشمه و حوض که مجمع آب باشد طاهر است لیکن هرکه لاش آنها را لمس کند نجس خواهد بود.
36But fountains and cisterns, and all gatherings together of waters shall be clean. He that toucheth their carcasses shall be defiled.
37و اگر پاره‌ای از لاش آنها بر تخم کاشتنی که باید کاشته شود بیفتدطاهر است.
37If it fall upon seed corn, it shall not defile it.
38لیکن اگر آب بر تخم ریخته شود وپاره‌ای از لاش آنها بر آن بیفتد، این برای شمانجس باشد.
38But if any man pour water upon the seed, and afterwards it be touched by the carcasses, it shall be forthwith defiled.
39و اگر یکی از بهایمی که برای شماخوردنی است بمیرد، هرکه لاش آن را لمس کندتا شام نجس باشد.
39If any beast die, of which it is lawful for you to eat, he that toucheth the carcass thereof, shall be unclean until the evening:
40و هرکه لاش آن را بخوردرخت خود را بشوید و تا شام نجس باشد. و هرکه لاش آن را بردارد، رخت خود را بشوید و تا شام نجس باشد.
40And he that eateth or carrieth any thing thereof, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the evening.
41«و هر حشراتی که بر زمین می‌خزد مکروه است؛ خورده نشود.
41All that creepeth upon the earth shall be abominable, neither shall it be taken for meat.
42و هر‌چه بر شکم راه رودو هر‌چه بر چهارپا راه رود و هر‌چه پایهای زیاده دارد، یعنی همه حشراتی که بر زمین می‌خزند، آنها را مخورید زیرا که مکروه‌اند.
42Whatsoever goeth upon the breast on four feet, or hath many feet, or traileth on the earth, you shall not eat, because it is abominable.
43خویشتن رابه هر حشراتی که می‌خزد مکروه مسازید، و خودرا به آنها نجس مسازید، مبادا از آنها ناپاک شوید.
43Do not defile your souls, nor touch aught thereof, lest you be unclean,
44زیرا من یهوه خدای شما هستم، پس خود را تقدیس نمایید و مقدس باشید، زیرا من قدوس هستم پس خویشتن را به همه حشراتی که بر زمین می‌خزند نجس مسازید.
44For I am the Lord your God: be holy because I am holy. Defile not your souls by any creeping thing, that moveth upon the earth.
45زیرا من یهوه هستم که شما را از زمین مصر بیرون آوردم تا خدای شما باشم، پس مقدس باشید زیرامن قدوس هستم.
45For I am the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.
46این است قانون بهایم ومرغان و هر حیوانی که در آبها حرکت می‌کندو هر حیوانی که بر زمین می‌خزد.
46You shall be holy, because I am holy. This is the law of beasts and fowls, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and creepeth on the earth:
47تا در میان نجس و طاهر و در میان حیواناتی که خورده شوند و حیواناتی که خورده نشوند امتیازبشود.»
47That you may know the differences of the clean, and unclean, and know what you ought to eat, and what to refuse.
