1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
1จุดเริ่มต้นของข่าวดีเรื่องพระเยซูคริสต์ พระบุตรของพระเจ้า
2As it is written in Isaias the prophet: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare the way before thee.
2ตามที่เขียนไว้ในหนังสือของบรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะว่า “จงดู เราส่งผู้ส่งสารของเราไปก่อนเจ้า เขาจะเตรียมทางไว้ให้เจ้า
3A voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.
3มีเสียงของผู้หนึ่งร้องในถิ่นทุรกันดารว่า ‘จงเตรียมทางขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า จงทำทางของพระองค์ให้ตรง!’”
4John was in the desert baptizing, and preaching the baptism of penance, unto remission of sins.
4ยอห์นมาทำพิธีบัพติศมา ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร และประกาศเรื่องการรับบัพติศมาแห่งการกลับใจเพื่อรับการยกโทษบาป
5And there went out to him all the country of Judea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptized by him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
5ผู้คนจากทั่วแคว้นยูเดียและชาวเยรูซาเล็มทั้งหมดพากันออกไปหายอห์น พวกเขารับบัพติศมาจากเขาในแม่น้ำจอร์แดน และสารภาพบาปของตน
6And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and he ate locusts and wild honey.
6ยอห์นสวมเสื้อขนอูฐ คาดเข็มขัดหนังที่เอว และกินตั๊กแตนกับน้ำผึ้งป่า
7And he preached, saying: There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
7เขาประกาศว่า “ผู้ที่จะมาภายหลังข้าพเจ้ามีอำนาจยิ่งกว่าข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าไม่คู่ควรแม้แต่จะก้มลงแก้สายรัดรองเท้าแตะของเขา
8I have baptized you with water; but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
8ข้าพเจ้าให้พวกคุณรับบัพติศมาใน น้ำ แต่เขาจะให้พวกคุณรับบัพติศมาในพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์”
9And it came to pass, in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
9ในเวลานั้น พระเยซูมาจากเมืองนาซาเร็ธในแคว้นกาลิลี และรับบัพติศมาจากยอห์นในแม่น้ำจอร์แดน
10And forthwith coming up out of he water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit as a dove descending, and remaining on him.
10ทันทีที่ขึ้นจากน้ำ พระองค์เห็นสวรรค์แยกออก และเห็นพระวิญญาณลงมาบนพระองค์เหมือนนกพิราบ
11And there came a voice from heaven: Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
11แล้วมีเสียงมาจากฟ้าว่า “เจ้าเป็นบุตรของเราที่เรารัก เราพอใจในตัวเจ้าอย่างยิ่ง”
12And immediately the Spirit drove him out into the desert.
12ทันใดนั้น พระวิญญาณผลักดันพระองค์ออกไปยังถิ่นทุรกันดาร
13And he was in the desert forty days and forty nights, and was tempted by Satan; and he was with beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
13พระองค์อยู่ที่นั่นในถิ่นทุรกันดารสี่สิบวัน ถูกซาตานทดลอง อยู่ท่ามกลางสัตว์ป่า และเหล่าทูตสวรรค์คอยรับใช้พระองค์
14And after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
14หลังจากยอห์นถูกจับกุมแล้ว พระเยซูมายังแคว้นกาลิลี ประกาศข่าวดีเรื่องอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า
15And saying: The time is accomplished, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.
15และกล่าวว่า “เวลาที่กำหนดไว้มาถึงแล้ว และอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว! จงกลับใจและเชื่อข่าวดี”
16And passing by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, casting nets into the sea (for they were fishermen).
16ขณะที่เดินเลียบทะเลกาลิลี พระองค์เห็นซีโมนกับอันดรูว์ซึ่งเป็นพี่น้องกัน กำลังทอดแหอยู่ในทะเล เพราะทั้งสองเป็นชาวประมง
17And Jesus said to them: Come after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
17พระเยซูกล่าวกับพวกเขาว่า “ตามเรามา แล้วเราจะทำให้พวกคุณเป็นชาวประมงที่จับคน”
18And immediately leaving their nets, they followed him.
18พวกเขาทิ้งแหทันทีแล้วตามพระองค์ไป
19And going on from thence a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were mending their nets in the ship:
19เมื่อเดินต่อไปอีกเล็กน้อย พระองค์เห็นยากอบลูกของเศเบดีกับยอห์นซึ่งเป็นพี่น้องกัน ทั้งสองอยู่ในเรือกำลังซ่อมแห
20And forthwith he called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with his hired men, they followed him.
20พระองค์เรียกทั้งสองทันที พวกเขาจึงทิ้งเศเบดีบิดาของตนไว้ในเรือกับพวกลูกจ้าง แล้วตามพระองค์ไป
21And they entered into Capharnaum, and forthwith upon the sabbath days going into the synagogue, he taught them.
21พวกเขาเข้าเมืองคาเปอรนาอุม พอถึงวันสะบาโต พระเยซูก็เข้าไปในธรรมศาลาและสอนทันที
22And they were astonished at his doctrine. For he was teaching them as one having power, and not as the scribes.
22ผู้คนต่างประหลาดใจในคำสอนของพระองค์ เพราะพระองค์สอนพวกเขาอย่างผู้มีอำนาจ ไม่เหมือนพวกอาลักษณ์
23And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
23ทันใดนั้น ในสถานที่ประชุมของพวกเขามีชายคนหนึ่งซึ่งมีวิญญาณที่ไม่บริสุทธิ์อยู่ในตัว เขาร้องออกมาว่า
24Saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know who thou art, the Holy One of God.
