1Every wise woman buildeth her house; but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
1智慧妇人建立家室； 愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD; but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth Him.
2行动正直的，敬畏耶和华； 行事乖僻的，却藐视他。
3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
3愚妄人口中骄傲，如杖责打己身； 智慧人的嘴必保守自己。
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
4家里无牛，槽头干净； 土产加多乃凭牛力。
5A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness breatheth forth lies.
5诚实见证人不说谎话； 假见证人吐出谎言。
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; but knowledge is easy unto him that hath discernment.
6亵慢人寻智慧，却寻不着； 聪明人易得知识。
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, for thou wilt not perceive the lips of knowledge.
7到愚昧人面前， 不见他嘴中有知识。
8The wisdom of the prudent is to look well to his way; but the folly of fools is deceit.
8通达人的智慧在乎明白己道； 愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈。
9Amends pleadeth for fools; but among the upright there is good will.
9愚妄人犯罪，以为戏耍； 正直人互相喜悦。
10The heart knoweth its own bitterness; and with its joy no stranger can intermeddle.
10心中的苦楚，自己知道； 心里的喜乐，外人无干。
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
11奸恶人的房屋必倾倒； 正直人的帐棚必兴盛。
12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
12有一条路，人以为正， 至终成为死亡之路。
13Even in laughter the heart acheth; and the end of mirth is heaviness.
13人在喜笑中，心也忧愁； 快乐至极就生愁苦。
14The dissembler in heart shall have his fill from his own ways; and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
14心中背道的，必满得自己的结果； 善人必从自己 的行为得以知足 。
15The thoughtless believeth every word; but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
15愚蒙人是话都信； 通达人步步谨慎。
16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; but the fool behaveth overbearingly, and is confident.
16智慧人惧怕，就远离恶事； 愚妄人却狂傲自恃。
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly; and a man of wicked devices is hated.
17轻易发怒的，行事愚妄； 设立诡计的，被人恨恶。
18The thoughtless come into possession of folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
18愚蒙人得愚昧为产业； 通达人得知识为冠冕。
19The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
19坏人俯伏在善人面前； 恶人俯伏在义人门口。
20The poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
20贫穷人连邻舍也恨他； 富足人朋友最多。
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious unto the humble, happy is he.
21藐视邻舍的，这人有罪； 怜悯贫穷的，这人有福。
22Shall they not go astray that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be for them that devise good.
22谋恶的，岂非走入迷途吗？ 谋善的， 必得 慈爱和诚实。
23In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
23诸般勤劳都有益处； 嘴上多言乃致穷乏。
24The crown of the wise is their riches; but the folly of fools remaineth folly.
24智慧人的财为自己的冠冕； 愚妄人的愚昧终是愚昧。
25A true witness delivereth souls; but he that breatheth forth lies is all deceit.
25作真见证的，救人性命； 吐出谎言的， 施行 诡诈。
26In the fear of the LORD a man hath strong confidence; and his children shall have a place of refuge.
26敬畏耶和华的，大有倚靠； 他的儿女也有避难所。
27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
27敬畏耶和华就是生命的泉源， 可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
28In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the want of people is the ruin of the prince.
28帝王荣耀在乎民多； 君王衰败在乎民少。
29He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
29不轻易发怒的，大有聪明； 性情暴躁的，大显愚妄。
30A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh; but envy is the rottenness of the bones.
30心中安静是肉体的生命； 嫉妒是骨中的朽烂。
31He that oppresseth the poor blasphemeth his Maker; but he that is gracious unto the needy honoureth Him.
31欺压贫寒的，是辱没造他的主； 怜悯穷乏的，乃是尊敬主。
32The wicked is thrust down in his misfortune; but the righteous, even when he is brought to death, hath hope.
32恶人在所行的恶上必被推倒； 义人临死，有所投靠。
33In the heart of him that hath discernment wisdom resteth; but in the inward part of fools it maketh itself known.
33智慧存在聪明人心中； 愚昧人心里所存的，显而易见。
34Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.
34公义使邦国高举； 罪恶是人民的羞辱。
35The king's favour is toward a servant that dealeth wisely; but his wrath striketh him that dealeth shamefully.
35智慧的臣子蒙王恩惠； 贻羞的仆人遭其震怒。
