1آنگاه روسای آبای لاویان نزد العازرکاهن و نزد یوشع بن نون و نزد روسای آبای اسباط بنی‌اسرائیل آمدند.
1Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2و ایشان را درشیلوه در زمین کنعان مخاطب ساخته، گفتند که «خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده است که شهرها برای سکونت و حوالی آنها به جهت بهایم ما، به ما داده شود.»
2and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'
3پس بنی‌اسرائیل برحسب فرمان خداوند این شهرها را با حوالی آنها از ملک خود به لاویان دادند.
3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.
4و قرعه برای قبایل قهاتیان بیرون آمد، وبرای پسران هارون کاهن که از‌جمله لاویان بودند سیزده شهر از سبط یهودا، و از سبط شمعون و ازسبط بنیامین به قرعه رسید.
4And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5و برای بقیه پسران قهات، ده شهر از قبایل سبط افرایم و از سبط دان و از نصف سبط منسی به قرعه رسید.
5And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6و برای پسران جرشون سیزده شهر از قبایل سبط یساکار و از سبط اشیر و از سبط نفتالی و ازنصف سبط منسی در باشان به قرعه رسید.
6And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7و برای پسران مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان دوازده شهر از سبط روبین و از سبط جاد و از سبطزبولون رسید.
7The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8و بنی‌اسرائیل، این شهرها و حوالی آنها را به لاویان به قرعه دادند، چنانکه خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده بود.
8And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
9و از سبط بنی یهودا و از سبط بنی شمعون این شهرها را که به نامها ذکر می‌شود، دادند.
9And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.
10واینها به پسران هارون که از قبایل قهاتیان ازبنی لاوی بودند رسید، زیرا که قرعه اول از ایشان بود.
10And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.
11پس قریه اربع پدر عناق که حبرون باشددر کوهستان یهودا با حوالی که در اطراف آن بود، به ایشان دادند.
11And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron — in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.
12لیکن مزرعه های شهر و دهات آن را به کالیب بن یفنه برای ملکیت دادند.
12But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13و به پسران هارون کاهن، حبرون را که شهرملجای قاتلان است با حوالی آن، و لبنه را باحوالی آن دادند.
13And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;
14و یتیر را با نواحی آن واشتموع را با نواحی آن.
14and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;
15و حولون را با نواحی آن و دبیر را با نواحی آن.
15and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;
16و عین را با نواحی آن و یطه را با نواحی آن و بیت شمس را با نواحی آن، یعنی از این دو سبط نه شهر را.
16and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.
17و از سبطبنیامین جبعون را با نواحی آن و جبع را با نواحی آن.
17And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;
18عناتوت را با نواحی آن و علمون را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر دادند.
18Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.
19تمامی شهرهای پسران هارون کهنه سیزده شهر با نواحی آنها بود.
19All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
20و اما قبایل بنی قهات لاویان، یعنی بقیه بنی قهات شهرهای قرعه ایشان از سبط افرایم بود.
20And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21پس شکیم را در کوهستان افرایم که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و جازر را بانواحی آن به ایشان دادند.
21And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;
22و قبصایم را بانواحی آن و بیت حورون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.
22and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.
23و از سبط دان التقی را با نواحی آن و جبتون را با نواحی آن.
23And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;
24و ایلون را با نواحی آن و جت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.
24Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.
25و از نصف سبط منسی تعنک را با نواحی آن وجت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند.
25And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.
26تمامی شهرهای قبایل بقیه بنی قهات با نواحی آنها ده بود.
26All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.
27و به بنی جرشون که از قبایل لاویان بودند ازنصف سبط منسی جولان را در باشان که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و بعشتره را بانواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند.
27And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.
28و از سبطیساکار قشیون را با نواحی آن و دابره را با نواحی آن.
28And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;
29و یرموت را با نواحی آن و عین جنیم را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.
29Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.
30و از سبط اشیرمشال را با نواحی آن و عبدون را با نواحی آن.
30And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;
31و حلقات را با نواحی آن و رحوب را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.
31Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.
32و از سبط نفتالی قادش رادر جلیل که شهر ملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و حموت دور را با نواحی آن و قرتان را، یعنی سه شهر دادند.
32And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.
33و تمامی شهرهای جرشونیان برحسب قبایل ایشان سیزده شهر بود با نواحی آنها.
33All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
34و به قبایل بنی مراری که از لاویان باقی‌مانده بودند، از سبط زبولون یقنعام را با نواحی آن و قرته را با نواحی آن.
34And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;
35و دمنه را با نواحی آن و نحلال را با نواحی، یعنی چهار شهر.
35Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.
36و از سبطروبین، باصر را با نواحی آن و یهصه را با نواحی آن.
36And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;
37و قدیموت را با نواحی آن و میفعه را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.
37Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.
38و از سبط جادراموت را در جلعاد که شهر ملجای قاتلان است بانواحی آن و محنایم را با نواحی آن.
38And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;
39و حشبون را با نواحی آن و یعزیر را با نواحی آن؛ همه این شهرها چهار می‌باشد.
39Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.
40همه اینها شهرهای بنی مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان بود، یعنی بقیه قبایل لاویان و قرعه ایشان دوازده شهر بود.
40All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
41و جمیع شهرهای لاویان در میان ملک بنی‌اسرائیل چهل و هشت شهر با نواحی آنها بود.
41All the cities of the Levites — forty and eight cities with the open land about them — shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,
42این شهرها هر یکی با نواحی آن به هر طرفش بود، و برای همه این شهرها چنین بود.
42even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.
43پس خداوند تمامی زمین را که برای پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود که به ایشان بدهد به اسرائیل داد، و آن را به تصرف آورده، در آن ساکن شدند.
43So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44و خداوند ایشان را از هر طرف آرامی داد چنانکه به پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود، واحدی از دشمنان ایشان نتوانست با ایشان مقاومت نماید، زیرا که خداوند جمیع دشمنان ایشان را به‌دست ایشان سپرده بود.
44And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45و از جمیع سخنان نیکویی که خداوند به خاندان اسرائیل گفته بود، سخنی به زمین نیفتاد بلکه همه واقع شد.
45There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
