1And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should slay David; but Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David.
1掃羅 對他兒子 約拿單 和眾臣僕說，要殺 大衛 ； 掃羅 的兒子 約拿單 卻甚喜愛 大衛 。
2And Jonathan told David, saying: 'Saul my father seeketh to slay thee; now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself.
2約拿單 告訴 大衛 說：「我父 掃羅 想要殺你，所以明日早晨你要小心，到一個僻靜地方藏身。
3And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will speak with my father of thee; and if I see aught, I will tell thee.'
3我就出到你所藏的田裏，站在我父親旁邊與他談論。我看他情形怎樣，我必告訴你。」
4And Jonathan spoke good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him: 'Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his work hath been very good towards thee;
4約拿單 向他父親 掃羅 替 大衛 說好話，說：「王不可得罪王的僕人 大衛 ；因為他未曾得罪你，他所行的都與你大有益處。
5for he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great victory for all Israel; thou sawest it, and didst rejoice; wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?'
5他拚命殺那 非利士 人，耶和華為 以色列 眾人大行拯救；那時你看見，甚是歡喜，現在為何無故要殺 大衛 ，流無辜人的血，自己取罪呢？」
6And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore: 'As the LORD liveth, he shall not be put to death.'
6掃羅 聽了 約拿單 的話，就指着永生的耶和華起誓說：「我必不殺他。」
7And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as beforetime.
7約拿單 叫 大衛 來，把這一切事告訴他，帶他去見 掃羅 。他就仍然侍立在 掃羅 面前。
8And there was war again; and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled before him.
8此後又有爭戰的事。 大衛 出去與 非利士 人打仗，大大殺敗他們，他們就在他面前逃跑。
9And an evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing with his hand.
9從耶和華那裏來的惡魔又降在 掃羅 身上（ 掃羅 手裏拿槍坐在屋裏）， 大衛 就用手彈琴。
10And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the spear; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the spear into the wall; and David fled, and escaped that night.
10掃羅 用槍想要刺透 大衛 ，釘在牆上，他卻躲開， 掃羅 的槍刺入牆內。當夜 大衛 逃走，躲避了。
11And Saul sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning; and Michal David's wife told him, saying: 'If thou save not thy life to-night, to-morrow thou shalt be slain.'
11掃羅 打發人到 大衛 的房屋那裏窺探他，要等到天亮殺他。 大衛 的妻 米甲 對他說：「你今夜若不逃命，明日你要被殺。」
12So Michal let David down through the window; and he went, and fled, and escaped.
12於是 米甲 將 大衛 從窗戶裏縋下去， 大衛 就逃走，躲避了。
13And Michal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a quilt of goats' hair at the head thereof, and covered it with a cloth.
13米甲 把家中的神像放在床上，頭枕在山羊毛裝的枕頭上，用被遮蓋。
14And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said: 'He is sick.'
14掃羅 打發人去捉拿 大衛 ， 米甲 說：「他病了。」
15And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying: 'Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.'
15掃羅 又打發人去看 大衛 ，說：「當連床將他抬來，我好殺他。」
16And when the messengers came in, behold, the teraphim was in the bed, with the quilt of goats' hair at the head thereof.
16使者進去，看見床上有神像，頭枕在山羊毛裝的枕頭上。
17And Saul said unto Michal: 'Why hast thou deceived me thus, and let mine enemy go, that he is escaped?' And Michal answered Saul: 'He said unto me: Let me go; why should I kill thee?'
17掃羅 對 米甲 說：「你為甚麼這樣欺哄我，放我仇敵逃走呢？」 米甲 回答說：「他對我說：『你放我走，不然我要殺你。』」
18Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
18大衛 逃避，來到 拉瑪 見 撒母耳 ，將 掃羅 向他所行的事述說了一遍。他和 撒母耳 就往 拿約 去居住。
19And it was told Saul, saying: 'Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.'
19有人告訴 掃羅 ，說 大衛 在 拉瑪 的 拿約 。
20And Saul sent messengers to take David; and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
20掃羅 打發人去捉拿 大衛 。去的人見有一班先知都受感說話， 撒母耳 站在其中監管他們；打發去的人也受上帝的靈感動說話。
21And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
21有人將這事告訴 掃羅 ，他又打發人去，他們也受感說話。 掃羅 第三次打發人去，他們也受感說話。
22Then went he also to Ramah, and came to the great cistern that is in Secu; and he asked and said: 'Where are Samuel and David?' And one said: 'Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.'
22然後 掃羅 自己往 拉瑪 去，到了 西沽 的大井，問人說：「 撒母耳 和 大衛 在哪裏呢？」有人說：「在 拉瑪 的 拿約 。」
23And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah; and the spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
23他就往 拉瑪 的 拿約 去。上帝的靈也感動他，一面走一面說話，直到 拉瑪 的 拿約 。
24And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say: 'Is Saul also among the prophets?'
24他就脫了衣服，在 撒母耳 面前受感說話，一晝一夜露體躺臥。因此有句俗語說：「 掃羅 也列在先知中嗎？」