24“อา! ท่านมายุ่งอะไรกับพวกเรา เยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ? ท่านมาเพื่อทำลายพวกเราหรือ? ข้ารู้ว่าท่านเป็นใคร ท่านคือผู้บริสุทธิ์ของพระเจ้า!”
25And Jesus threatened him, saying: Speak no more, and go out of the man.
25พระเยซูตำหนิวิญญาณนั้นว่า “เงียบ! ออกมาจากเขา!”
26And the unclean spirit tearing him, and crying out with a loud voice, went out of him.
26วิญญาณที่ไม่บริสุทธิ์ทำให้ชายคนนั้นชัก ร้องเสียงดัง แล้วออกมาจากเขา
27And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying: What thing is this? what is this new doctrine? for with power he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
27ทุกคนต่างตกตะลึงจนถามกันว่า “นี่อะไรกัน? เป็นคำสอนใหม่หรือ? เขามีอำนาจสั่งแม้แต่วิญญาณที่ไม่บริสุทธิ์ และพวกมันก็เชื่อฟังเขา!”
28And the fame of him was spread forthwith into all the country of Galilee.
28ข่าวเรื่องพระองค์แพร่ไปทันทีทั่วทุกแห่งในแคว้นกาลิลีและบริเวณโดยรอบ
29And immediately going out of the synagogue they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
29ทันทีที่ออกจากธรรมศาลา พวกเขาก็ไปบ้านของซีโมนและอันดรูว์ พร้อมกับยากอบและยอห์น
30And Simon’s wife’s mother lay in a fit of a fever: and forthwith they tell him of her.
30แม่ยายของซีโมนนอนป่วยเป็นไข้ และพวกเขาบอกพระเยซูเรื่องนางทันที
31And coming to her, he lifted her up, taking her by the hand; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
31พระองค์เข้าไปจับมือนางและพยุงให้ลุกขึ้น ไข้ก็หายจากนางทันที แล้วนางก็คอยรับใช้พวกเขา
32And when it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all that were ill and that were possessed with devils.
32พอถึงเวลาเย็น หลังดวงอาทิตย์ตก ผู้คนพาคนป่วยทุกคนและคนที่ถูกปีศาจสิงมาหาพระองค์
33And all the city was gathered together at the door.
33คนทั้งเมืองมารวมกันที่หน้าประตู
34And he healed many that were troubled with divers diseases; and he cast out many devils, and he suffered them not to speak, because they knew him.
34พระองค์รักษาคนจำนวนมากที่ป่วยด้วยโรคต่าง ๆ และขับปีศาจออกไปหลายตน พระองค์ไม่ยอมให้ปีศาจพูด เพราะพวกมันรู้จักพระองค์
35And rising very early, going out, he went into a desert place: and there he prayed.
35เช้าตรู่ขณะที่ยังมืดอยู่ พระองค์ลุกขึ้น ออกไปยังที่เปลี่ยว และอธิษฐานอยู่ที่นั่น
36And Simon, and they that were with him, followed after him.
36ซีโมนกับคนที่อยู่กับเขาออกตามหาพระองค์
37And when they had found him, they said to him: All seek for thee.
37เมื่อพบพระองค์แล้ว พวกเขาบอกว่า “ทุกคนกำลังตามหาท่านอยู่”
38And he saith to them: Let us go into the neighbouring towns and cities, that I may preach there also; for to this purpose am I come.
38พระองค์ตอบว่า “ไปที่อื่นกันเถอะ ไปยังเมืองใกล้เคียง เพื่อเราจะได้ประกาศที่นั่นด้วย เพราะที่เราออกมาก็เพื่อการนี้”
39And he was preaching in their synagogues, and in all Galilee, and casting out devils.
39พระองค์จึงไปทั่วแคว้นกาลิลี ประกาศตามธรรมศาลาและขับปีศาจออก
40And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down said to him: If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
40คนเป็นโรคเรื้อนคนหนึ่งมาหาพระองค์ คุกเข่าลงและวิงวอนว่า “ถ้าท่านเต็มใจ ท่านก็ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าสะอาดได้”
41And Jesus having compassion on him, stretched forth his hand; and touching him, saith to him: I will. Be thou made clean.
41พระเยซูรู้สึกสงสาร จึงยื่นมือแตะเขาและกล่าวว่า “เราเต็มใจ จงสะอาด”
42And when he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.
42เมื่อพระเยซูกล่าวเช่นนั้น โรคเรื้อนก็หายจากเขาทันที และเขาก็สะอาด
43And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away.
43พระองค์กำชับเขาอย่างเข้มงวด แล้วให้เขาออกไปทันที
44And he saith to him: See thou tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the high priest, and offer for thy cleansing the things that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
44โดยกล่าวว่า “อย่าบอกเรื่องนี้กับใคร แต่จงไปแสดงตัวต่อปุโรหิต และถวายสิ่งที่โมเสสสั่งไว้สำหรับการชำระตัวของเจ้า เพื่อเป็นพยานแก่พวกเขา”
45But he being gone out, began to publish and to blaze abroad the word: so that he could not openly go into the city, but was without in desert places: and they flocked to him from all sides.
45แต่ชายคนนั้นออกไปแล้วเริ่มประกาศและเล่าเรื่องนี้ออกไปอย่างกว้างขวาง จนพระเยซูไม่สามารถเข้าเมืองอย่างเปิดเผยได้อีก แต่ต้องอยู่นอกเมืองตามที่เปลี่ยว ผู้คนจากทุกแห่งก็พากันมาหาพระองค์
