1و خدا، نوح و پسرانش را برکت داده، بدیشان گفت: «بارور و کثیر شوید و زمین را پر سازید.
1And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them: 'Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2و خوف شما و هیبت شما بر همه حیوانات زمین و بر همه پرندگان آسمان، و بر هرچه بر زمین می‌خزد، و بر همه ماهیان دریا خواهدبود، به‌دست شما تسلیم شده‌اند.
2And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, and upon all wherewith the ground teemeth, and upon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they delivered.
3و هرجنبنده‌ای که زندگی دارد، برای شما طعام باشد. همه را چون علف سبز به شما دادم،
3Every moving thing that liveth shall be for food for you; as the green herb have I given you all.
4مگرگوشت را با جانش که خون او باشد، مخورید.
4Only flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5وهر آینه انتقام خون شما را برای جان شما خواهم گرفت. از دست هر حیوان آن را خواهم گرفت. واز دست انسان، انتقام جان انسان را از دست برادرش خواهم گرفت.
5And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it; and at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man.
6هر‌که خون انسان ریزد، خون وی به‌دست انسان ریخته شود. زیرا خداانسان را به صورت خود ساخت.
6Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God made He man.
7و شما بارور وکثیر شوید، و در زمین منتشر شده، در آن بیفزایید.»
7And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; swarm in the earth, and multiply therein.'
8و خدا نوح و پسرانش را با وی خطاب کرده، گفت:
8And God spoke unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying:
9«اینک من عهد خود را با شما و بعداز شما با ذریت شما استوار سازم،
9'As for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10و با همه جانورانی که با شما باشند، از پرندگان و بهایم و همه حیوانات زمین با شما، با هرچه از کشتی بیرون آمد، حتی جمیع حیوانات زمین.
10and with every living creature that is with you, the fowl, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
11عهدخود را با شما استوار می‌گردانم که بار دیگر هرذی جسد از آب طوفان هلاک نشود، و طوفان بعداز این نباشد تا زمین را خراب کند.»
11And I will establish My covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.'
12و خدا گفت: «اینست نشان عهدی که من می‌بندم، در میان خود و شما، و همه جانورانی که با شما باشند، نسلا بعد نسل تا به ابد:
12And God said: 'This is the token of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13قوس خود را در ابر می‌گذارم، و نشان آن عهدی که درمیان من و جهان است، خواهد بود.
13I have set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth.
14و هنگامی که ابر را بالای زمین گسترانم، و قوس در ابر ظاهرشود،
14And it shall come to pass, when I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow is seen in the cloud,
15آنگاه عهد خود را که در میان من و شما وهمه جانوران ذی جسد می‌باشد، بیاد خواهم آورد. و آب طوفان دیگر نخواهد بود تا هرذی جسدی را هلاک کند.
15that I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16و قوس در ابرخواهد بود، و آن را خواهم نگریست تا بیاد آورم آن عهد جاودانی را که در میان خدا و همه جانوران است، از هر ذی جسدی که بر زمین است.»
16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.'
17و خدا به نوح گفت: «این است نشان عهدی که استوار ساختم در میان خود و هرذی جسدی که بر زمین است.»
17And God said unto Noah: 'This is the token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth.'
18و پسران نوح که از کشتی بیرون آمدند، سام و حام و یافث بودند. و حام پدر کنعان است.
18And the sons of Noah, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19اینانند سه پسر نوح، و از ایشان تمامی جهان منشعب شد.
19These three were the sons of Noah, and of these was the whole earth overspread.
20و نوح به فلاحت زمین شروع کرد، وتاکستانی غرس نمود.
20And Noah the husbandman began, and planted a vineyard.
21و شراب نوشیده، مست شد، و در خیمه خود عریان گردید.
21And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22و حام، پدر کنعان، برهنگی پدر خود را دید و دو برادرخود را بیرون خبر داد.
22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23و سام و یافث، ردا راگرفته، بر کتف خود انداختند، و پس رفته، برهنگی پدر خود را پوشانیدند. و روی ایشان بازپس بود که برهنگی پدر خود را ندیدند.
23And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24و نوح از مستی خود به هوش آمده، دریافت که پسرکهترش با وی چه کرده بود.
24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done unto him.
25پس گفت: «کنعان ملعون باد! برادران خود را بنده بندگان باشد.»
25And he said: Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26وگفت: «متبارک باد یهوه خدای سام! و کنعان، بنده او باشد.
26And he said: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem; and let Canaan be their servant.
27خدا یافث را وسعت دهد، و درخیمه های سام ساکن شود، و کنعان بنده او باشد.»
27God enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be their servant.
28و نوح بعد از طوفان، سیصد و پنجاه سال زندگانی کرد.
28And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29پس جمله ایام نوح نهصد وپنجاه سال بود که مرد.
29And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.
