1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
1Хоћу дакле да ви знате колику борбу имам за вас и за оне што су у Лаодикији и у Јерапољу, и за све који не видеше лице моје у телу,
2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
2да се утеше срца њихова, и да се стегну у љубави, и у сваком богатству пуног разума, на познање тајне Бога и Оца и Христа,
3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
3у којој је све благо премудрости и разума скривено.
4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
4А ово говорим, да вас нико не превари слатким речима.
5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
5Јер ако телом и нисам код вас, али сам духом с вама, радујући се и видећи ваш ред и тврђу ваше вере у Христа.
6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
6Како дакле примисте Христа Исуса Господа онако живите у Њему,
7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
7укорењени и назидани у Њему и утврђени вером као што научисте, изобилујући у њој захвалношћу.
8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
8Браћо! Чувајте се да вас ко не зароби филозофијом и празном преваром, по казивању човечијем, по науци света, а не по Христу.
9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
9Јер у Њему живи свака пунина Божанства телесно.
10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
10И да будете испуњени у Њему који је глава сваком поглаварству и власти;
11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
11у коме и обрезани бисте обрезањем нерукотвореним, одбацивши тело греха месних обрезањем Христовим;
12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
12закопавши се с Њим крштењем, у коме с Њим и устасте вером силе Бога који Га васкрсну из мртвих.
13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
13И вас који сте били мртви у гресима и у необрезању тела свог, оживео је с Њим, поклонивши нам све грехе,
14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
14и избрисавши писмо уредбе која беше против нас, и то узевши са среде прикова га на крсту;
15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
15и свукавши поглаварства и власти изведе их на углед слободно, и победи их на њему.
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days :
16Да вас дакле нико не осуђује за јело или за пиће, или за какав празник, или за младине, или за суботе;
17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
17које је све било сен од оног што хтеде да дође, и тело је Христово.
18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
18Нико да вас не вара по својој вољи изабраном понизношћу и службом анђела, истражујући и шта не виде, и узалуд надимајући се умом тела свог,
19And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
19а не држећи се главе, из које је све тело с помоћу зглавака и свеза састављено, и расте за раст Божји.
20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
20Ако дакле умресте с Христом стихијама света, зашто се као живећи у свету препирете:
21(Touch not; taste not; handle not;
21Не дохвати се, не окуси, не опипај; које је све на погибао ономе који чини,
22Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
22по заповестима и наукама људским?
23Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
23Које је само по речи премудрост самовољно избране службе и понизности и нештеђења тела, не за част какву, за пуњење тела.
