8And they remembered his words.
9Ja tana narikutundru karitjina tikana wonti ja jenia pratjana marapratjana ja kulnuni ja tanangu pratjanani kaukaubana wonti.

10And it was Mary Magdalen, and Joanna, and Mary of James, and the other women that were with them, who told these things to the apostles.

12But Peter rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths laid by themselves; and went away wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

17Nau pudlangu jatana wonti: „Mina jaura judla ngankamaliai paltuni, ja minandru judla ngaurongauro nganai?“
17And he said to them: What are these discourses that you hold one with another as you walk, and are sad?

18And the one of them, whose name was Cleophas, answering, said to him: Art thou only a stranger to Jerusalem, and hast not known the things that have been done there in these days?
19Ja Nau pudlangu jatana wonti: „Mina?“ Pudla nunkangu jatana wonti: „Jenia Jesus Nazarenalandru, Naupini Propheta talku nganana wonti, ngankanali ja jaurali ngurunguru Godani ja kana wolarani.
19To whom he said: What things? And they said: Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, mighty in work and word before God and all the people;
20Ja worderu Priesta pirnali ja kana kaparali ngaianinali nina naria ngulkujeli jinkila wiri, ja nina kunarkuni katibala wiri.
20And how our chief priests and princes delivered him to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21Ngaiani kalkanala, Nulu Israel kulkananto. Ja karari ditji parkulu nganai, jenia pratjana pantjila wiri.
21But we hoped, that it was he that should have redeemed Israel: and now besides all this, today is the third day since these things were done.
22Ja bakana widla palpali ngaianingundru ngaianina ngaruparibana warai, tana nguramarani nariwonpani wokarana warai.
22Yea and certain women also of our company affrighted us, who before it was light, were at the sepulchre,

24And some of our people went to the sepulchre, and found it so as the women had said, but him they found not.
25Ja Nau pudlangu jatana wonti: „Judla kana patipati ja ngara ngurunguru jenia pratjana morlalu ngundrala, mina Prophetali kaukaubana wonti.
25Then he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken.
26Wata jenia Christulu ketjaketjananto ja pirnalani nunkanani wirinanto?“
26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and so to enter into his glory?
27Ja Nulu wonina wonti pudlangu Mosingundru ja Propheta pratjanandru jenia mildiri ngankala, mina tanali jaurani tananani pratjanani jatana wonti.

29But they constrained him; saying: Stay with us, because it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in with them.
30Ja jendranguta Nau pudlangunto matja ngamana ngarina, Nulu buka patana wonti ja nina ngurungutana wonti ja wokaribana wonti ja pudlangu jinkina wonti.

32And they said one to the other: Was not our heart burning within us, whilst he spoke in this way, and opened to us the scriptures?
33Ja pudla nunkangupini ditjini jiritjina wonti ja Jerusalemia tikana karitjina wonti; ja pudlali marapratjana ja kulno ja tanana tanangunto matja jurborina, mankamankana wonti.
33And rising up, the same hour, they went back to Jerusalem: and they found the eleven gathered together, and those that were staying with them,
34Ja tana jatana wonti: „Kapara morlalu jiritjina warai ja Simoningu wondraterina warai!“
34Saying: The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35Ja pudlali kaukaubana wonti mina paltuni matja pantjina, ja worderu pudlali nina ngujamana warai buka wokaribanani. (Ngantjani‐jaura Jesu tepi terkakani ditji parkulani.)

37Tana ngarrana wonti ja japali pirna pantjina wonti, ja tanali ngundrana wonti, tanali jaola najiai.
37But they being troubled and frightened, supposed that they saw a spirit.
38Ja Nau tanangu jatana wonti: „Minandru jura japali pirna nganai; ja minandru ngarali juranali mangangankana jiritjiai?
38And he said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have.
40Ja Nau jenia matja jatana, Nau mara ja tidna tanangu wondraterina wonti.
40And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and feet.

41But while they yet believed not, and wondered for joy, he said: Have you any thing to eat?
42Tanali nunkangu paru buru kulno, matja wajina, ja pitjambu jinkina wonti.
42And they offered him a piece of a broiled fish, and a honeycomb.
43Ja Nulu nina patana wonti ja tanangu milkini tajina wonti.
43And when he had eaten before them, taking the remains, he gave to them.

44And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45Ngadani Nulu tjuru tanani piri ngankana wonti jaura worana ngujamananto.
45Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
46Ja Nau tanangu jatana wonti: „Jeruja dakanala parai, ja jeruja Christus ketjaketjananto, ja ditjini parkulani jiritjinanto.
46And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead, the third day:
47Ngangau tanali talani nunkanani madlentjandru karitjina ja madlentji kalingana kanani warupotuni kaukaubananto ja Jerusalemingu woninanto.
47And that penance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, unto all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

51And it came to pass, whilst he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up to heaven.

52And they adoring went back into Jerusalem with great joy.

53And they were always in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
