1Ke ma inge, lela kut in tia kalwenina mwe luti ma fal nu sin mwet tufahna lutlutyak, a kut in fahsr nu meet nu ke mwe luti ma fal nu sin mwet pah tari. Lela kut in tia kalwenina in oaki pwelung lun lulalfongi ke God, ma fahk ke auliyak liki orekma wangin sripa;
1Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
2ku ke ouiyen baptais ac ke filiya pao fin sifa; ku ke sifil moulyak lun mwet misa ac nununku su ma nwe tok.
2instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3Lela kut in fahsr nu meet! Ac pa inge ma kut ac oru, fin ou lungse lun God.
3And this we will do, if God permits.
4Ac folokinyukme fuka mwet ma sisla lulalfongi lalos, tuh elos in sifil auliyak? Elos tuh muta ke kalem lun God meet; elos pulakin tari mwe kite sin God me, ac wi pac ipeis ke Ngun Mutal;
4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
5elos pulakin tari woiyen kas lun God, ac oayapa pulakin ku lun pacl se su ac fah tuku.
5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age—
6Na elos sisla lulalfongi lalos! Wangin mwet ku in sifil folokunulosma tuh elos in sifil auliyak, mweyen elos sifil pacna srupusrak Wen nutin God fin sakseng, ac akmwekinyal ye mutun mwet uh.
6and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.
7Sie ima ma aksroksrokkinyuk ke af pacl puspis, na akkapye fahko ma oasr sripa nu sin mwet orekma kac — ima se inge God El ac akinsewowoye.
7For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God.
8Tusruktu ima se fin akkapye kokul ac mah wet, na ac wangin sripa — ac mau mwe sensen mweyen ku in oan ye selnga lun God, ac tok ac fah isisyak.
8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end it will be burned.
9Mwet kawuk saok lasr, kut finne kaskas ouinge, a yohk lulalfongi lasr keiwos. Kut etu lah oasr tari mwe insewowo yuruwos ke sripen molela su kowos eis.
9Even though we speak like this, beloved, we are convinced of better things in your case—things that accompany salvation.
10God El tia oru ma sufal. El ac fah tia mulkunla orekma su kowos orala, ku lungse su kowos akkalemye nu sel ke kasru lowos, su kowos srakna oru pac nu sin mwet Christian wiowos.
10For God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown for His name as you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.
11Ma kut kena yohk uh pa kais sie suwos in kwafeang nwe ke safla, tuh ma su kowos finsrak nu kac fah akpwayeiyuk.
11We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
12Kut tia lungse kowos in alsrangesr, a kowos in oana elos su lulalfongi ac muteng, na kowos fah eis ma God El wulela kac.
12Then you will not be sluggish, but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
13Ke God El tuh orala wulela lal nu sel Abraham, El tuh orala fulahk lal mu El ac fah oru oana ke El wulela. Ke sripen wangin sie wal fulat liki God, El tuh orekmakin Inel sifacna in akkeye fulahk lal.
13When God made His promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself,
14El fahk, “Nga wulela nu sum lah nga ac akinsewowoye kom ac sot fwilin tulik puspis nutum.”
14saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply your descendants.”
15Ke sripen muteng lal Abraham, el eis ma God El wulela kac.
15And so Abraham, after waiting patiently, obtained the promise.
16Ke sie mwet el orala sie fulahk, el ac orekmakin inen sie su fulat lukel, na fulahk sac ac akmisyela kain in alein nukewa.
16Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument.
17Nu selos su ac eis ma God El wulela kac, God El kena tuh in arulana kalem selos lah El ac tiana ekulla nunak lal uh; ouinge el sang fulahk lal in weang wulela sac.
17So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
18Ma luo inge tia ku in ekla, ac God El tia ku in kikiap kac. Ke ma inge, nu sesr su kaing nu yorol in konauk nien molela lasr, ma inge arulana akkeye kut tuh kut in sruokya ku finsrak se ma filiyuki ye mutasr.
18Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
19We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
20Jesus El aolkutla ac utyak tari nu in acn mutal se inge meet liki kut, ac inge el sie mwet tol fulat nwe tok in oru orekma lun mwet tol oana Melchizedek.
20where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
