1「那時，天國好比十個童女拿着燈出去迎接新郎。
1“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2其中有五個是愚拙的，五個是聰明的。
2Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
3愚拙的拿着燈，卻不預備油；
3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take along any extra oil.
4聰明的拿着燈，又預備油在器皿裏。
4But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps.
5新郎遲延的時候，她們都打盹，睡着了。
5When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6半夜有人喊着說：『新郎來了，你們出來迎接他！』
6At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7那些童女就都起來收拾燈。
7Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8愚拙的對聰明的說：『請分點油給我們， 因為我們的燈要滅了。』
8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9聰明的回答說：『恐怕不夠你我用的；不如你們自己到賣油的那裏去買吧。』
9‘No,’ said the wise ones, ‘or there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10她們去買的時候，新郎到了。那預備好了的，同他進去坐席，門就關了。
10But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.
11其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：『主啊，主啊，給我們開門！』
11Later the other virgins arrived and said, ‘Lord, lord, open the door for us!’
12他卻回答說：『我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。』
12But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.’
13所以，你們要警醒；因為那日子，那時辰，你們不知道。」
13Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
14「 天國 又好比一個人要往外國去，就叫了僕人來，把他的家業交給他們，
14For it is just like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted them with his possessions.
15按着各人的才幹給他們銀子：一個給了五千，一個給了二千，一個給了一千，就往外國去了。
15To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent—each according to his own ability. And he went on his journey.
16那領五千的隨即拿去做買賣，另外賺了五千。
16The servant who had received the five talents went at once and put them to work and gained five more.
17那領二千的也照樣另賺了二千。
17Likewise, the one with the two talents gained two more.
18但那領一千的去掘開地，把主人的銀子埋藏了。
18But the servant who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money.
19過了許久，那些僕人的主人來了，和他們算帳。
19After a long time the master of those servants returned to settle accounts with them.
20那領五千銀子的又帶着那另外的五千來，說：『主啊，你交給我五千銀子。請看，我又賺了五千。』
20The servant who had received the five talents came and presented five more. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’
21主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
21His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
22那領二千的也來，說：『主啊，你交給我二千銀子。請看，我又賺了二千。』
22The servant who had received the two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. See, I have gained two more.’
23主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
23His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
24那領一千的也來，說：『主啊，我知道你是忍心的人，沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
24Finally, the servant who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Master, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
25我就害怕，去把你的一千銀子埋藏在地裏。請看，你的原銀子在這裏。』
25So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what belongs to you.’
26主人回答說：『你這又惡又懶的僕人，你既知道我沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
26‘You wicked, lazy servant!’ replied his master. ‘You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed.
27就當把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人，到我來的時候，可以連本帶利收回。
27Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest.
28奪過他這一千來，給那有一萬的。
28Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.
29因為凡有的，還要加給他，叫他有餘；沒有的，連他所有的也要奪過來。
29For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
30把這無用的僕人丟在外面黑暗裏；在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。』」
30And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
31「當人子在他榮耀裏、同着眾天使降臨的時候，要坐在他榮耀的寶座上。
31When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.
32萬民都要聚集在他面前。他要把他們分別出來，好像牧羊的分別綿羊山羊一般，
32All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33把綿羊安置在右邊，山羊在左邊。
33He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left.
34於是王要向那右邊的說：『你們這蒙我父賜福的，可來承受那創世以來為你們所預備的國；
34Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35因為我餓了，你們給我吃，渴了，你們給我喝；我作客旅，你們留我住；
35For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in,
36我赤身露體，你們給我穿；我病了，你們看顧我；我在監裏，你們來看我。』
36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’
37義人就回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，給你吃，渴了，給你喝？
37Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?
38甚麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿？
38When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39又甚麼時候見你病了，或是在監裏，來看你呢？』
39When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’
40王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』
40And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’
41王又要向那左邊的說：『你們這被咒詛的人，離開我！進入那為魔鬼和他的使者所預備的永火裏去！
41Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
42因為我餓了，你們不給我吃，渴了，你們不給我喝；
42For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink,
43我作客旅，你們不留我住；我赤身露體，你們不給我穿；我病了，我在監裏，你們不來看顧我。』
43I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44他們也要回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或作客旅，或赤身露體，或病了，或在監裏，不伺候你呢？』
44And they too will reply, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
45王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既不做在我這 弟兄 中一個最小的身上，就是不做在我身上了。』
45Then the King will answer, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’
46這些人要往永刑裏去；那些義人要往永生裏去。」
46And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
