1正當那時，有人將 彼拉多 使 加利利 人的血攙雜在他們祭物中的事告訴耶穌。
1At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
2耶穌說：「你們以為這些 加利利 人比眾 加利利 人更有罪，所以受這害嗎？
2To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this fate?
3我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都要如此滅亡！
3No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
4從前 西羅亞 樓倒塌了，壓死十八個人；你們以為那些人比一切住在 耶路撒冷 的人更有罪嗎？
4Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem?
5我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都要如此滅亡！」
5No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
6於是用比喻說：「一個人有一棵無花果樹栽在葡萄園裏。他來到樹前找果子，卻找不着。
6Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any.
7就對管園的說：『看哪，我這三年來到這無花果樹前找果子，竟找不着。把它砍了吧，何必白佔地土呢！』
7So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
8管園的說：『 主啊，今年且留着，等我周圍掘開土，加上糞；
8‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
9以後若結果子便罷，不然再把它砍了。』」
9If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.’”
10安息日，耶穌在會堂裏教訓人。
10One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,
11有一個女人被鬼附着，病了十八年，腰彎得一點直不起來。
11and a woman there had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was hunched over and could not stand up straight.
12耶穌看見，便叫過她來，對她說：「女人，你脫離這病了！」
12When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your disability.”
13於是用兩隻手按着她；她立刻直起腰來，就歸榮耀與上帝。
13Then He placed His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and began to glorify God.
14管會堂的因為耶穌在安息日治病，就氣忿忿地對眾人說：「有六日應當做工；那六日之內可以來求醫，在安息日卻不可。」
14But the synagogue leader was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. “There are six days for work,” he told the crowd. “So come and be healed on those days and not on the Sabbath.”
15主說：「假冒為善的人哪，難道你們各人在安息日不解開槽上的牛、驢，牽去飲嗎？
15“You hypocrites!” the Lord replied. “Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it to water?
16況且這女人本是 亞伯拉罕 的後裔，被撒但捆綁了這十八年，不當在安息日解開她的綁嗎？」
16Then should not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be released from her bondage on the Sabbath day?”
17耶穌說這話，他的敵人都慚愧了；眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事，就都歡喜了。
17When Jesus said this, all His adversaries were humiliated. And the whole crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things He was doing.
18耶穌說：「上帝的國好像甚麼？我拿甚麼來比較呢？
18Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it?
19好像一粒芥菜種，有人拿去種在園子裏，長大成樹，天上的飛鳥宿在它的枝上。」
19It is like a mustard seed that a man tossed into his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”
20又說：「我拿甚麼來比上帝的國呢？
20Again He asked, “To what can I compare the kingdom of God?
21好比麵酵，有婦人拿來藏在三斗麵裏，直等全團都發起來。」
21It is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
22耶穌往 耶路撒冷 去，在所經過的各城各鄉教訓人。
22Then Jesus traveled throughout the towns and villages, teaching as He made His way toward Jerusalem.
23有一個人問他說：「主啊，得救的人少嗎？」
23“Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?” Jesus answered,
24耶穌對眾人說：「你們要努力進窄門。我告訴你們，將來有許多人想要進去，卻是不能。
24“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.
25及至家主起來關了門，你們站在外面叩門，說：『主啊，給我們開門！』他就回答說：『我不認識你們，不曉得你們是哪裏來的！』
25After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’
26那時，你們要說：『我們在你面前吃過喝過，你也在我們的街上教訓過人。』
26Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27他要說：『我告訴你們，我不曉得你們是哪裏來的。你們這一切作惡的人，離開我去吧！』
27And he will answer, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers.’
28你們要看見 亞伯拉罕 、 以撒 、 雅各 ，和眾先知都在上帝的國裏，你們卻被趕到外面，在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。
28There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves are thrown out.
29從東、從西、從南、從北將有人來，在上帝的國裏坐席。
29People will come from east and west and north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
30只是有在後的，將要在前；有在前的，將要在後。」
30And indeed, some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”
31正當那時，有幾個法利賽人來對耶穌說：「離開這裏去吧，因為 希律 想要殺你。」
31At that very hour, some Pharisees came to Jesus and told Him, “Leave this place and get away, because Herod wants to kill You.”
32耶穌說：「你們去告訴那個狐狸說：『今天、明天我趕鬼治病，第三天我的事就成全了。』
32But Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.’
33雖然這樣，今天、明天、後天，我必須前行，因為先知在 耶路撒冷 之外喪命是不能的。
33Nevertheless, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day, for it is not admissible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem.
34耶路撒冷 啊！ 耶路撒冷 啊！你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死那奉差遣到你這裏來的人。我多次願意聚集你的兒女，好像母雞把小雞聚集在翅膀底下；只是你們不願意。
34O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling!
35看哪，你們的家成為荒場留給你們。我告訴你們， 從今以後 你們不得再見我，直等到你們說：『奉主名來的是應當稱頌的。』」
35Look, your house is left to you desolate. And I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
